### 2/5 — Fans become unpaired for no reason

*2026-08-23, version 2.0.4*

If I don’t use the app to talk to the fans in a while, they become unpaired, causing me a super annoying journey into the ends of the attic to re-pair them. There’s no reason for this.

### 4/5 — Great fan

*2026-08-17, version 2.0.4*

This is a great fan and I can see it clearly reducing my attic temperature during summer. But, I do have issues in accessing the fan status and runtime statistics. Relying on Bluetooth only for access means I have to be close to it to and cannot see the run status when I am away from home.
The analytics page could use some improvements on the app as well. Fan info page says attic temperature is 94, analytics page says 79(I think this is average, but page does not call it out) and chart is over 100. Page interactivity is pretty bad even though it looks good

### 3/5 — Wi-Fi connection

*2026-08-09, version 2.0.4*

Wi-Fi connection is okay, but it would be more convenient to have the fan controller connect to our network so we can access it from anywhere.

Currently I have to go into the bedroom closest to the fan to connect to it. My garage door opener has mow sophisticated connectivity than the new fan.

### 3/5 — App use

*2026-08-01, version 2.0.4*

Bluetooth connection unreliable

### 3/5 — QuietCool Smart Controll

*2026-07-28, version 2.0.4*

I’d give it 5 stars but the app is slow connecting to the fan. It had a faster connection a couple of years ago but something changed.

### 2/5 — Wi-Fi

*2026-07-25, version 2.0.4*

The app needs to connect to the fan with WiFi so you’re not limited by Bluetooth range.

### 3/5 — Bluetooth only

*2026-07-19, version 2.0.4*

Cannot be paired it with the remote control unit. I wish it were WiFi so I could check it remotely.
I like it that I can see the current temperatures and to see and be able to change the settings.

### 2/5 — Buggy

*2026-07-18, version 2.0.4*

The intended functionality is quite good. Unfortunately, the app always seems to have a lot of bugs.

### 3/5 — App works, but laking remote connection

*2026-07-11, version 2.0.4*

The fan and remote control works great, but the app lacks functionality. I am not able to connect to the fan from outside of my home network.

### 1/5 — Bad product

*2026-07-08, version 2.0.4*

The hub is useless, company is aware, sending me an updated hub…but the att. Fan, Quietcool 2.0 should have never been on the shelf as they knew the hubs had issues. Now I have to work in a 145° attic AGAIN to replace the part.

### 1/5 — Slow and flakey

*2026-07-03, version 2.0.4*

This app has always been slow to connect to my fan. In the last day it started to connect slowly and then say “sensor failure” before it flashed some data and then regressed to the home screen. Tonight it will spin for a while and then not show an error and not show the normal information, but just go back to the homepage like I didn’t click on a fan. Weird. I contacted support 13 hours ago and no response yet.

### 4/5 — Great Smart Attic Fan

*2026-07-02, version 2.0.4*

Can only be controlled within Bluetooth range, great looking fan, great working fan, but really why do you or I need to see minute by minute fan operation. All you need to do is set it and let it work according to the temperature or humidity triggers that will turn it on - so it is smart and Bluetooth is enough because it just works

### 1/5 — App Analytics Unreliable

*2026-08-19, version 2.0.4*

App temp analytics get stuck after a few days of use and no longer update. Analytics text status is always out of sync with live data.

### 1/5 — Update

*2026-08-18, version 2.0.4*

August 15th update. Nothing to update. Spoke to two different "customer service" peeps. 1st one says historical data on test rigs works fine. Continues to gaslight me that it's user error. 2nd technician says it's a firmware issue. Working on a solution. So once again. The app/firmware is very poor. Depending on who you speak with...support is very poor. Fan itself rocks. But I purchased the fan for data collection...a smart fan. Which continues to be advertised on QC website.

Aug 7th update. Nothing to update. No historical data, app remains unusable. See below.

July 15 update. Fan rocks. App horrible. No update for a month since pulling the app. See below.

June 21 update. Hardware still rocks. Removing my 5 stars for the app just now just started to not work and no more analytics. This time I won't obsess and contact technical support for no support. I'll simply wait until the app come back on line.

Rocky start. Now very happy. Couple weeks ago I posted essentially great hardware, very poor app and not so great support. After a couple calls with Matt (Customer Support) I am both very happy with the app and the hardware. Thank you Matt for your follow up.

