## What is Quill?

Quill turns speech into searchable text and clear summaries — completely on-device. No account. No cloud. No subscription.

RECORD
• One tap to record, with pause, bookmarks, and a live transcript as you speak
• Keeps recording through calls and with the screen locked; crash-safe by design
• Lock Screen Live Activity with pause and stop

TRANSCRIBE
• Choose your language before recording — Vietnamese, English, or both mixed
• Vietnamese appears live as you speak, not only after you stop
• Fast on-device transcription with timestamps for every word
• Vietnamese support with full diacritics — plus a dedicated Vietnamese model
• Import audio and video files, or share them from any app with "Transcribe with Quill"

SUMMARIZE
• Meeting notes, action items, decisions, and open questions in seconds
• Action items become checkboxes you can send straight to Reminders
• Templates for meetings, lectures, interviews, and personal notes

FIND ANYTHING
• Search every transcript instantly — Vietnamese diacritics included
• Filters by date, language, and tag; results jump to the exact audio moment
• Recordings appear in iOS Spotlight search

PRIVATE BY ARCHITECTURE
• Works in Airplane Mode from first launch
• The only network activity is optional model downloads — auditable in Settings → Network Activity
• Audio protected with iOS file encryption; optional Face ID app lock
• No analytics, no tracking, no account. App Store privacy label: Data Not Collected

EXPORT EVERYWHERE
• Transcript as TXT, Markdown, DOCX, PDF, SRT, VTT, or JSON
• Summary as Markdown or PDF; audio as M4A
• Everything goes through the system share sheet — Quill uploads nothing

ONE-TIME PURCHASE
• Free: unlimited recordings, the first 10 minutes of each transcribed, one summary a day, all export formats
• Quill Pro unlocks unlimited transcription length and unlimited summaries — one payment, shared with your family, no subscription ever

## Version history (last 2 releases)

### 1.1.1 — 2026-09-29

Choose your language before you record. Vietnamese and mixed
Vietnamese–English now transcribe live, as you speak — not only after you
stop. Pick which model listens in real time, keep an eye on a recording from
anywhere in the app with the new recording bar, and rename any recording from
the library. Also fixes a crash when starting a recording.

### 1.1.0 — 2026-09-08

No release notes.
