### 2/5 — Update please

*2020-12-31*

This app is a solid 2-star app.

The two things it needs are edit and search, which would make it less meh and more functional.

### 3/5 — No iOS Sync with Mac

*2020-09-19*

Can’t even open shared note from iCloud.
What else can you say? Not worth the hassle. Look for substitutes.

### 2/5 — Best notes app on Mac, useless on iOS

*2020-03-28, version 1.0.1*

I am a big fan of Quiver on Mac, it makes complex note taking and organising a breeze. I was very excited to find the app for iOS, only to find that it is completely useless.

### 2/5 — Add iCloud support

*2019-10-27*

I love the desktop app, but desperately need an iCloud support for the mobile app to be useful and in turn for me using the desktop long term.

### 1/5 — What’s the point

*2019-09-15, version 1.0.1*

Of a note-taking app that cant take notes? Just delay the release of the IOS version until it’s actually useful.

No iCloud support and no ability to add or edit notes makes this app totally useless in my view.

### 1/5 — I can’t use this

*2019-09-09, version 1.0.1*

I need iCloud Drive access

### 3/5 — iCloud support

*2019-08-29, version 1.0.1*

Great app on desktop. However mobile version doesn’t support iCloud, so I cannot really sync my notes. Please add iCloud support.

### 1/5 — PLEASE google drive and icloud functionality

*2019-08-29, version 1.0.1*

I LOVE the Quiver desktop app and it’s changed how I code and take notes. I want a mobile version so badly! But unfortunately I can’t rate the mobile app as anything other than 1 star because I can’t use it. There needs to be integration with notes stored in iCloud and Google Drive. I also don’t understand why there isn’t editing capability in the mobile app. I’m hoping that the developers are working on the mobile app because this app, when working well, would make so many people (including me) so happy!

### 1/5 — Needs Work Before Useable

*2019-08-14*

What’s weird is that the Quiver for Mac app is wonderfully done and I enjoy using it daily. This, however, is complete unfinished junk. Do you use Google Drive to sync your notes? You cannot use this app unless you use Dropbox or WebDAV. I didn’t even get to use the “companion” app because it forces you to use Dropbox. I’m not making a Dropbox account to sync a single library. The last update to this app was 11 months ago. I paid $9.99 for Quiver on Mac. Your Dropbox login authentication already has ‘sign in with Google’ as an option so your app already uses Google’s auth. It’s time to go back to Upwork and get someone to add a couple features to your app and maybe release an update for the first time in a year. Come on. Take this off the App Store if you aren’t going to treat it like a product your company cares about.

### 1/5 — No iCloud support

*2019-07-29, version 1.0.1*

Was gonna make everyone in my coding cohort use this note taking app for the Mac but there is no iCloud support or easy share system between the Mac or and this app. Shame as it is the only thing keeping this behind from Evernote or bear.

### 1/5 — Needs iCloud sync and ability to write

*2019-06-26*

Love the desktop app but can't use iPhone app at all as-is without iCloud sync. And ability to write on phone instead of just read is a close second. Will update to 5 stars once I can!

### 1/5 — Let down by the most basic options

*2019-05-27, version 1.0.1*

As others mentioned, there is no iCloud sync. There's also no option to just start a local, on device folder. This means that the app is completely useless to me, despite the Mac app being excellent and my go-to every day at work. Very disappointing.

### 3/5 — 5 star app but no iCloud sync

*2019-05-24, version 1.0.1*

This is potentially the best app available on the Mac for taking notes in variety of formats. It is a shame that the developer hasn’t put much effort to the iOS app, people who use the Mac client always want to use the same notes in other devices but cannot be done because of sync support is not there.

Please implement tree structure for exploring notes similar to desktop app and iCloud syncing.

### 2/5 — Support iCloud!!

*2019-05-03, version 1.0.1*

R.T.

### 1/5 — No iCloud sync

*2019-04-23, version 1.0.1*

This is the best note taking app I used for taking software notes. But it’s very frustrating that iCloud sync is still not supported.

### 2/5 — Half baked

*2019-04-09, version 1.0.1*

Half baked! I really like the Mac app, but the iOS version is just missing to many features. Doesnt even deal with nested folders correctly. Sync is painful. No options to use themes like on a Mac.

