## What is QuietOTP?

QuietOTP is a local-first two-factor authentication (2FA) manager. Every code is generated on your device, and your secrets never leave it in plaintext.

■ Supported tokens

· Standard TOTP (6–8 digits) and HOTP
· Steam tokens (5-character, identical to the Steam Mobile Authenticator)
· Battle.net authenticator tokens
· Scan otpauth:// QR codes, Google Authenticator export codes, and Microsoft-compatible codes

■ Import without a network

· Camera scanning — images are parsed on-device instantly, never stored or uploaded
· Paste a secret manually
· Import a .maFile from SteamDesktopAuthenticator
· Restore Battle.net with serial + recovery code, derived entirely on-device

■ Built for security

· On-device encrypted vault, unlocked with Face ID / Touch ID / fingerprint
· Copying a secret requires a second biometric confirmation
· Codes can auto-hide after a few seconds to prevent shoulder-surfing
· Screenshots and screen recording are blocked so codes cannot be captured by malware
· Recovery codes are masked by default and must be explicitly revealed

■ Encrypted backups, free forever

Exported backups are encrypted with a password you choose and can be restored on a new device. We consider protection against data loss part of security, so this is never paywalled.

■ QuietOTP Pro (optional)

· End-to-end encrypted cloud sync — data is encrypted on your device before upload; we store only ciphertext and have no way to decrypt it
· Steam online binding — create a token directly, or run alongside the Steam Mobile Authenticator
· Custom accent colours and pinned tokens

Pro is entirely optional. Nothing local or offline is gated, and the number of tokens is never limited.

■ Privacy

No ads, no third-party tracking SDKs, no advertising identifiers, no behavioural analytics. If you never register an account and never enable cloud backup, we receive nothing about you beyond a randomly generated anonymous identifier.

Subscription terms: Monthly and Yearly are auto-renewing subscriptions charged to your Apple account on confirmation. They renew at the standard rate unless auto-renewal is turned off at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Manage or cancel anytime in your system subscription settings. Lifetime is a one-time purchase and does not auto-renew.
