Wealthsimples ui is way better and more rookie friendly, like it’s very easy to navigate and find what I want. Made a deposit and they made it impossible to withdraw the money, asked me for an infinite amount of documents, funny how I didn’t need them to make the deposit just to withdraw. At the end they stole my money. Do not use ### 1/5 — Scam *2026-08-04, version 2.0.1* When you transfer funds between accounts they take it don’t use this app ### 2/5 — Bad user experience *2026-08-03, version 2.0.1* I have been a Questrade user for about 6 years, but I seriously have to wonder why the UI design keeps changing unnecessarily. If you are going to change things, you need to make sure they are thoroughly tested first. Do you know that certain pages and buttons on mobile have font sizes that are way too small to read, and the desktop cookies popup font size is also unreadably small? Also, regarding the cookie popup, even after clicking "Manage cookies" and hitting "Confirm your choices," the exact same popup keeps appearing every time the page refreshes—are you guys aware of this issue? I’ve left reviews about this before, but seriously, it feels like there is a lack of UI/UX fundamentals, and I wonder if QA is even being done properly before releasing updates. I use both Questrade and Wealthsimple, and every time an update brings out these problem-filled new designs, it really makes me want to move my entire portfolio over to Wealthsimple. * This was my previous feedback: Once I get used to a new design, there's always another UI change that gets worse. I understand it must be challenging for your team to present a lot of information on the pages, but simply adding more features and changing designs doesn’t improve the user experience. Seriously, you need a new design team. Keep it simple, stop trying to display too much information, and reduce design changes, please. ### 1/5 — Awful Buggy App *2026-08-03, version 2.0.1* If you want an extremely buggy user experience, then by all means choose Questrade. I wasted over an hour trying to add PAD, it’s so buggy it doesn’t allow me to select anything, tried the web version, same problem. Cannot chat with agents because it’s so buggy I cannot type nor send any messages. The UI design is so awful and counterintuitive, I couldn’t tell that I am supposed to click on an underlined part of a sentence instead of a button to add a bank account. I really regret not going with Wealthsimple. Much better UI UX. ### 1/5 — Force pushes spam *2026-07-31* There isn't any way to turn off noisy spam about news articles only of interest to day traders. I don't want to be a day trader, and I don't want all these spam texts. It wants push on so it can be used for MFA. If you need to add things to the app due to client demands then do so, but don’t make us go through unnecessary extra steps to achieve what we able to do previously when it was simpler. In other words, follow the acronym….KISS….and please don’t make me explain what that means. So I transferred a bunch of my investments over to QT. It wasn’t a huge amount of money, but it’s what I had. What I discovered was that unless you use their Questwealth portfolio management option (which you do pay fees for), you get almost no return on your investments. But the BIG issue I have is that now they’re charging me all kinds of fees to withdraw my money: $9.95 for mutual funds withdrawals, currency conversion fees from funds in an RESP. Their customer service team - when you finally get through to talk to someone - is absolutely no help. To placate me for a customer satisfaction issue, they said they’d give me so many ‘free trades’ on my account, but they didn’t log that commitment anywhere so have no record of it. Now I’m having to pay to withdraw my money from QT. I would have been better off leaving it where it was to begin with. ### 1/5 — Disappointed *2026-08-24, version 2.1.2* I thought I’d give this a try and start with $500. Made two trades; 1 was a bust, thanks to Trump. Wanted the remaining funds back as a withdrawal but it’s almost impossible to withdraw on the app. Still cannot manage to get the funds back. I think quest trade is the best online company I deal with, lots of options for statements and details and good communication and the apps work well , lots of features . On iPhone , I waited 2 days then uninstalled and reinstalled same problem, phoned Questrade but of course “ we’re sooo busy greeting message “ maybe because of this problem ? EdgeMobile and website site work ok . Tried online chat but there’s no real option for a technical problem . Can’t find any postings or outages listed on google ### 5/5 — Good Investment Platform *2026-02-07, version 1.25.1* I definitely like Questrade overall however I would like to recommend a few things. It would be cool if Questrade added a Chequings account along with the ability to send & receive Interac Transfers / Bill payments etc. The Cash Account currently offered needs to be clearly listed as a Non Registered Investment account. Looking forward for when all Stocks & ETF’s can be purchased fractionally too, the Canadian ETF’s I want to get can currently only be gotten in whole share quantities not set dollar amounts.
