## What is Quilt & Fabric Calculator?

Stop guessing your fabric math. Quilt & Fabric Calculator answers the quilter's constant question — how much fabric do I need? — for every part of a project, from backing to binding to half-square triangles.

Enter your quilt or block sizes and get the yardage right away, based on standard 42" width-of-fabric, with a cutting diagram so you can see how it's laid out.

▶ Backing, binding & borders
Calculate yardage for backing, continuous binding and borders from your finished quilt size.

▶ Block & quilt sizing
Go from block size and layout to finished quilt dimensions, or start from a size preset (crib to king).

▶ Half-square triangles
Work out how many HST you get and the cutting size you need for the finished square.

▶ Pre-cut conversions
Convert between fat quarters, fat eighths, jelly rolls, charm packs and yardage in either direction.

▶ Inch & cm
Switch between inches and centimeters for standard bolts and metric fabric.

Every result comes from transparent quilting math using a standard 1/4" seam allowance and 42" usable width, so you can trust the numbers and cut with confidence. No account, no internet needed — it all works offline. Fabric widths and shrinkage vary, so add a little extra for safety.
