## What is QuestFamily?

QuestFamily turns an ordinary trip to the park, the shops or the far side of the country into a scavenger hunt your kids actually want to finish — and one you did not have to invent.

QUEST FIT: KNOW BEFORE YOU GO
Every quest is scored out of 100 against YOUR family, before you leave the house. The score reads the clue text against your youngest reader's grade, the length of each stop against what a child that age can comfortably stay focused for, the walking against what their legs will happily do, the mix of challenge types against what your crew has already proved they are good at, and indoors against out. You get a plain-English reason for the score and one pip per child, so you can see it suits the ten-year-old and will lose the six-year-old. There is no AI and nothing is guessed — every part uses a published rule or your own history.

THIRTY QUESTS, SIX PACKS
Trailhead, Landmarks, Wild Trails, Museums, Road Trips and Rainy Days. Filter by how long you have, whether you want to be indoors or out, the theme, or the pack.

A RUNNER BUILT FOR REAL FAMILIES
One stop at a time, five kinds of challenge, and a three-rung hint ladder that costs points but never blocks you. Skip a stop and the quest keeps going. Pause it and it survives closing the app. Run long and the app quietly offers the two least valuable stops to drop — never the finale.

EVERYONE PLAYS, EVERYONE LEVELS UP
Add the whole family, grown-ups included. Whoever solves a stop is credited and earns the points; everyone else on the run shares in it. Eight named ranks, sixteen embroidered patches with real earn conditions, and a weekly adventure streak measured against the cadence you chose.

THE FAMILY PASSPORT
One stamped page per finished adventure: who came, what you did, how you rated it, the memories you wrote down and pictures you add. Pictures are kept on your device only and are never uploaded.

NO MAP, NO SIGNAL, NO DATA
Quests are anchored to a kind of place, not a set of coordinates, and your crew confirms its own progress. There is no GPS and no tracking, so QuestFamily works on a mountain, in a museum basement, or abroad with the data switched off.

WHAT'S FREE
The whole Trailhead pack of ten quests, the entire quest runner, up to four explorers, every patch, the streak, reminders — and Quest Fit on every single quest, including the ones you have not bought, so you always know what you would be getting.

QUESTFAMILY TRAILBLAZER (optional subscription)
Five more packs (twenty extra quests), the weekend planner, Crew Insights, quests you write yourself with a live reading-level meter, unlimited explorers, your full passport history and the trail report.
- $4.99 per month or $29.99 per year, each with a 7-day free trial
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase. The subscription renews automatically unless it is canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel any time in your App Store account settings.

QuestFamily is a game, not a guide to any particular place. Grown-ups stay in charge of where the crew goes, road crossings, and who is watching the little ones.

## Version history (last 2 releases)

### 1.0.1 — 2026-08-29

Fixed: your Trailblazer subscription could switch itself off.

If QuestFamily couldn't reach the App Store when it opened — or was still signing you back in — it could read an active subscription as inactive and re-lock the Pro packs, the planner, Crew Insights and your full passport history.

It now waits for the App Store's real answer before changing anything, and never treats "no answer" as "not subscribed". If this happened to you, opening the app once puts everything back; you can also tap Restore Purchases on the Trailblazer screen.

### 1.0 — 2026-08-27

No release notes.