### 2/5 — Pretty muchmch useless

*2019-03-03*

The inability to correctly sync notes/updates makes this iOS app pretty much pointless. I understand a little more why not editing notes is restricted on here, but if this is supposed to be read only and I can't even read the updated versions of my notes, why make this in the first place? If it's one or just a few people working on this, I can see how there wouldn't be much time to implement "new" things. but that again brings up the point, why make this if it won't be fully functional?

### 1/5 — Useless

*2019-02-19*

Sorry but this is useless. I was hoping to avoid carrying my laptop to my many meetings. I’d pay for an app to edit. For now I am deleting this.

### 1/5 — Add iPad pro 11 inch support

*2019-01-13, version 1.0.1*

Add iPad pro 11 inch support

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Crashes on launch

*2024-09-28*

Not much else to say. The app immediately crashes when launched and cannot be used at all. As of this writing, it hasn’t seen an update in six years.

### 1/5 — 100% useless ❌❌❌

*2023-09-26, version 1.0.1*

Even DropBox support is not working, wth?

### 1/5 — Finish the App

*2022-03-11, version 1.0.1*

Need iCloud support

### 1/5 — Broken and abandoned

*2021-07-21, version 1.0.1*

WebDAV broken, core features (on macOS version) missing. Dev does not respond to queries - suggest avoid

### 1/5 — iCloud Sync Foolishness

*2020-11-26*

Why would I be able to sync to iCloud in the OSX app but not able to read that sync in the iOS app? This is complete laziness on the developer side, just add loading the quiver library from iCloud already.

### 1/5 — Useless.

*2020-07-27*

Can’t create new files, or edit existing ones. I guess will stick to other apps. Removing from both the computer and the phone

### 1/5 — From a Mac quiver user, this app is garbage

*2020-05-22*

The sync options are so limited that this app is pretty worthless. This app is so bad, that I am rethinking my continued use/support of the OS X version of Quiver.

### 1/5 — Not much use if you cant sync

*2020-01-14*

$10 for an osx app that can’t sync to this iOS app using icloud.
How can you have an apple based product that cant sync across devices using icloud?
Pretty much useless. Why would I waste my time entering all the notes on my mac if i cant use them here in the iOS app?

### 1/5 — Desktop app so good, this isn’t.

*2019-10-02*

Why do this when desktop app is so good. I would fully convert to quiver if they did some updates and made it so you could edit on iPad / iPhone. Considering last update was year ago I doubt it will happen.

### 1/5 — Useless

*2019-09-24*

The Mac app is great for coding notes but this app is an absolute waste of time. I hope they fix it. This is USELESS

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Great

*2019-06-30, version 1.0.1*

I was switching between different apps to take notes on my mac until I found this app. It’s totally worth the money for programmers.

### 5/5 — Support iCloud!

*2018-11-18*

I’m storing my file on iCloud, but can’t read it on the app. I can only read Dropbox or WebDAV, I use neither.

### 5/5 — Great app

*2018-11-08, version 1.0.1*

I don’t care for editing support on the mobile app. I’m not interested in editing all my code and data from a tiny touch screen. This app is perfectly for quickly referencing code when I’m away from my Mac. Thanks!

### 5/5 — Great!

*2018-08-30*

My only suggestion is iCloud support !!

### 5/5 — Thanks so much!

*2017-08-14, version 1.0*

How I have wanted this...even read only. Fantastic, thank you!

### 5/5 — Great start

*2017-07-13, version 1.0*

I love Quiver on the mac, and this is a great start for an iOS companion! Hoping that the functionality to create and edit notes on iOS comes soon so that I can move away from Evernote, which I find cumbersome in comparison

### 5/5 — Markdown 🎉💕⚡️S⚡️U⚡️P⚡️E⚡️R⚡️!🐬💦🤓 powers

*2017-06-20, version 1.0*

To me it's the best app on the Mac for a powerful and yet flexible notebook.
I hope to have the editing facilities on iOS soon.
Congrats for your achievement.

### 5/5 — Fantastic Notebook

*2017-06-20, version 1.0*

Quiver is my favorite notes app and now it's officially on iOS! Congratulations, looking forward to enjoying Quiver for a long time to come!

### 5/5 — Perfect Reader for Quiver notes

*2017-06-20, version 1.0*

So happy to have this app finally. Great way to take my notes with me and read them on the go. Only thing that could be better is the ability to edit them. Dropbox sync is perfect!

### 4/5 — Very nice!

*2018-12-27*

I love it, but it would be so much more useful if you added editing and syncing to WebDAV abilities on mobile!
