I’d give it five stars if I could get the cats OFF the quilt! They were cute at first, but they like to nap on the goal tiles and block my view while I’m trying to play. This is why I own dogs. ### 4/5 — Love the game, please fix bugs! *2026-02-10* I love the app version of calico but twice now I’ve had an online game get stuck where it is my turn but when I go to open the game it just perpetually loads and I can’t get in. Even when I close the app or restart my phone I still cannot access the game. I either have to let the game timeout and lose karma or I have to delete the game and lose karma. Besides the bugs I’d love additional master quilter challenges since I’ve completed all of them as well as the story. Overall I love the game and highly recommend, minus the occasional bugs. ### 3/5 — Great game - please fix hangs *2026-01-11* We enjoy this game a lot; play both against the AI and also in multiplayer mode. But, we’re getting some hangs which are difficult to recover from. I had one in a 3 way match which I deleted - and lost 5 karma. I want my karma back! Also, I see a button for feedback rarely in the game, but can’t figure out how to surface it when I wanted to report this. ### 3/5 — Great app but buggy *2025-07-22, version 1.0.478* Really like the app. Interface is cool and I love the challenges and different modes. Do wish it was less buggy as twice a friend and I have had to give up on games because the app freezes with a loading screen upon entering the game and just had to fully reinstall as it started crashing every time I loaded it. Lots to keep track of but never felt overwhelming. Story mode is a little weird - in one part there is a war in which generals need a quilt made and their uniforms have to be patched/mended by you? There’s even a guy who is missing an arm… little dark but… Ummm… K. 🤣 Overall, will playing this on many a plane and car ride, I imagine. Save your $! ### 1/5 — Great game but repeatedly stops working, no support from developers *2025-06-03* Periodically, the game just stops working — it loads the splash screen and then crashes. Only way to “fix” is to delete and reinstall, losing all progress in the story and master quilter mode. And all other settings and customization. This has happened to me five times in the last two months. Multiple other users have experienced the same bug. Developers have not even seemed to acknowledge that the problem exists. Too bad, because it is a good game and would be much more fun to play and much more worth the money I’ve already spent on it if it actually worked. ### 1/5 — No iCloud save *2025-04-08, version 1.0.463* Would give zero star if I could. Game crashed on startup. Upon redownload, all custom cats and challenge progress were reset. Why ask for Game Center sign in when no basic iCloud save can be implemented. Loved the boardgame version, but digital version is so halfbaked and frustrating. The multiplayer game can drag on for hours, need option to match based on turn duration and better matching. The solo game needs more gamification, like unlocking cats or costumes, current version feels to dry. ### 1/5 — Glitch with invite friend function *2025-04-05* Error of ‘player not found’ when inviting a friend to play an asynchronous game. But I want to play online with my deployed hubby and it glitches every time—frustrating! Like the whole cat worshippers thing is just so… like… why?? 😂 Why take a perfectly cool and chill game and make it weird? I don’t know. The graphics and game play are wonderful. There are several different challenges and ways to play. However, it repeatedly crashes and will not allow me to even get into the game or drops. I have deleted and reinstalled the game losing all my progress. Need more levels! ### 5/5 — Amazing game *2025-07-14* Once I got the game I was checking out the options on the title screen, so far my favorite is the cat customization option, and then I remembered that the game is about cats and quilts and that there is only a cat customization option, so I would like to know if this game could add a quilt customization feature to the game. There’s three goals: meet your design challenges, collect buttons, and attract cats. At first it felt like a lot to keep track of, but once I got the hang of it it’s exhilarating. Great strategy game which just enough luck to keep it novel.
