## What is Quiet Practice?

Quiet Practice is a quiet corner for your phone.

It’s a minimalist journal and focus tool built for people who are tired of every app trying to "engage" them or sell their data.

It uses your phones local database, which is just a technical way of saying your words stay on your device.

No cloud sync, no data leaks, and no "sign in with Google" walls. You just open it and start.

**The focus part**
I've included a few looping audio environments like "Fuji" (lo-fi beats and rain) and "Aurora" (distant piano).
They're designed to be background noise that actually stays in the background. If you use the iOS widget, you can see the daily prompt on your home screen to remind you to take a second to breathe.

**The reflection part**
There are two main tools here:

Future Letters: Write something to yourself and lock it for a few months. It sits in a vault on your phone until the timer hits zero.
Mood Mosaic: This is a grid that colors itself based on your daily check-ins. It’s less about "data science" and more about seeing a visual map of your year.

**Why this matters**

Most "mindfulness" apps are actually just data collection businesses.
This isn't. It’s 100% offline, it doesn't track you, and it doesn't have an "explore" feed to distract you. It’s just a place to think.
