## What is Quiltd?

Quiltd is a shared home for the things a household has to keep track of together — the chores, the bills, the filter that needs changing, the policy that quietly expires in March.

It is built for the people who live under one roof: a couple, a family, or up to six roommates. Not a project manager, not a corporate to-do list. One home, and the handful of things that go wrong when nobody is sure whose turn it was or who paid.

A SUBSCRIPTION IS REQUIRED
Quiltd is free for the first 14 days. After that, everything below needs a subscription: pay what you can, $1, $3, $6 or $10 a month, and one subscription covers your whole household.

TAKE TURNS WITHOUT KEEPING SCORE
Chores can alternate between you automatically. Whose turn it is this week is worked out from the calendar, not from a tally someone has to maintain, so nobody has to remember who did the bathroom last time. Tick something off on your phone and it disappears from theirs a second later.

CHORES THAT RESET THEMSELVES
Daily chores clear overnight, weekly ones on Monday morning, monthly ones on the first. Or give a weekly chore a day of its own, like the trash on Tuesdays, and it clears on that day instead: it keeps off Today until then, and stays there until somebody does it. You never reset a list.

BILLS BEFORE THEY ARE LATE
Every bill with its amount, its day of the month, and whether it is on autopay. Anything billed every six months or once a year waits until the month it is actually due instead of cluttering the list. The month view spreads them out, so a six-month payment shows its real monthly cost.

REMINDERS THAT ARRIVE ON TIME
Quiltd schedules reminders on your phone itself — bills three days before they are due and again on the day, upkeep when its interval comes round, renewals a month before they lapse. They work with no signal, and each person sets their own, so turning yours off does not change anything for anyone else.

ROOMMATES WELCOME, AND NOBODY'S INCOME REQUIRED
Choose Roommates and Quiltd starts with what you share: rent, utilities, the bathroom. It never asks about anyone's income. Give each bill an owner and split it Evenly, One pays or Custom; everyone sees their own share, and each person ticks off their own. It turns Paid once everyone has.

THE THINGS YOU ONLY NEED TWICE A YEAR
Upkeep that runs on intervals — the AC filter, the smoke detectors. Renewals that cost you if they lapse. Contacts for the leasing office and the after-hours maintenance line. The network name and where its password is kept.

AND THE WEEK ITSELF
Dinner for each night, a grocery list grouped by aisle, and a calendar you can export to Apple, Google or Outlook.

QUILTD DOES NOT STORE YOUR PASSWORDS
There is nowhere to type an account password or a Wi-Fi key. It records where each one lives, like your password manager, so whoever needs it knows where to look.

A FACE ID LOCK, IF YOU WANT ONE
Switch it on in Setup and Quiltd asks for Face ID, or Touch ID, whenever it has been closed for a minute or more, with your passcode as a fallback. Nothing about your face reaches Quiltd: your iPhone only tells it yes or no.

WHAT IT DOES NOT DO
No adverts. No analytics. No tracking of any kind. Nothing is sold, and nothing leaves your household. You can download everything you have entered as a single file whenever you like, leave a household without losing your account, and delete your account from inside the app in two taps.

THE SUBSCRIPTION, PAY WHAT YOU CAN
Quiltd needs a subscription once the 14-day free trial ends. Pick $1, $3, $6 or $10 a month, whichever feels right: every price opens all of Quiltd, and one covers everyone in your household. It renews monthly until you cancel, and you can change or cancel it any time in Settings on your iPhone.

Setting up takes about a minute, with the common answers already filled in. The last step is an invite link for everyone else, with the code built in, and they choose their own name when they join.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.0.5 — 2026-10-10

Two new home-screen widgets, a calmer weekly check-in, and Calendar gets its own tab.

HOME-SCREEN WIDGETS
• Your day: see what's on your plate, what's late and what's coming up, without opening Quiltd. Comes in small and medium.
• Add to the house: one tap to add a chore, bill, event or grocery straight from your home screen.
• Press and hold your home screen, tap Edit, then Add Widget, and search for Quiltd. Widgets need iOS 17 or later.

THE WEEKLY CHECK-IN, ONE STEP AT A TIME
• Tap your check-in in Coming up and Quiltd walks you through the week: what's late, chores still open, the next seven days, and everyone's fair share.

CALENDAR GETS A TAB
• Calendar now sits in the tab bar. Money moved into Home, and your bills also show on Today.
• ◆ now adds an Event for today, and you can switch on a reminder if you want one.

