Thousands of aerial photos from Pierre Lahoud, Quebec's flying historian. www.pierrelahoud.com "QuebecAir" is an app dedicated to sharing a large number of aerial photos of Quebec's regions. Upon purchase, you will receive thousands of photos of the center of the Island of Montreal taken in 2024-25 and beyond. Additional areas will be added monthly. These new photos will be obtained for a very small fee, to partially offset the costs of our aircraft and photo processing. Each purchase is for the lifetime of the app. No monthly subscription fees. ## Version history (last 5 releases) ### 2.6.3 — 2026-08-04 Performance improvements and bug fixes. The user interface has been significantly improved, particularly the presentation of the photo carousel. Preparation for the addition of new areas in the next update. ### 2.6.2 — 2026-06-16 A new free version of the QuebecAir app is available on the Apple Store. The update is automatic and free for subscribers. For new users, the purchase price remains minimal. The main menus are available in French, English, or Spanish, depending on the language setting on your iOS device. Access to census data has been restored for Quebec City and Montreal. This programmed module has been greatly improved with smoother and more readable graphics. Please note, and agree, that the developers of QuebecAir do not claim that the data presented and its processing are reliable for personal and/or professional use. All functions and modules of the application are designed solely for the user's entertainment at the time of use. The results are not intended as references to be cited in any professional context. The flight section simulation module is more efficient. It offers a glimpse into how pilots Louis Parent and François Charbonneau maneuver to capture revealing angles of the landscape. Keep an eye out for the red dots on the opening page to spot what's new. ### 2.6.1 — 2026-05-29 General corrections and improvements. New documentary data distributed according to themes. Access to INSEE's 2021 census data has been restored. The access module has been significantly improved, and the data visualization charts are smoother and more readable. ### 2.6 — 2026-04-13 Numerous new aerial photographs and documentary data are organized into themes and cells on the homepage: 1. West / North / East of the Island of Montreal 2. EXPO ’67 Islands 3. Founding Villages of Southwest Montreal Island New features and modules for displaying photographs and informational documents: 1. New flight section simulation module, with user-adjustable parameters: altitude, speed, location of photographs, aircraft and subject positions, and 3 map categories. 2. Shorelines and Villages. Enhanced mapping juxtaposes aerial photographs with targeted historical documents. Flyovers of the riverbanks and stops at Montreal's former villages. Hundreds of photographs cover this tour of the Island from West to East and North to South: Île Perrot, Ste-Anne-de-Bellevue, Senneville, Cap St-Jacques, Cartierville and Bordeaux, Ahuntsic and Parc de la Visitation with its old dams, old mill and founding churches, the East End of the Island and the Old Mill of Pointe-aux-Trembles, the Port of Montreal in its active section with thousands of colorful "containers", the Expo '67 Islands, the Lachine Canal Park and its famous Rapids, all ending in Verdun, LaSalle, Lachine and Pointe-Claire. 3. Automatic slideshows with photographs scrolling every 5 or 8 seconds, both in the photo gallery and on animated maps. Users can pause at any time to analyze the spatial context or consult local documentation. Connect your iPhone or iPad to a large television screen. The slideshow images look stunning in large format. 4. Creating and saving Favorites. The feature allowing you to accumulate your own favorites has been significantly improved.
