## What is Quit Promise?

Built by a doctor to help you quit vaping or smoking, with someone in your corner or on your own. The app essentials are free, whether you're quitting or backing someone.

FREE

• Evidence-based quit plan, shaped by your answers, for vaping or smoking, with the choice of using nicotine replacement therapy (NRT)

• One-tap help when a craving hits: 3 minutes of guided breathing, a reminder of your reasons for quitting, and a quick text to someone in your corner

• Recovery timeline: see how your body recovers from 20 minutes after quitting through to long-term health milestones

• Unlimited buddies and supporters

• Private messaging for encouragement and accountability

• Daily check-in: one tap shows your supporters you're still quitting, and your quit streak grows.

• Money saved tracker

FRIENDS & FAMILY SUPPORT

Invite a friend or family member to support your journey, quit alongside someone as accountability buddies, or become someone else's supporter and invite them to quit.

Supporters only see what you choose to share, and you can pause or remove anyone at any time, so you're always in control of your privacy.

BACKING SOMEONE?

Being a supporter is free. See how they're doing, get a nudge on their big days and their hard ones with a message ready to send, and cheer them on in one tap.

## Version history (last 3 releases)

### 1.2.0 — 2026-10-17

Puff Promise is now Quit Promise. Same app, same progress, new name.

• Already quit? Bring your streak: pick the day you stopped, and your timer, savings and plan pick up from there.
• New daily check-in: one tap shows your supporters you're still quitting, and your streak counts every day you check in. Slips don't break it.
• Having a hard day? Check in with "Hard day, but still quitting" to let your supporters know, with a breathing exercise if you want one.
• If you smoke and vape, money saved now counts both.
• Your quit plan now helps you cut down gum and lozenges too, not just patches.
• A fresh look: brighter colors, easier-to-read text and a new icon.
• Bug fixes and improvements.

### 1.1.1 — 2026-08-20

Puff Promise now has a whole side for supporters.

If someone's backing you, they get a Today screen for the person they're supporting, insights over time, and a prompt that tells them when to say something — and what. They're never notified when you slip.

Also new
• Invite someone in your own words — one tap, code included
• Every friend on one screen, with a Message button on each
• 25 challenges that unlock as you go, from a 3-day reset to ten years free
• The full 12-week quit plan, visible to whoever's backing you
• A progress card worth posting, generated when you hit a milestone
• Check in with one tap, and a breathing exercise offered on the harder days
• Log a batch of puffs with a long press
• Counts down to quit day instead of sitting at zero
• Premium can be shared: a supporter can cover the person they're backing
