### 4/5 — Cool Idea

*2025-03-18*

Another well designed app by a creative dev. The main problem with the app is that it doesn’t account for all carbs, when our bodies turn all carbs into sugar. So, when you have rice, corn, pasta, pizza, crackers, sugar free yogurt, chips, ketchup, and on and on and on… it ALL counts towards your sugar intake. It’s great to track/reduce sweets and sugar heavy foods, but that by itself is a very incomplete view of one’s daily sugar intake. Promoting good health is a wonderful goal, and I applaud the dev for creating tools to that end. DYOR.

**Developer response:** Hey 👋. What you list is in the app!
But let's back up. I appreciate your passion and that you take the time to write reviews, but the app is meant precisely for what you say it is great at: track/reduce sweets and sugar heavy foods. 😅

The brain you use to DYOR needs sugar. You can’t remove all sugar intake from your diet.
And I am not here to tell anyone how much sugar they need to remove from their life.
It is healthy to allow yourself -some- leeway anyway. Diets that are too strict are proven to be unsustainable on the long term and lead to relapses.

I assume that my users are intelligent and capable. This app is for the ones who figured out (on their own or by consulting) what a reasonable amount of sugar is for them and want to stick to it.

It's incorrect to say that you can’t track “rice, corn, pasta, pizza, crackers, sugar free yogurt, chips, ketchup”.
First, if you look at the food that you can log in the app (Add a meal, tap + Food), you’ll find all of them. Granted, it’s under condiment for ketchup and a generic dairy for yogurt, but people generally know what they put behind them, and you can add notes if needed.

And while “rice, corn, pasta” are categorized as “healthy” choices because they can be part of a healthy meal you can still log corn and flag the meal as “With Excess” if you had too much of it.

I believe it would be more helpful if your review were about how the app helped you track this and that, why you discovered it was maybe false friends, or why you decided not to track other things, or only sometimes (like I don’t track a bit of chocolate in the evening, except if I have more than usual).

Please extend the same courtesy I do to all my users and assume that people arrive here because they did their own research, or that tracking sugar will lead them to it. Often, that’s all it takes. Just getting started somewhere, however misguided you may be at first. My apps are here to help you change course, not to tell you where to go.

Kind regards,

Arnaud

### 5/5 — Coin Being Rigged is Funny

*2025-08-26*

I love how the coin is rigged !! It always goes on no meat/ no treat today Your apps are funny. I’m also sugar detox lover.

**Developer response:** Haha, that’s because it takes your goal and history into account! But you can disable that and get a 50/50 draw if you dare 😁
Thanks for your review, glad you’re enjoying my apps ☺️
Arnaud
