### 5/5 — Great, well designed app. Top notch actually

*2026-04-04*

Been looking for an app for Mac that sits in the menu bar. I went through literally dozens of apps for a place to take quick and good notes. None seemed to fit. They were too much or not enough. Many if not most just didn’t look good and were no fun to use. This one has stuck. Really well designed and useful. So much better than other quick note takers and by far the best sticky app. The notes don’t get in the way and the designer really included all the right design and utility functions. WELL DONE!

### 5/5 — Integrates Really Well and Has Significantly Helped My Work Flow

*2026-02-27*

This app has really helped me during my readings for school. I tried the original Mac/Apple sticky notes app, but didn't really like how the note couldn't stay above the current application I was reading on (for reference, I use Zotero for my class readings).

This app was a lifesaver among the various options and I was able to use it how I imagined in my head. I usually list out key ideas for what I should annotate/look out for during a reading on a note, and this app has significantly helped with my work flow during those sessions.

I highly recommend this app for anyone who has dense readings to get through, and doesn't really want to break their immersion in having to swipe back to a different application window to see what key points they should take note of during or make small notes about a reading.

### 5/5 — The Best I’ve Found

*2026-02-15*

This one just ticks off all the items on my checklist. It sits quietly in the menubar until needed. Individual notes can be pinned to the desktop if desired. Nice formatting options within the notes. I tried a bunch of these including some better known apps that I think we way over-hyped. This one is definitely worth a look. I use it almost daily. Whether you want to maintain a list of movies to watch or a simple reminder/to do list. Or, just a scratchpad - a quick place to jot down something that you’ll need a little later. Color coding is a real winner with the list pastel options. I use it as a scratch pad to help me remember keyboard shortcuts that I don’t often use. It’s by far, the best for me at least. I rely on that iCloud Sync feature too. Definitely Go Pro for a few bucks.

### 5/5 — Love the APP for Task Management

*2025-07-28*

I have used other sticky note-apps for keeping track of task like side notes, but I easily forget about them later on. What sets this app apart is the sticky notes can be moved and are always present. Only time they disappsidenotesen I fullscreen an app. Folders are hidden in the menu bar item, which is nice. I like how minimal the themes are. After having tried both I prefer quick for tasks that need to be done today and sidenotes for tasks I want to do sometime later.

I can’t wait for image support to be added.

### 2/5 — Good App, but Not Actually Free

*2025-06-26*

While I like this application, I feel mislead by the AppStore page. No where in the store page does it mention that free users are only able to use it for a set period of time before either paying or losing access. I have no issues with a developer charging for their work, but I only found out that I would lose access to this when my notes were being covered by a pop up saying my trial will expire soon.

I would have happily paid for this up front, or paid for it now if I had known that I would need to from the beginning. However it being snuck in without mention despite this being advertised as a free application in the App Store just puts a bad taste in my mouth.

**Developer response:** Dear User. Sincere apologies for the inconvenience.
What you are saying is absolutely right. To fix this, I will add this information while we onboard the users on the first launch of the app.
Also, you still have full viewing and editing permission even after the trial ends.

### 5/5 — Cannot recommend this app enough!

*2025-05-23*

UDPATE: I meant to update this a million years ago but the app store was being annoying and not letting me, but I digress. I contacted the developer about the issue not expecting a response at all. They responded and let me know when the title issue I had mentioned previously was fixed. So on top of the app being my most used, the developer s very attentive and nice! Shell out the reasonable price for this app if you are a constant note taker like myself!

I love this app and use it daily.

A bit of feedback about the 5.0.3 update and a humble request: In previous versions the popup tab list accessed via the menubar used to display the whole title of notes and adjusted the width accordingly. Now the width is fixed, and it cuts off the title of my notes in a weird way. The way it displays now makes it difficult for me to navigate my notes in an efficient way, and it also looks quite weird. Otherwise quick note was a 5 star app before this. I've been using quick note since 2022 so the update makes it a little disorientating in that regard.

**Developer response:** Hey. Thanks for updating your rating. Can you please share me the screenshots of the issue on the same email for me to have a look? It is difficult to communicate here..

### 4/5 — Great looking app

*2025-04-21*

Works as advertised. Very helpful to have at my fingertips. I do have a couple suggestions for feature improvements. In line with the MacOS, it would be great to be able to collapse a note by merely double-clicking on the header. Also, after having a few notes on screen — and having to move them periodically around so I can access parts of the screen they cover — it’d be nice to have the ability to one-click a collapse and stack of all open notes.

### 4/5 — Like it but can be improvements

*2025-03-21*

I like it so far, it stays on top like an actual sticky note would, Has text formatting, and an option for transparent background. I would like to see some improvements in future updates. The option to download on iPhone so I can review notes when away from my desktop even having it on iPad would be helpful. There’s a small thing where if you are doing a numbered list the numbers don’t start anew if you change levels, just continue. Also would be good to change the level of transparency instead of just all or nothing. But so far I like it a lot better than the others I have tried, mostly due to its text formatting features. Helps to organize

### 5/5 — So Far the best Organizing apps I have found!

*2024-12-18*

I am a very busy student, who was always trying to find a app to keep me oragnized. Though all of the other ones with the calendar and extra features made me stressed. When I came along Quick Note and decided to give it a try, it was the best thing ever! It's simple and gets the job done, every one has their own way of staying organized, though you should give Quick Note a try, maybe it will work for you!

### 5/5 — Better than Stickies, Notes or TextEdit

*2024-01-14*

I needed a quick way to pull up a stickies type note with a keyboard shortcut from anywhere, and had been using TextEdit for quickly taking notes.

This is way better! Well thought out design, just enough features to be extremely useful without cluttering the UI with unecessary things.

You get Stickies style notes that can be pinned and unpinned to float above windows at will, a Notes style basic UI for managing saved notes and putting them in folders, and a fast way to start a new note from the menubar or a shortcut, with iCloud syncing.

My only suggestion for improvement would be to add a way to create a folder from the "Show all Notes" window. Right now you need to create a folder from a note that's open in its own window, but it'd be nice to be able to create folders from the management window as well.
