## What is QuickieBike for CitiBike?

QuickieBike shows you the nearest CitiBike station with available bikes, right now. No searching, no scrolling, just the station you need. I made it because I was frustrated about having to pull out my phone to find an open dock station while riding.

What it does
Open the app and instantly see the nearest station with available bikes, how many bikes and e-bikes are there, how many docks are open, and how far away it is. The Apple Watch app puts the same information on your wrist, with a watch face complication for one-tap access.

Filter for what you need
Looking for an e-bike? Only want a station where every bike is electric? Need a free dock? A single tap switches the filter and instantly shows the nearest matching station. Double pinch tap on the watch to jump to the nearest open docks view.

 Look anywhere
Tap and hold on the map to search from any location, for planning ahead or checking a nearby corner. Your real location stays visible as a blue dot while the search point shows in green.

Apple Watch
The full experience is on your wrist. A watch face complication keeps your nearest station one tap away.

Privacy first
Your location never leaves your device. No account, no sign-up, no tracking. Station data comes directly from CitiBike's public feed.

E-bike and dock filters are available as a one-time purchase after a free trial.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.08 — 2026-07-14

I was annoyed by the first update of the day being more out of date, so I added a new check to flash the whole station info while it's refreshing if it's stale. Enjoy!

Better indication of when you're using a pinned location, some performance and scrolling enhancements.

A new minimum threshold selector. Traveling with a friend or five? Don't want to take a chance on walking to a station with only one bike? Tap and hold the number selector to change it for 1 hour or set a new default.

Share with friends via QR code link. QuickieBike is a passion project and it depends on your word of mouth!

Again fixed a small bug where the complication was timing out after 12 hours. The complication was timing out! What are we even doing here.
