Sometimes you just need a simple no nonsense place to write down your thoughts and ideas. I love the iOS notes app but, sometimes having everything in one place make things difficult. Just Good old Journaling. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Pull To Refresh iCloud Sync Data Loss | Needs Auto-Exports *2026-08-28* 8/28 Update: Doesn't fix anything, Developer cannot be reached professionally. He's literally only on something called "X"... which is weird and I'm not making one. He does NOT have an email address, which I'll have to talk to Apple about all of this. I have hundreds of apps and this is the first app that has no email. He did add an "Import" finally, but it unfortunately does absolutely nothing. He evidently doesn't test any of these things before launching. He should look into Apple's TestFlight Developer Program. Finally, at least add a metadata-Editor to match up with the original entry dates, due to it being deleted from original times. 8/16: I legitimately lost ALL of my journals entries upon enabling iCloud Sync on Quick Journal! Now, the only thing that the app shows is specifically six random entries stating: "Test Content" I had over 1,000 Notes now ALL GONE from this app 😭 the only saving grace is if the developer adds code to import existing exported entries from iCloud Drive. **Developer response:** Hey there. I’m so sorry to hear about this experience. I have tried to trace why this occurred and I think I have a potential fix that I will push live as soon as possible. If the update does not fix your solution, please let me know. I also have a way to likely recover your entries using ICloud Backups, if you have feature that turned on. However, more functions should be added like allowing import photos, unlocking using face ID A little bug is that when I choose option “2 line entry preview”, it can’t preview the full length of line 2. ### 4/5 — Backup and export *2025-07-05* Hey there charlie, downloaded this app after I saw your linkedin post and have been using it for the past 9 months. It has everything need to create a customized journaling experience. This app is easy to use right out of the box. One feature request: integrating a Share system so I can highlight text in other apps and Share it with Quick Journal. Nothing extravagant, don't need graphics import, just text. Second future feature: simple #tags maybe?
