## What is Quiz Me Dude?

Trivia for everyone on any interest.

Quiz Me Dude is 139 question trivia packs (and counting), four ways to play, and a buzzer you make your own. Every question comes in two versions — one pitched for kids, one for adults — so a nine-year-old and their grandad can play the same round and both get a fair question. That's almost 70,000 question pairs, and 140,000 questions in total.

FOUR WAYS TO PLAY

Pass and Play — one phone round the table, 2 to 8 players, turn by turn.

Solo Play — pick your length and your tier, race the clock.

Quiz Master — one person runs the show and judges the buzzers, either in the room or hosting from their own phone.

Multiplayer — everyone plays from their own phone. Buzz in first, or all answer at once.

YOUR OWN BUZZER

Build a buzzer people recognise across the table. Thirty colours in four finishes — Gloss, Clear, Matte and Neon — and 39 sounds. It saves to your profile and follows you into every game, on your phone, in a browser, or on your wrist. It's the thing everyone slams when they think they've got it.

Then there are the 68 themed buzzers to earn. Every finish gives you its first one free, so there's something to use from the very first game, and the rest are earned by answering correctly.

ALSO ON APPLE WATCH

Quiz Me Dude Buzzer is a separate free download that turns an Apple Watch into a real buzzer. It works on its own — no phone required — so someone with a Watch and no phone of their own can sit down and play on equal terms. Sign in, enter the room code, buzz, then swipe A/B/C/D and tap to lock in an answer. Your buzzer's colour, finish and sound come with you.

139 PACKS

Five packs are free from the start. Add whatever you actually care about:

Sports — soccer, basketball, American football, ice hockey, baseball, cricket, rugby, skateboarding and The Games

Screen and film — horror, comedy, drama, action, sci-fi, sitcoms, reality TV, and three separate eras of kids' TV

Music — thirteen genres and eight decades, from the 50s through the 2020s

History — Rome, Greece, Egypt, Norse, ancient China and Japan, plus African, European, American and Asian history

Science — the human body, animals, dinosaurs, space, microbes, biology, inventions and Planet Earth

School — every grade from 1st through 12th

Fandom — comics, anime, gaming, tabletop, fantasy, and a long list of specific universes

Plus food and drink, language, folklore, internet culture, true crime, fashion, brands and more.

AWARDS WORTH CHASING

Every pack has its own trophy — The Sommelier, Player One, Hall of Famer, The Pharaoh — earned at 500 correct answers in that pack. Wrong answers cost you nothing but time. Streak trophies run from 25 correct in a row all the way up to 1,000. The whole set is visible from the start, silhouetted until you win it, so you can see what's out there.

STRAIGHTFORWARD

Buy a pack once and it's yours. No subscription, no energy timers, no ads between questions. Themed bundles group packs together, and The Complete Collection covers all 100 core decks in one go.

## Version history (last 2 releases)

### 2.0 — 2026-09-24

This is a bug-fix update to 1.0. No new features, no changes to
in-app purchases, account handling, privacy, or permissions.

Fixes in this build:
1. Buzzer audio was inaudible on device. The app never configured
its audio session, so iOS applied the default category, which
the Ring/Silent switch mutes. It now sets playsInSilentMode.
Background audio remains disabled (per 2.5.4).
2. Buzzer artwork failed to display and loaded slowly. Image
assets were oversized and have been reduced.
3. Matte and Neon buzzer finishes rendered incorrectly on iOS.
4. Horizontal swipes on the deck picker triggered the back
   gesture instead of changing decks.
5. The sign-in screen could not scroll above the keyboard.
6. Removed a misleading back control from the multiplayer
   waiting screen.

### 1.0 — 2026-09-21
