It’s been especially helpful during COVID as it’s reminded me to check in with everyone fto me my brother to my old college pals at varying frequencies. The notifications and reminders are clear but not intrusive and the Google Calendar integration is amazing! I didn’t think I needed to organize and nurture my friendships - they were all right there in front of me. What could be difficult about that? But the pandemic hit and I slowly realized how many of my friendships were based on coincidence, timing, and being in the same physical place. How unintentionally I had built those relationships. How easy it would be to miss out on them if I didn’t start approaching them a bit differently. Enter Queue. Suddenly I am asking myself, do I want to catch up with this person? How much do we have in common? What’s here? A define the relationship moment, if you will, for each person in my life. Isn’t this just an app? Yes. But it’s weird. When you’re extroverted and you’re forced to think about who you want to give your energy to - it’s weird how different that looks. Sometimes you get people you weren’t expecting and you build beautiful relationships you would have missed out on if you didn’t take the time to really see them. Others you miss out on because now you do see them, and it’s not right for you. I’ll admit I do know the developer and think he is swell. But I’ll tell you the output of my experience and you can judge from there: Since Queue, I’ve been invited to weddings I would not have been, and I gratefully and humbly let go of other relationships that had finished their journey and I learned I could move on. It’s just an app. But who am I now when using it? There are days when I snooze a catch up, remove people from my Queue, or just don’t feel like it. But the days that I look at the app and think, “Oh hey, how is that person doing? What would happen if I said hello?” What would happen indeed? Hello Queue. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Buggy *2023-11-24, version 1.6.4* Has been good, but every time I click add a contact from my phone, the app crashes immediately and closes out. ### 2/5 — Pay to use *2025-12-22* You will be prompted to pay when you first launch the app **Developer response:** I've got to pay the bills! That said, you can test out the app totally free and full-featured for a week before the subscription starts. ### 2/5 — Horrible app. *2024-03-04* It seems like it only can keep up with 12 contacts at one time. Whenever I add more relationships to it, they would disappear and would not be able to find them then when I would try to add them back, it said it is already inside of your queue. It was very aggravating. I would not waste my time if I were you. Not unless you want to get really aggravated and hate the day. **Developer response:** Hey Dennis! I'm so sorry you had such a frustrating experience. By default, Queue only shows you the people who are due for connection today. If you tap "Today" at the top and switch to "Everyone", you'll see everyone else. We're making some design changes to make this easier! Jeremy ### 4/5 — Extremely promising *2025-01-01, version 1.8.2* After stressing myself out trying a Notion-based CRM system and then trying to use a few variations of the Apple-native reminders to do something similar I found Queue. I think this might just be a personal game changer. I really care about being in touch with the people I care about but find keeping an overview very hard, especially with everyone being so spread out in different contexts. Being able to set cadences for contact and then for the app to tell you who is due but also to limit the amount of people suggested at any point is great. It’s a good balance of clarity but without being overwhelming. I would like to give Queue five stars but on a more technical side, it does have the feeling of an early-days app in terms of execution. It works well enough but doesn’t quite feel smooth yet. I am sure as time passes that will improve and I hope to change the rating. ### 4/5 — Loving it so far! *2024-04-10, version 1.7.4* Was looking for an app to track my professional networks and the various people I want to have coffee with or build relationships with — this was a great find! Just got it and will see how it goes. Would be helpful if a “tags” feature was added so I can filter through the contacts based on which part of my life they’re from (e.g. work, xyz project, writing, family, etc.). And perhaps a sync option with LinkedIn as well? Maybe it could suggest people to add based on recent connections made. ### 4/5 — Simple and easy, ok. *2023-05-15, version 1.6.3* I'm one week into the trial period for this as of this review. So far, I quite like it and it is helping me keep in touch with folks. My use case is to nudge me to keep in regular contact with family and friends, and to remind me of details from previous conversations as I have a terribe memory and I want a reminder to help me keep up with what's important to them. This does an ok job so far. Has a nice simple design. It doesn't pull notes from iOS contacts (my previous method of keeping track of folks life events and stuff), which is slightly annoying. It does work on the Mac and iPad, but it's scaled iPhone app which is limiting. Honestly? It's ok. But I'm not sure it's good enough to transition to the paid subscription at the level of utility it is at and for the price. If it was a one off purchase or a less expensive subscription, I would seriously consider it. Look after it. *2025-02-15* Just what I needed to manage my personal and professional network. Leverages phone contacts but you can add contacts manually too. It took a bit of setup to develop my initial queue but that reflects how much I have neglected my network more than anything. Intuitive design. Clever queuing system. Easy to use. Simple. Thoughtful. Powerful. ### 5/5 — Exactly What I Needed *2025-02-03* I’ve spent forever searching for a simple, pretty, and easy-to-use CRM tailored toward personal use. There’s a lot out there targeted for enterprise and work that are way over complicated and expensive. Queue handles this perfectly, I’m actually shocked nobody has made this yet. Easy 5/5, it is well worth it for anyone who feels like they keep forgetting to keep in touch with friends. ### 5/5 — Help for my Broken Brain *2024-07-22* Friends are very important to me, but I'm pretty terrible at keeping in contact with them. As a developer myself, I've thought for years about building a tool to reach out to important people at regular intervals. Fortunately, Queue came along and scratched that itch exquisitely well, so now I don't have to. It's lovely, well-crafted, functional, app that feels delightful and properly at home on iOS. The developer adds new features at a steady pace, and is extraordinarily ready to discuss plans and feature requests.
