Just open it and type. The only thing I would like is an easier way to delete notes. ### 4/5 — A very good app *2016-02-09, version 2.1* I don't write many reviews. I must say I am impressed enough with this app to do so now. It is easy to use and has a pleasant interface. In addition it offers a great deal more functionality than the native Notes app. ### 5/5 — Review *2015-12-20, version 2.1* As simple as the pre-installed Notes app but much more visually appealing. Just the right amount of features, too. Quick Drafts opens in a flash with a brand new note, which I can then export if I want to Evernote or email. It is so easy to use and quick to upload to Dropbox. ### 4/5 — Hard to write at the end of text *2015-05-20, version 2.1* When writing a long paragraph that expands several screen lengths, tapping on the last sentence brings up the keyboard and the cursor changes place. The cursor should be where I tapped but instead it's several lines above. In order to go to the last line, I have to hold the cursor and drag it down to scroll. ### 4/5 — Sweet & Simple (Updated...) *2015-05-15, version 2.1* I keep this on my home screen; my go to app for texts, notes to Evernote and brief emails. Update: Still a GREAT app, however the send to Evernote link/action no longer works. I especially like the checklist feature where even when I check completed, it stays there bite the font is faded! I have been using this app for many years and about 1 week ago while trying to open it up, I got the following message “Quick Drafts” Needs to be Updated. The developer of this app needs to update it to work with this version of IOS. I tried to get app support but no luck. I am unable to access the material that I have saved in this app. Please developer update this app so that I may get my material! I would be so grateful - thank you! ### 1/5 — crashes *2016-04-17, version 2.1* this was one of my favorite apps until I selected the option of opening in dropbox in settings. it did crash immediately and won't open again. I have 20+ documents that I'm not able to retrieve, rendering me extremely disappointed. If said bug is to be fixed I will update my review and give it five stars without hesitation. ### 1/5 — Have to downgrade. App no longer works :( *2015-06-07, version 2.1* This version on iPad is ugly but I was willing to overlook that, initially when the app seemed to deliver what it promised. It doesn't. In principal and even upon first use, this app seems great - until I tried to do more than type and use the features it claims to have. If Quickdrafts worked as advertised, imho, it would be great but as said, it doesn't. Typing works well. It opens quickly to a blank page, shows word count (a personal like for me) and responds well. Linking was easy. Dropbox and Evernote confirmed linked successfully. So far so good. Then it's all downhill. 1) Send to Evernote error "could not post to Evernote" (with no explanation) 2) Open in (substitute any app here) give no response. Did the app freeze? I hit "cancel" and was taken back to the app. I tried again with same result. 3) Send via Email also does nothing. It opens a blank page pre filled with my email address and that's it. No text in the email body or attached. I hit "send" anyway, just to test, nothing happens. I waited, still nothing. What a shame. If Quickdrafts is great in theory but then I've got a great theory for world peace. Easy to learn. ✔︎ Easy to use. (In principal ✔︎/In Reality 🚫) Fast & Effective (In principal ✔︎/In Reality 🚫) ### 1/5 — Worked til last big update *2015-02-10, version 2.1* I use this app all the time and had no problems before the last major overhaul. Now, suddenly, the app is unbelievably buggy. For example: after opening an existing note and trying to tap in the middle of the page to add text, it immediately scrolls all the way to the bottom. This sometimes happens repeatedly before I can get the cursor where I want it. It just keeps assuming I want the cursor at the bottom, no matter where I tap. Also, when writing a to-do list, text longer than one line will not display. Another irritating development is the "Make To-Do" button. If you have an existing note and accidentally click "Make To-Do," the list automatically converts to a to-do checklist with bubbles at the start of each line. That's not a big deal, because you can change it back, right? But when you try to hit the button again and convert it back, it doesn't exactly convert back -- now you have dashes (hyphens) at the start of each line. Please fix these small but very annoying new quirks!!! I used to love this app, but it has so many glitches now that it's hardly worth using. ### 3/5 — Have loved the app for years until now! *2022-11-07, version 2.1* The app is no longer allowing me to copy and paste, which was very important to me and the three stars if it wasn’t for that, it would get five stars. Also, there’s no chance of finding the developer for HELP as his website doesn’t exist and there’s no other way to contact. Unfortunately, I’m going to have to find a substitute. Oh well, it was free and good while it lasted. ### 3/5 — Prior version *2021-06-22, version 2.1* I have a prior version of this that worked fine until iOS 14.5. It no longer works and I have no way of retrieving my notes. No way to contact support. When tapping on the icon to start the program, a message shows up saying that the developers need to update the program to work with this version of iOS. ### 4/5 — Great app but crashes now *2021-11-27, version 2.1* Very simple way to quickly and easily keep lists for whatever you need. A recent IOS or upgrade causes the app to immediately crash and I can no longer access the lists I was keeping. Ugh. ### 4/5 — 4 out 5 stars and here is WHY *2021-10-19, version 2.1* I love this app and uses it constantly to write down thoughts, take notes in meetings, copy/paste Texts from other sources or to send something to my email. I just wish the contents can be backed up in the cloud. My iPhone crashed the other day and I was able to restore everything (pics, emails, messages apps, including QD). However, I lost all the notes, important information I had on QD). I was really frustrated over the fact that I was not able to restore my notes. Otherwise, I would have given QD a 5 star. Tech Dept. - please work on that :). ### 4/5 — BEST *2019-11-18, version 2.1* I've gone through maybe 25 different note apps and this one is great but recently I have had the following problems 1 - can’t email the ⬆️ button is not working 2 - cursor acts funny 3 - trying to copy a small portion on the page is nonfunctional ### 4/5 — Great app but the cursor makes my blood boil *2017-09-26, version 2.1* I’ve been using this app for years, and overall it’s great. The one thing that makes me crazy is that the cursor bounces around wildly and for no good reason. For example, you might try to use the selection sliders to outline a particular piece of text, and it will fly up to the middle of the note randomly, forcing you to scroll back down and try again. This makes it frustrating when trying to copy and paste, and sometimes I feel like spiking my phone into the ground like a football, but it’s my only real complaint. Otherwise the app has lots of powerful features and a clean UI. If they fix that I will revise my review. ## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — M. A.
