## What is Questo?

Turn your city into a game.

Questo is an outdoor escape game, scavenger hunt, and self-guided walking tour in one app. Over 1 million players. Rated 4.7 stars. Playable in 1,000+ cities worldwide.

Need a date-night idea, a weekend activity with the kids, or a fresh way to see a city you love? Put the phone between you and the streets, and the real world becomes your playground.

TWO WAYS TO PLAY

1. Outdoor escape games (for locals)
Spontaneous adventures in your own city. Like an escape room, but outdoors.
• For couples: "Murder Mystery: Crime on Date Night." Skip dinner and a movie and team up to catch a killer.
• For families: "Kid Quest," made for ages 4 to 8. Walk the park, solve easy riddles, take photos together.
• For friends: race to crack the case before time runs out.

2. Story-driven tours (for travelers)
Don't just look at landmarks. Step into the story behind them. Local writers turn history and legend into walking games.
• New York: "Hamilton." London: "Jack the Ripper." Zurich: "Einstein." Paris: "Lost Lovers in Montmartre."
• And new adventures: "Murder Mystery Zodiac," "The 9 Lives Heist," and "The Lost Gold."

MORE THAN READING, IT'S PLAYING
Questo isn't a text walk. It's interactive.
• Puzzles that use your phone and your senses, like blowing on the screen to clear the dust and reveal the next clue.
• Video woven into the story, so you watch history come alive instead of just reading about it.
• Time Rifts: see how the place you're standing looked centuries ago.
• Every quest reshapes the app to match its world.

PLAY TOGETHER
• Co-op: share one phone and solve as a team.
• Versus: split into teams and race. The leaderboard shows who's fastest.
• Crews: join or start a group, play together, and compete for the top spot.

KEEP THE MEMORIES
• Memories: after you finish, re-read every story and relive the quest.
• Explorer Photos: see real photos from other players, and share your own.

PLAY IN YOUR LANGUAGE
Quests in multiple languages, many with an audio version so you can listen as you walk.

HOW IT WORKS

Download and browse the map to find a game near you.
Head to the starting point. No schedule, start whenever your group is ready.
Use the statues, buildings, and street art around you to solve riddles and unlock the next part of the story.

WHY QUESTO
• Real connection: put the screens down and be with the people around you.
• Budget friendly: far less than an escape room or a guided tour.
• Flexible: pause for lunch or a coffee anytime.
• Gift it: buy a quest for someone you love.

Ready to play? Download Questo and turn your next walk into an adventure.

### 5/5 — Mal eine andere Stadtführung

*2026-09-22*

### 4/5 — Fun

*2026-09-19*

A great excuse to go for a walk with some friends.
We had a great time walking down some streets we’d never walked and learned a bit of real history while solving fun puzzles.
Check age ratings for events, as not all are suitable for all ages.

### 5/5 — Great Fun!

*2026-08-30, version 6.01.06*

A fun night out! Easy to follow, good clues. Recommend to anyone

### 5/5 — Love!!!

*2026-08-29, version 6.01.05*

❤️❤️❤️

### 1/5 — AI slop, vibe coded BS

*2026-08-15, version 6.01.04*

see title, don’t waste your time or money. drained my phones battery at a shocking rate.

### 2/5 — Fun, but—

*2026-08-06, version 6.01.03*

This is a great idea, but it more development is needed. Not enough of the locations you walk to are directly involved in the storyline, and the app was very glitchy when starting the quest.

### 1/5 — Claude, how do I ruin my app?

*2026-07-29, version 6.01.01*

Glad to see Claude was appointed head of design and engineering.

You took a well designed and unique app that was fun and easy to use and replaced it with stupid AI art and the most complicated and unintuitive experience.

Management obviously forgot to prompt AI not to lie when they asked if their decision was good.

### 5/5 — München

*2026-07-23*

Sehr interessant.
Vielen Dank!

### 1/5 — They removed my in-app review

*2026-07-17*

Do not trust the reviews of their quests. I rated their Murder Mystery: Crime on Date Night in Melbourne a 1 star. I gave it an honest review of how I felt my experience was compared to the expectation from the trailer of how quests are completed. The quest felt like I was walking from one location to another without completing many puzzles. That particular quest was very lacklustre. My partner and I even stopped to shop at two different stores because the quest was not engaging or immersive. It was honestly a shame and a wasteful purchase, one I wouldn’t have made if I actually knew what I was in for. The Questo trailer is misleading in my opinion. After leaving my review, I was met with accusation via email, sent from (supposedly) the CEO and Co-founder, Alex Govoreanu, questioning why I left my review and claimed I hadn’t even participated in the quest. However, worst of all, it seems they have removed my 1 star review from that particular quest, yet it still appears on my profile page. Don’t waste your money or your time with this sneaky, lying and misleading company

### 4/5 — Great and suggestions

*2026-06-14, version 5.63.70*

This was so fun! I would suggest a place to take notes as you go through the route as it’s hard to remember the details of the suspects.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 6.01.21 — 2026-10-18

Quests are better together, and now cheaper together.

• Playing as a group? Pick 2 to 8 phones, and every extra phone costs less
• Your first quest comes at a lower price, with a free hint pack inside
• New store: passes for a weekend, a holiday, your own city or a whole year
• Pay by card or with your credit, whichever you prefer
• Directions follow your walk and draw your own trail on the map
• Map quests follow you live, so each place opens the moment you arrive

### 6.01.19 — 2026-10-16

Find your next quest on a map of the whole city.

• Every quest start in one view, the most played ones named first
• Tap a quest to see the area it covers and the places it passes, never the route
• Search any city, zoom out to the globe, or switch Explore to the map
• Save and share the photos from your quests in Memories
• Got a code from a friend or a booking? One field unlocks the quest
• Mysteries start their clock at the crime scene, not when you tap Start

### 6.01.17 — 2026-10-13

Your gems are now credit, in real money.

• Your balance shows in your currency, and it pays for quests outright
• When it covers a quest, you pay nothing, and you see what that saves you
• Finish a quest and see what your credit buys next
• One small Help pack covers hints, skips and extra minutes
• A quest you've paid for never asks you to pay again
• Number answers get a digit box, like the word puzzles

### 6.01.16 — 2026-10-09

Your quest now waits for you at every stop.

• Each stop opens when you get there, and the clock starts when you tap, not while your phone is in your pocket
• Can't reach a place because it's closed or blocked? Say so and it opens for you
• Two challenges at the same spot? Take a breath between them
• Directions make room for the map, with the map one tap away
• The city map shows the quests you've already played
• Hint photos now show with their hint

### 6.01.15 — 2026-09-29

See what a quest is really like through photos from people who played it.

• Photos open straight in full screen, starting with the city you're in
• Switch city from the top of the screen, or see photos from everywhere
• Tap a photo on Explore and keep swiping through the whole city
• A quest's own photos now sit right on its cover
• Photos load quickly, with a soft preview while they sharpen
• Picking a quest back up after it was updated? Pictures and sound now play as they should
