It actually makes me earn my screen time, to the point that it’s reduced my overall screen time. Unfortunately, I’m actually getting off my phone now. Rude. (Hence the 4 stars) **Developer response:** This is genuinely the best review we could have asked for. Working too well is exactly the point, sorry for the inconvenience of getting off your phone! -Eli ### 5/5 — Very Impressed! *2026-08-14* I’m a young adult in college and full time employee, finding time to focus on studying is always a challenge. Since I’ve had QuizLok, I’ve had time set aside to study every day without even trying. Even with how specific and unpopular my major is, QuizLok does an amazing job at quizzing me in my field. It’s extremely easy for me to open up social media or YouTube, and now it’s just as simple for me to get a few minutes of practice in! Seriously impressed with the app. It is a huge step forward in the way we educate ourselves! **Developer response:** Thank you. 'A huge step forward in the way we educate ourselves' is exactly what I set out to build. Really appreciate you taking the time to write a review! - Thanks ### 5/5 — Awesome App *2026-08-11* Installed this on my child’s phone and it’s the best thing ever. 10/10 recommend this to anyone, especially parents. **Developer response:** Glad to hear you like it! -Eli ### 5/5 — Works as advertised!! *2026-08-11* App was exactly as advertised and I loved it. Plenty of questions and I had no issues while using the app. Highly recommend!!! **Developer response:** Glad it works for you! ### 5/5 — Fantastic! *2026-08-10* Quizlok is a fantastic app to help focus yourself, limit wasted time on social media, and learn new things. It has been very helpful to review medical boards and strengthen quiz night potpourri. **Developer response:** Medical boards and quiz night, now that's versatile! Love hearing it's helping with both. Thanks for the review! - Eli ### 5/5 — Amazing App! *2026-08-08* As someone who spends way too much time on my phone between work tasks, the app has been surprisingly effective. It makes me think twice about opening apps I blocked because I don’t want to take the quiz. Honestly that’s probably the point. **Developer response:** Honestly that's probably the point' you nailed it. The friction doing the work so you don't have to. Thanks - Eli ### 5/5 — Useful and productive *2026-08-08* As a chemical engineering student and intern, this app helped me stay off of my phone during work and when I wanted to access something I had to apply my knowledge to get in. All of the quizzes were relevant to the prompts and when there was one I didn’t know the answer to, it was a great learning experience. Overall, I would recommend this app to any professional or student because of its versatility in school and the workplace. The best part is, less doom scrolling and more learning! **Developer response:** Less doom scrolling and more learning' is the perfect way to put it. Really appreciate the detailed review! - Eli ### 5/5 — Simple system, real results *2026-08-07* As a mechanical engineer I’m always looking for systems that actually work. It does exactly what it says, blocks your apps until you pass a quiz. Simple concept, solid execution. It’s changed how I reach for my phone throughout the day. **Developer response:** Simple concept, solid execution, that's exactly what I was going for. Thanks for putting it so clearly. - Eli ### 5/5 — One that actually works! *2026-08-05* I’ve been using QuizLok for a few days and it's actually working. I blocked a few apps and the quiz requirement adds just enough friction that half the time I just don't bother opening them anymore. When I do take the quiz it's quick, and the questions match my topic. Simple concept, works as advertised. **Developer response:** This is exactly what QuizLok is designed to do, glad the friction is working in your favor. More improvements on the way. - Eli ### 5/5 — Very good app *2026-08-05* It functions exactly as it says, locks apps until they are unlocked by successfully completing the quiz. Relocks after the custom timer expires and keeps track of total time unlocked. As a bonus it provides an easy way to refresh your memory on topics that you used to know but have forgotten. **Developer response:** Glad you like it! More great things coming. - Eli --- *Data collected daily from the US App Store and indexed by [AppsHunter](https://appshunter.io/). User reviews are verbatim App Store reviews.
