### 1/5 — Update took away my favs and added monthly subscription

*2024-11-08*

Great app but all my saved favourites have disappeared since new update. Spent ages doing them gonna have to do all over again…

Was free but now asking a monthly subscription so now limited what I can do now. Ridiculous was 100% free before !!!

**Developer response:** Hey, sorry to hear that! We tested extensively the migration of old to new data, and it should have been migrated.

Apparently the old app code couldn't be updated anymore, so we had to make a shift to a new technology in order to provide future updates and improvements.

Besides the new features you should still be able to use the app for free like before, the scanning and adding should actually work even better :)

### 1/5 — ?

*2024-02-09*

Cannot understand how to put food on list

### 1/5 — Date changed

*2023-11-29, version 1.1*

Does not keep my submission for the date. Now I can’t find today’s submissions

### 3/5 — Okay

*2024-11-21, version 2.1.1*

I wanted an app to track calories that isn’t weight loss obsessed (as trying to maintain not lose). This is simple and effective (and free!)

EDIT: no longer free. You need to subscribe for “unlimited tracking” now. Ok in principle but the app has too many bugs to be worth paying for at present. The entries not always showing up after you save them for example. Hopefully it will continue to improve. Deleted for now, may come back to it later.

### 3/5 — Love the simplicity - but doesn’t save meals?

*2024-06-04*

I just started using the app, and I see it was last updated 1 year ago.

I added my first entry in the app, and it looked fine. But when returning to the tracker, I noticed the amount eaten was blank—resulting in 0 eaten.

I think it needs a new update?

### 3/5 — Looks promising

I like the concept of a simple tracking app like this that doesn't collect data. I would be willing to pay for it (not a subscription,) however right now it's showing repeating decimals and isn't very funtional (how to enter. Everything I scanned from Target brand refried beans to nutritional yeast had the correct calories, so that's great! Keep going and I'll check it out again in a few weeks. You also can't look up things without a barcode? Search would be nice.

### 4/5 — It’s good

*2025-11-10*

It’s my fav calorie tracker but recently it’s been crashing after adding a couple of meals. It won’t open unless I delete it and re-download it and then I have to add my favourites again :( I hope it gets fixed as it’s my favourite tracker

### 4/5 — Calorie tracker

SECOND EDIT: started using this again. So far so good 👍🏻

**Developer response:** Thanks for your feedback, I'll work on making it more stable!

### 5/5 — Love the app But

*2026-04-20*

The only thing I see that could be better with this app is the favorite list I would love for it to be alphabetical order… Also I would love to have the weight part to work it dose not it gives me a failure message… Other than that I really love the app…

### 5/5 — Best Food Tracking App Upon the iOS AppStore

*2025-04-25, version 2.1.5*

Best food tracking app upon the iOS AppStore! Hands down the best! I have tried 100+ different food tracking apps, but they all have inadequacies. Some were too expensive, some do not record water, some do not record weight, some cannot export etc. KCal Quick Track has ALL of these features and more. If you are looking for a strong, simple, minimalistic app, that records your food, your calories, your weight, and your water, with export capability, then this is the app for you. I will never stop using this app. Thank you for producing something that I’ve been looking for for years!

I just wanted a simple calorie counter so I could quickly tabulate what I’m consuming.
This app just gets straight to the point. I appreciate the clean user-friendly interface. not like the others with all of these elaborate screens, causing friction.
