The students love that I can give them their grade as soon as I scan and I love that I have an analysis as soon as I connect again (which is as easy as pressing the sync button). I use it for formative and summative evals. The only fault, which could be my phone, I have to turn the classroom lights off to reduce the glare on the scantron sheets; if not, it misreads the scantron and says the student has left answers blank. Well worth the money! My classes are large because we do not have enough high school math teachers. I am a veteran teacher of 31 years and I could not survive without this App!!! I have been using it for 2 years! Perfect for TST when students get to retest. Immediate results, record and let the students look at it again! Easy to set up, easy to use, and the people who created it are on top of their game, improving it often!! Well worth the money to go PRO. I could not not make it without this App!! Thank you Quick Key!! ### 5/5 — New Multi Answer / Multi Select is great *2017-01-16, version 0.4.14* 4.14 adds multi-answer and multi-select as well as point weighting, which gives me a lot more felxibility in what kinds of quizzes I can make and grade. the 1-to-1 app is definitely getting better too, and I can see student scores from their devices, on my device. Cool! I'm still wanting more "feedback" from the scanner, because when I show people the app, they still have a hard time understanding how to use the scanner (hold it flat, etc..). The students papers are marked instantly, the moment they are handed in. No need to set up another machine or computer, it's all right there at your finger tips. I've also been impressed how quickly the company responds to questions or suggestions, they have outstanding customer support. Importing student/class lists, creating assessment answer keys, and collecting meaningful data is effortless and takes seconds to complete. Wonderful program!!! I use it for exit tickets, survey questions, quizzes, test questions, and exam questions. The new updates are constantly improving what I'm able to do with the program, and the staff at Quick Key are very helpful, and will respond to your emails with efficiency. As a teacher this is a small fee I am very willing to pay for an extremely useful classroom tool. ### 5/5 — A must-have for educators!!!!! *2016-11-23, version 0.4.11* Quick Key's suite of assessment tools are second to none. The mobile app is tremendous, and the web-based system have allowed me to collect critical data on my students in extremely quick and useful ways. It has allowed a flexibility that I did not have in previous years of teaching. The developers are very open to ideas and have continually put forth a high-quality app. 5 stars are not enough. ### 5/5 — Great for quizzes and tests! *2016-11-18, version 0.4.10* Like that I get unlimited scans and can import rosters from Google Classroom. I generally just put in the key rather than questions. Scanning drains your battery but I think that happens for all scanner-type apps. Love the data view. I can quickly see where kids did great and where they need work. The Premium subscription is a great deal as it allows the importing and a couple of different bubble tickets. Oh, and those tickets save on paper, too. I make a class set of tests and have students use the back of the ticket to show work. ### 5/5 — Efficiency and AWESOME service rolled into one! *2016-11-18, version 0.4.10* I absolutely love quick key. The folks there have made my transition to a pro account this year so easy. Every question I've thrown their way has been answered so quickly, and they've even accommodated my individual requests with new features. I can't speak highly enough of their team. App does not use correct camera on my iPhone 13. Email to support did not get an answer. Link to support is broken. Yet, they still charge for “Pro” level, or whatever it’s called. Unusable, and the fee I paid should be refunded. ### 1/5 — Can’t sign in *2023-01-14* Tried downloading it and was prompted to sign in, but no option for creating an account available. Despite numerous efforts and multiple trials with the extremely basic tutorial, quizzes would not scan. Green guiding bars were not helpful and only increased frustration as these would appear green to signify "go" but never acknowledge a scan. Not worth a try after this teacher's experience. Also, it does not permit multiple answers on one question (i.e, with more than one option as a response). I will personally stick with the Scantron machine at school unless I find more time available to experiment in search of better apps. ### 1/5 — Keeps crashing *2015-01-12, version 0.4.0* I use an iPad Air first generation, latest OS. even before updating to the latest iOS, previous versions of QuickKey kept crashing intermittently. Now I'm lucky if the app stays open for three or four menu presses before it crashes. The app is super easy to navigate as well as very versitile in its costomability when assessing my 8th grade science students. The scanning feature couldn't be any quicker or accurate, even when my students mark outside of the bubbles or use pen. By the time I can move to the next bubble sheet to score, the app has already automatically located and recorded the results of the next student's answer sheet. The report funcion gives instantaneous results exportable to Excel spreadsheets, which helps tremendously in visualizing results, remediation of curriculum, and future planning. Couldn't be happier! Oh! and their customer support was extremely quick, reassuring, understanding, and solution oriented. ### 5/5 — My experience *2018-01-30* I'm a new user of this software, but so far, I can say that this software has tremendous potential to impact our classrooms. I teach math to adults who are pursuing their GED at an underfunded community center; this software can give us real-time insight as to how we should structure our lecture material. He cheerfully walked this tech dinosaur through the basics (and beyond) of Quick key, so I'm ready to get started. It was nice to speak to a former teacher about the things that are important to me in a grading app- it looks like they've got a lot of those bases covered. Quick Key already seems so much more user friendly (and cost effective) then the other grading app I was using, so I'm anticipating a good experience.