### 1/5 — Headaches!!!!

*2026-08-09, version 2.0.4*

Every time it updates it disconnects the controller and the app and i need to physically push-button pair it. And the updates are often.

### 1/5 — New app is horrible still

*2026-08-08, version 2.0.4*

Was great, new app versions takes 1-2 minutes to load each fan. Huge downgrade and it’s been months and they haven’t fixed it. No longer recommend the company due to the lack of fixing this after this long.

The new app is really really slow. They take a good functioning app and made it super super slow and tedious. This takes the product from a “must have” to a “maybe we don’t recommend it”.

### 1/5 — 4 days in Bluetooth wont connect

*2026-08-04, version 2.0.4*

After almost a week of use the Bluetooth won’t connect will need to get back in attic really frustrating

### 1/5 — Good fan, horrible app

*2026-07-29, version 2.0.4*

When I bought the fan a few years ago the app would connect instantly. Recently updates changed the app and it takes a very long time to connect. I turn it on and off every day in the summer.
Also, the climate setting have no way of setting a "turn fan off at" temperature so when smart mode is turned on the fan just turns on even though it's 67 degrees and it's sett for 80.
It also does not work via WiFi so I can connect away from home. Only BT. Which, again, takes a bit of time to connect.

### 1/5 — Connection drops

*2026-07-21, version 2.0.4*

Always find myself having to pair the fan with the app. Connection isn’t consistent.

### 1/5 — Analytics?????

*2026-07-17, version 2.0.4*

Analytics aren't ready for prime time. Will profile a few days a month and that's it, wait another 30 days for it to prime a few more days. Kind of embarrassing for QC. Don't bother contacting them because they will say "their engineers are aware". Would be very helpful if the feature worked. And also I noticed this season the app takes forever to recognize the fan....

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Hot and humid southern attic

*2026-08-15, version 2.0.4*

We had our roof redone and they took out our attic fan and covered the whole saying that it should passively ventilate. That was a huge mistake! We put in this smart gable attic fan and now it’s better than before! Humidity issues fixed and temperatures in the home are so much easier to maintain. We have had it for just over a year and there only a few months where it ran a lot, and a couple of months during the winter when it didn’t need to run at all.

### 5/5 — Too True

*2026-08-13, version 2.0.4*

Didn’t believe all the claims at first, but with this heat wave our house is less humid and COOLER! Quiet Cool is Too True!

### 5/5 — Awesome product!

*2026-08-07, version 2.0.4*

The attic fans are a lifesaver! Especially in this 90-100+ weather!

### 5/5 — 2 Gable Fans

*2026-08-04, version 2.0.4*

Very quite and helps cool down attic

### 5/5 — Temp control

*2026-07-24, version 2.0.4*

I thought I was going to have to pair every time the power was cut. I’m old so this was so easy to control. Very easy and that makes me happy!

### 5/5 — QuietCool is the Coolest

*2026-07-19, version 2.0.4*

My neighbor suggested an attic fan get installed on second floor attic to help reduce the heat and issues I’m having. I have two AC units and it’s always hot on my daughter’s second floor bedroom. The ac thermostat was set to 69 and it would still be 74. The QuietCool attic fan is amazing and has helped 100% with reducing the heat. The smart app monitors the fan and I love knowing I can regulate the fan. I only wish I knew about it sooner. I chose the QuietCool fan because we work from home and don’t want any noise when it turns on which is what my neighbor has. Now he wants the same one. Happy Summer !

### 5/5 — Excellent Smart Control for attic fans tasked with removing heat!

*2026-07-08, version 2.0.4*

I Love my Quiet Cool Bluetooth attic fan, Smart controller! I jump on the summer Florida heat, & start removing it early in the morning!

### 5/5 — WiFi would be a great addition

*2026-07-04, version 2.0.4*

Nice App and fan! Bluetooth is cool but the addition of WiFi would let the fan be controlled from offsite. Not critical, but would be a nice feature.

### 5/5 — It does what it says

*2026-06-30, version 2.0.4*

It does what it says

### 5/5 — Quite Cool

*2026-06-29, version 2.0.4*

It was easy to install and the app was pretty straight forwards.
