### 4/5 — Super, mit einer kleinen Einschränkung

*2025-02-16, version 2.3*

### 5/5 — Update created errors

*2019-09-27, version 1.7.1*

Most recent update as introduced errors in the scales....not all notes are shown with the sharps of the key signature
Update: after providing the initial review the developer was quick to act on my comments and fix the errors!

### 5/5 — handy little useful app

*2019-07-14, version 1.6.2*

:)

### 5/5 — Einfach und Gut

*2019-01-26, version 1.6.1*

Kein Schnick-Schnack und tut was es soll. Nix Werbung, nix Probleme - toll. Das perfekte Helferlein. So sollte es immer sein. Der Quintenzirkel wird zum Schüttelreim. ;-)

### 5/5 — Die beste App zum Quintenzirkel

*2018-11-25, version 1.6.1*

Einfach aufs wichtigste beschränkt👍

### 5/5 — Mehr braucht es nicht!

*2018-10-08, version 1.6.1*

Einfach und simpel ohne schnickschnack. Top App.

### 3/5 — Cool app but...

*2017-11-30, version 1.6*

Maybe I’m a music dummy but mine says “H” for the B scale & notes when I’m pretty sure it should say “B”... what is the H scale?

### 5/5 — Spitze -

*2017-07-19, version 1.5*

### 5/5 — Perfect Key Signature reminder app

*2016-09-16, version 1.5*

Recommendation and praise to Oliver Hahn for this no-nonsense "Circle of fifths" app. Suitable for quick reference (and learning assistant) key signature reminder. Selecting the root note in the circle, will display the key signature with treble, bass & alto Clef options provided plus the scale along the stave.
Perfectly happy with this app at present time but future build suggestion - would recommend a sound generator/polyphonic keyboard to be able to play & hear the pitch of any note within the stave 😉

### 4/5 — Great app

*2016-06-22, version 1.5*

This is a great app for learning the circle of fifths/fourths in music theory. Each position on the wheel also shows each note of the major scale in that key. The only issue is that there appears to be a bug on the Gb position of the circle. Sometimes it shows up as Gb, other times as F#. This position seems to have a mind of its own. Tapping the position sometimes changes it back and forth, other times it doesn't. There was no way to provide feedback to the developer but it is otherwise a very useful app.

### 5/5 — Richtig Super!

*2016-04-03, version 1.5*

Vielen Dank!

### 4/5 — Great

*2016-02-10, version 1.5*

Support for tenor clef would be nice but other than that great app.

### 5/5 — YIPEEEEE

*2016-01-26, version 1.5*

Yeaaaaaaa

### 5/5 — Quinterval

*2015-11-24, version 1.5*

Thank you Oliver! Really helpful to learn

### 5/5 — Simple

*2015-10-05, version 1.5*

Simple. Easy. This is all I need. Thank you.

### 5/5 — No app like this on the app store

*2015-02-24, version 1.4*

So useful because i'm studying scales and im so glad i found this!

### 5/5 — Add free and free

*2015-02-08, version 1.4*

Great app, a lightweight interactive circle of fifths. Thanks!

### 1/5 — Missing C Maj sharp & flat

*2023-06-18, version 2.1*

I wanted to use this to quickly see diatonic Chords . Please include the traditional Roman Numerals to the degree scale at the bottom . Please add Cflat Maj with its 7 flats . Please add Csharp Maj with its 7 sharps, even though it is rarely used.

### 1/5 — It doesn't work

*2015-10-06, version 1.5*

I went to update the app and for the last few days it's just a gray box that says installing but nothing happens. I tried to delete the app but it won't work.

### 1/5 — Glaring omission—app produces no sound

*2014-02-20, version 1.3*

I must be missing something as this app produces no audible tone for the purpose of training ears or rudimentary tone checking of the musical scales it displays. Absolutely useless and misses the point of developing for an iPad/iPhone.

