I delete and reinstalled…… big mistake as my data was on the iPad not cloud stored and I lost every single notebook. I somehow found a couple that were in one drive but only one of them imports. Likely the latest update causes the problem as reinstalling didn’t fix the issue. Hopefully they fix it. ### 2/5 — Missing/Disappearing Files *2025-05-29, version 5.4.5* I have been using this app for less than a year. I use it at work to organize my notes between each client. I loved the original simplicity of the app. I do not believe I am overloading this app with info. However, I have been noticing recently that my files and notes disappear, making it very difficult to be ready for a meeting. It’s not located in a different file, it’s just gone. I have to remake files and notes I know I’ve already made, which is making me feel very confused and crazy. I reached out to the app customer service email about my concerns a couple weeks back with no reply. I will sadly have to go find a new app for work. Not sure this app is worth the $5. ### 1/5 — Ipad Pro M4 with ipencel Tracking Bad *2024-10-26, version 5.4.3* I tried to use this app. When trying to write with my ipencil on an iPad Pro M4 Chipset 13 inch display The writing location is about 3 inches from the touch contact on my screen. Rather than telling us what we want the dev should be listening; any degree of thought would have quickly made it apparent that forcing one finicky text option on the entire userbase (like Nintendo with motion controls) is unhelpful in this world full of people with varying levels of dexterity and accessibility. ### 2/5 — Free features are great. I’m not sure if it’s supposed to be this way or just doesn’t work well. Great as a notebook app. Additional pens are cool too. I’d focus on just that. ### 4/5 — Powerful PDF Notetaker with inexpensive add-on features *2023-12-29* For less than the cost of a set of pens, you can import large stacks of PDFs and annotate away. Reorder pages, add pages ruler lined or graphing… Even thought to download a bunch of free coloring books to entertain my toddler… My only knock is that those nominal upgrades don’t seem to carry through to shared family purchases. It’s just disappointing. After many hours of use without paying a cent, I spent $5 without too much extra thought, just to get the different color pens and peace of mind with exporting notebooks and pdfs. but after $5 just for that, I wouldn’t want to spend another $1 just to buy the pens for my toddler… Maybe I should have compared the different packages before purchasing - and reached out to ask whether purchase sharing is supported. ### 1/5 — Wonderful but poor execution *2023-11-27, version 5.4.2* Tried it but was disappointed and delete it. The instructions said to swipe to move from page to page but got blank pages instead of the next instruction page. Sometimes, I got the next instruction page. When I tried the lasso and surrounded the doodle the instructions told me to create and tried to move it, it did not. Then, I moved to a previous instruction page and another lasso moved to that page and would not disappear until sometime later. When I moved back to the page where the lasso was introduced and I was told to create a doodle to use with the lasso. It finally worked and was able to move it around. Another hassle was, the screen has some lines that moved across the screen in a second or so every few seconds. Terrible. Deleted it. I need something that works and helps not hinder my work. ### 3/5 — Very glitchy this month *2023-11-20, version 5.4.2* I paid for access to this and it had been great for a year. This month, the app keeps crashing and it’s getting frustrating. After having iPad I searched a lot to find a similar app for writing and QuickNotes was better than the others for my purpose. Although I still miss Samsung Notes, I am getting used to QuickNotes. I keep journaling so it’s nice to have the feature that one can create different notebooks with different covers. I also wanted an app that I could have simple environment and this app have it all. However, I like to write with a brush having pencil texture. It would be so great to add pencil brush to the brush menu. There is something that is a little irritating, stylus and finger touch are active simultaneously and this makes an unwanted zooming or brush strokes when I try to write with stylus. Could you please add an option to turn off finger touch completely. Thank you *** After a while, I’d like to post a review again and add to my previous one. I found out how the finger touch can be turned off and get it out of the way of stylus pen. It’s simply by turning on the Bluetooth connection while in the settings menu writing only with Apple pen is on. I have been using it for a long time. But, today suddenly it started to crash when I want to add a new page to one my notebooks. Also, there is plenty of space on my ipad but it keeps saying that I am low on disk! However, shortly into using the app, I noticed that the app crashes very easily. You will try to move a file and it randomly files itself to a random folder or the app crashes (or both). I then have to sift through every folder in hopes I find the note. I then can’t move that file out of that new random folder it landed itself in, as that’s too much for the app and it will crash again. It will not allow me to delete a file either, so it’s very hard to try and clean up space in the app. I emailed the app creators about my app concerns months ago and never received a response. ### 1/5 — App glitches *2026-07-03, version 5.5.2* This app has been problematic for years. I chose it because of the password protected books you could make. A feature not common with other note taking apps. But It glitches and crashes constantly. It is excellent for my day-to-day use and has a very user-friendly interface compared to other products. The possibility to record lectures and interviews is very helpful for those who love to look back at their old notes and revise them after a few days. Moreover, the synchronization of voice recordings with what I’ve written is a wonderful feature, I love it! The app is constantly being updated with new features and I find this amazing. I also love that it can sync my notes to see them on other devices such as my Mac. This made my job much easier, and I also don't need to worry since all the files I create are automatically saved and updated. There are many other useful features such as being able to resize and rotate drawings or written words and the possibility to have an unlimited number of pages in each notebook. My daughters have also downloaded this app and they use it daily for college. They love the possibility to create folders, import and write on PDFs, add bookmarks, create favorites and shape recognition. These features helped them become more organized and stay more productive. Writing with Apple Pencil is very fluid and precise. You can also type text in any part of the page using your keyboard. After having purchased the Pro upgrade in 2018 we have never been asked for additional money even after this many features were added.
