But recently they changed it so you have to watch a 30 second ad before accessing the link you scanned. After the ad is done, you have to find the X to close out the ad and hit it just right or you get taken to the advertiser’s website and have to start all over again. I opted out of upgrading and went back to the page that would normally display the results but instead I received a new prompt telling me I must click a new link and pay to unlock my barcode results. By the time I’d got through the ad, the code I was trying to scan timed out on the kiosk screen that I wanted to scan. Many QR codes these days appear on screens that have some sort of timeout. It just repeats 30 second to 1 min apps that I can’t skip. Couldn't even delete because the app blocked any options!!