### 1/5 — Looks Fantastic

*2014-02-17, version 1.3*

But I couldn't figure out how to use this.
I obtained the app to learn a bit more about scales/intervals.
The dial in the middle changes the graphic at the bottom, but I can't figure out the relationships that are being shown.
Looks like this app might be useful if you already know about the subject, but if you want to learn about scales I don't see how you can figure this out, there's no help available.
Looks beautiful, but just have no clue how to use this.

### 1/5 — Absturz beim Start - so unbrauchbar

*2012-10-11, version 1.2*

iOS 5.5.1 iPhone 4S

### 1/5 — Since the last update it closes

*2012-10-11, version 1.2*

Since the last update it opens and then closes right away. Not useable at this time. I have removed it and re-downloaded but it didn't help.

### 1/5 — Worst app

*2011-11-26, version 1.0.1*

Can't do anything

### 1/5 — Application inutil!

*2011-08-12, version 1.0.1*

Comment ça fonctionne ?!?!!!!!!

### 2/5 — Only goes to 5 sharps.

*2013-11-17, version 1.3*

shows the user that G-flat is the same as F-sharp, and that D-flat is the same as C-sharp -- eventually -- but does not go all the way to 7 sharps, and it's tricky figuring out how to get those to display predictably. This interferes with uts usefulness as a study tool.

### 3/5 — Looks useful

*2020-01-30, version 1.7.1*

How does this work?
Could use some in-app instructions & explanations.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — 5/5

*2025-02-16, version 2.3*

Very helpfull

### 5/5 — Great app!

*2023-02-22, version 2.1*

This is a great app, with clean UI, and good pricing for the full version. My only gripes are that you can’t do both options for accidentals placing(which could be solved by either making both options checkboxes, or adding a third option that is just “Both”), you can’t have multiple octave scales (which could be a box with the current number of octaves in the scale, and +/- buttons on either side. The scale could automatically resize itself to fit), and the lack of arpegios (which could just highlight the notes in the current scale with a different color if they are in the arpegio.) Thank you for reading my review, and I understand if difficult to implement features like multiple octave scales aren’t added, but simpler things would like my first and last idea would be greatly appreciated.

### 5/5 — Simple and easy to use

*2022-10-04, version 2.1*

This is exactly what I needed! I was looking for an app to help me learn key signatures as well as practice doing scales on my violin. Would be nice to be able to change the fingering numbers for other instruments, but overall a minor thing since the app runs so well and is easy to use.

### 5/5 — Top!

*2022-08-02, version 2.1*

Sehr schön gestaltete App und sehr hilfreich!

### 5/5 — Fabulous tool

*2021-04-25, version 2.1*

I have used this app for a long time. It’s always been my go to source for scale revision on the go. This current version helps me even more now it includes the minor scale notes and the triads. Well done sir!

### 5/5 — Love the app

*2020-11-04, version 2.1*

This is a great teaching tool.
Looking for access to have arpeggios, extensions, inversions, the basis is there.
It’d be a total theory app then!!
Thank you.

### 5/5 — Perfect!

*2020-08-26, version 2.0.2*

This is exactly what I need. I have the option to view the bass clef and see all the notes including the Nashville number system. It’s so handy. Thanks for this app. Love it

### 5/5 — ...

*2020-07-21, version 2.0*

You forgot the scales with seven sharps and flats. They are important though.

### 5/5 — Excellent for learning

*2020-05-17, version 2.0*

The only suggestion I could make for improvement would be audio output from the wheel itself; this would then make it a great compositional aid, as well as a tuition guide.
Never the less, it’s good to see a 7yr old app still getting updated, despite the low number of reviews.
Reviews are subjective anyway, and the number of them usually points to a mix of praise with caveats, or outright “.....I’d happily pay £xxx for this if only it had ‘y’ (insert non constructive petty criticism here).
I usually get too engrossed in a good App to remember to review it, or give some positive feedback; the same would be true of this also but the developer deserves some recognition and credit for an excellent and very handy ‘necessity’ for aspiring musicians. Nice work. Thank you!

### 5/5 — sehr schön übersichtlich, aber:

*2019-10-09, version 1.7.1*
