We are doing a ton of pipe bending including through stud. I have been getting some reps in and learning how to map out a run, but this is SO HELPFUL for visualizing and executing bends. Very intuitive to use, and it is conceptually very helpful. It’s become absolutely essential when figuring how to bend pipe. My favorite feature is the “Multiple Bends”. 2 questions though: 1. Could it be possible to add a compound 90 into the “Multiple Bends”? 2. Could you also add a way to add space between the different bends you load. For example, say I wanted to make a offset and then a compound 90 after that, but wanted to add 11 3/4” between them. It would be nice to be able to add that into the list of “bends” rather than having to make that adjustment manually. Overall it’s a fantastic tool, I’ve just encountered scenarios where those features would have been helpful. **Developer response:** Thank you for the review. 1. I'll look into adding compound 90s for multiple bends, soon. 2. I've considered doing this, for a while. However; I think the complexity of the feature would make it more difficult. I love that for every bender they go into detail, teaching you what the parts are and the measurement factors for each one. My only gripe is I wish they would add diagrams to the bender specs as each manufacturer uses a slightly different set of marks and design. ### 5/5 — Exceptional App! *2023-09-25* I only write reviews when I feel extremely compelled to and this is one of those cases. I’ve tried almost every other conduit bending app and this is hands down the BEST value of all. Most other bending apps have a terrible UI and clunky controls that are frustrating and unintuitive. This app has a beautifully designed, and functional UI that makes everything clear and easy to read. It also features unique functions like the option to have all marks on the pipe set for the deduct line so you don’t have to try to remember which bender reference to use on which bend. It also tells you when a bend will be difficult or impossible to perform by changing the color of the numbers. Not to mention it has clear and concise step-by-step instructions for every single bend you could need to perform. Great for JW’s that struggle with explaining things. Totally worth the money for the tools you get in the app. ### 5/5 — Easily eliminate 95% of your conduit math *2023-08-15* QuickBend **crushes**…well worth the 4$ to a fellow IBEW brother. Choose your bender (Chicago, sidewinder, shoe, hand benders of any and all brands), your type of bend (back to backs, offsets, 90’s with or w/o kick, splitting 90’s over an obstacle, you name it) and QuickBend spits out the numbers so that you can make all of your conduit marks before making a single bend. I have been in the IBEW Local 98 for 23 years and this is by far the worst bending app. Save your money and look elsewhere! ### 1/5 — Over rated *2017-04-04* I bend conduit for a living. I purchased this app to assist me with large diameter conduit to reduce costly material waste. The goal was to pick the correct electric bender, take this apps markings, and make a perfect waste free bend. The "general" math when bending 1" or 2" conduit is the same. The execution of the bend is specific to the bender (size of conduit, hand bender, electric bender, hydraulic bender, etc). Using "general" conduit math on small (easily bent) conduit is fine. When you can't "unbend" more costly and larger conduit sizes, "general" conduit math is unsuitable. Therefore, not worth the purchase. I will "real world" test this app, versus results from my "experience". Depending upon results, I will update my review to retract or confirm. **Developer response:** I'm sorry you feel that way, but the formulas aren't done with general conduit math (I'm assuming you mean the cosecant method, or better known as the multiplier method). It is clearly stated in the description that the formula is based on the shoe's centerline radius that you are using. You learn something new everytime you use it. The only negative thing I can say is the user may become too dependent on it and forget how to calculate old school way.