SMOOTHER ALL ROUND
• Help, Privacy and Terms open inside Quiltd, with a Back button.
• Forms and sign-in open with the keyboard out of the way, so you can see what you're filling in.
• Screens slide at full size, and a double-tap no longer zooms in.
• Every item in Coming up opens again when you tap it, not just the first.
• The sign-in screen and forms no longer pop the keyboard up before you tap
• Smoother screen transitions, and a double tap no longer zooms the screen

### 1.0.4 — 2026-10-07

Quiltd has a whole new look, room for roommates, and a new way to pay. Most of it started as an idea from someone using Quiltd. Thank you!

A WARMER, CALMER QUILTD
• New colours, new fonts, rounded cards and a new app icon, in light and dark.
• Five tabs: Today, Chores, Money and Home, with ◆ in the middle.
• Buttons press in under your finger with a gentle tap, and screens slide like the rest of your iPhone.

TODAY, AT A GLANCE
• Needs you shows only what's late, On your plate shows what's yours, and Coming up shows the next two weeks.
• Tap ◆ on any screen to add a chore, bill, reminder or grocery in a couple of taps.

CHORES THAT FEEL FAIR
• See everyone's chores at once, and roughly how long each one takes.
• Tap your initial for your Profile: chores done this month, days in a row, and each person's fair share of the time and the money.
• When someone finishes a chore, everyone else can get a quiet heads-up. Switch it on in Setup.

ROOMMATES WELCOME
• Up to six people in a household. Choose Roommates when you set up, and Quiltd never asks about anyone's income.
• Give each bill an owner and split it Evenly, One pays or Custom. Roommates see their own share and tick off their own.
• Leave a household and keep your account, or remove someone who moved out.

MONEY, HOME AND THE CALENDAR
• Money sorts bills by when they're due, and The month shows who pays what.
• Home gathers Groceries, Meals, Upkeep and Renewals, each with what's next.
• The calendar puts bills, chores and plans on one month, with a weekly check-in on Sundays if you'd like one.

PAY WHAT YOU CAN
• Quiltd is now $1, $3, $6 or $10 a month, and every price opens all of it. One subscription still covers your whole household.
• New to Quiltd? Your first 14 days are free, and Setup shows when your first payment is.
• Already subscribed? Nothing changes unless you want it to. Switch price any time from Profile > Manage. If you ever cancel, Quiltd tells you when it ends instead of promising a renewal.

FIXES
• Bill reminders no longer arrive for bills you've already paid, in months a bill isn't due, or on the wrong day.

### 1.0.3 — 2026-10-03

Nearly everything in this update started as a suggestion from someone using Quiltd. Thank you, and keep them coming!

INVITE YOUR PERSON WITH ONE LINK
• Share an invite link from Setup, or right at the end of setting up. The invite code is built in, so there's nothing to copy across.
• They tap it and Quiltd opens with the invite ready. No Quiltd yet? The link shows them where to get it.
• They choose their own name when they join, and every phone now opens as whoever is signed in, so your chores are truly yours.

LOCK QUILTD WITH FACE ID
• Turn on Lock with Face ID in More > Setup, and only you can open Quiltd on your iPhone.
• It asks once Quiltd has been closed for a minute or more, and your passcode is always there as a backup. Touch ID works too.
• Your face stays between you and your iPhone. Quiltd only ever hears "yes" or "no".

WEEKLY CHORES GET THEIR OWN DAY
• Trash on Tuesdays? Grocery run on Saturdays? Give any weekly chore its day, or leave it on Any day.
• It shows up on Today on its day, and waits patiently (in red) if it slips.
• Take turns now swaps on the chore's own day, so every turn gets a full week.

PICK A CHORE, SKIP THE TYPING
• New chore opens with a list of common chores. Pick one, tap Add, done. No keyboard required.
• Got one that's all your own? Custom chore is always right at the top.
• Bill categories, event and renewal kinds, account groups and what each contact handles now come from tidy lists too, so "Utilities" never turns into "utilities".

ADD THINGS RIGHT WHERE YOU'RE LOOKING
• Each chore section has its own Add button, already set to daily, weekly or monthly.
• Bills get a big, friendly + Add a bill button too.
• The tiny + in the corner has retired from Chores and Bills. It had a good run.

A LITTLE TIDYING
• Rows you tap now line up perfectly with the rows around them. Tiny, but it was bugging us.

### 1.0.2 — 2026-09-23

A new icon, a way back in if you forget your password, and fixes: the Today tabs are readable in dark mode again, scrolling bounces like it should, and joining a household no longer overwrites the other person's name.

Quiltd is now $3 a month, one purchase for the whole household. Homes set up before this update are not affected.

### 1.0.1 — 2026-09-22

Fixes a bug where new households started with an example event on the calendar. Adds a way to replace your invite code if it ends up somewhere you didn't intend.
