### 2/5 — interesting concept but nothing like letterboxd…

*2026-09-18*

I gave this app a try because I love Letterboxd and the dev was constantly on my fyp marketing it as the gaming equivalent. After trying it, I genuinely have no idea why. Swiping through game recommendations is nothing like Letterboxd. Where’s the personal diary, the reviews, the community around people’s taste? It didn’t look much like it in the videos either, but I wanted to give it a chance. Sue me, I’m an optimist.

**Developer response:** Hi, thanks for giving Questly a try.

A few things worth pointing out, since it sounds like the core of the app was missed here. The swipe deck is for discovery, matching you to games based on your taste. What you're asking about lives in your Profile tab: your full play history, ratings and reviews, all in one place.

On the community side, you can build and publish unique lists, get suggested people to follow based on how closely their taste matches yours, and see their activity in real time on the Timeline. That's core to Questly, not an afterthought.

We built a tutorial specifically to walk new users through all of this. If you skipped it, you'd have missed most of what makes Questly work, worth going back in and giving it a proper look.

We genuinely appreciate the feedback and would love to turn this into a positive experience, feel free to reach out if you need a hand getting started.

### 2/5 — Bugs

*2026-08-25*

When adding a game to “wanted”, the app adds it to “disliked”.

**Developer response:** Hey Jim!

Thanks for flagging this one. When a game had previously been disliked on the swipe deck and was then added to the wishlist, it wasn't removing the dislike correctly. We've fixed this in our latest update that just went live so if you grab the update, wishlisting should be working as expected. You can also press and hold on any game in your disliked list to move it across to your wishlist directly.

If you spot anything else, there's a bug reporting option in Settings that goes straight to us. We genuinely appreciate the feedback, it helps us make the app better & we would appreciate if you updated your review rating! Being new to the app store, positive reviews go a long way!

Thanks, James

### 5/5 — Great concept!

*2026-10-09*

Some of the aspects of this app need work, like the UI, but the functions are there and it nails what it’s going for. I’m a big fan of the ideas presented and hopefully it gains more traction! I recommend this

### 5/5 — Great way to avoid socials

This keeps me off of insta and more focused on hobbies at actually enjoy rather than rotting my brain.
