Which is create a design totally from scratch using my fabric swatch images and then provide block cnt and yardage at the end. It’s just a bit clunky in its execution. Updates I would love to see - Minor items: - Allow renaming of saved quilt patterns. Currently if I want to rename something I have to save it again with the new name and then manually delete the old version. - Allow renaming/editing of existing color selections. Currently I have to delete and start over if I mess that up. Major items: - I honestly think this is a glitch, but the custom pattern section will not let me select additional pictures from my existing photo library. It did it once, but won’t allow me to add more now, so I’m just stuck with only the images I selected that first time. This means I have to use the camera function there for any new patterns which is frustrating if I don’t have the swatch or pattern set on hand to photograph again. - Allow uploaded images to be used when setting a color scheme for the block templates. Currently I can only create a RGB/HSB based color scheme for use with the template blocks. The upload functionality already exists in the custom pattern section, so why can’t I set an uploaded image as a color in the color scheme section for template blocks? This would allow me to create designs using template blocks that are actually colored as my existing fabric swatches. ### 2/5 — Time consuming *2020-12-17, version 1.36* I wanted to love this, but it’s not user friendly! Even offering some preset colours, or the ability to change colours (rather than delete and restart) would speed up the process. It takes hours to get a whole quilt plan in. I’ve tried many times over the few years I’ve had this, but I always end up with graph paper and pencil crayons! They are fairly different. Haven’t spent a great deal of time working with either one (life has taken over some of my sewing time), but while working through them, I have emailed back & forth with Chris, & he is very responsive & helpful! These apps are definitely works in progress, but I feel like he is working to improve them daily. I think the bundle price is fair! Can’t wait for the next update! ### 4/5 — Developer seems to be working on improving things *2019-04-19, version 1.32* There is no way to add sashing or boarders, or put blocks on point. And while you can make custom blocks, not with the default blocks. I would love to see those become available in the future. That being said this app has made leaps and bounds and I hope it continues to improve. As such I’m improving my review. Keep it up! ### 3/5 — Needs more features *2019-04-08, version 1.32* I really would like to upload fabric prints instead of only being able to choose colors when making my own blocks. For example, upload photos of my fabric and then be able to use the fabric photos to create new blocks like HSTs, etc. ### 1/5 — It’s a good idea *2019-04-04, version 1.32* Not really a fan of how it’s set up, I wish you could just choose any color when you’re making the quilts instead of only being able to use colors from ones you manually have to enter Into color schemes and then you can only use those themes when experimenting, I don’t think it’s was worth $8 ### 1/5 — Can’t change the sizes of quilt blocks *2019-03-29, version 1.32* Had the app for 5 minutes and realized I wasted my money. You can’t change the sizes of the quilt blocks you upload. You can only say how many squares you want, not the size of the quilt. ### 3/5 — Helpful, but needs more *2019-03-27, version 1.31* I enjoy using this app for designing my quilts. Unfortunately, it’s limited in some aspects. 1) I cannot figure out how to get smaller squares for the sash and binding. So, I never get a good perspective for the final product as the sash and binding show up as the same size as my blocks. 2) it would be helpful if there were a way to make notes about the fabric being used (info such as the size of the fabric I’m using, how many squares I can get out of it, where I purchased it in case I need to go back and get more, etc.) 3) it would be helpful to be able to edit the names of my blocks 4) it would also be helpful to be able to export or print out the blocks I have created. It’s easier for me to find duplicates that way. I am currently working on a sampler quilt with roughly 150 blocks.
