Djfx looper isn’t like the real thing and not very effective. Effects activate on button release when it should be on press. Won’t be buying. Wish it had been what I hoped for **Developer response:** Update: QuotaFX 1.2.4 was developed directly from this feedback. Every eligible individual performance switch now includes TGL and MOM modes. Both respond on press; MOM remains active only while held and switches off on release. DJFX Looper was retuned through direct comparison with recordings from a real SP-404MKII, giving Loop Length movements a much closer elastic, rubber-band and sputtering response. Touch controls and favorite-pad response were also tightened. Existing pre-1.2.4 trial installations receive a fresh seven-day evaluation window so the revised build can be tested at no cost. Rare Data is an independent, one-person developer, and every support email is read personally. Specific feedback can—and in this case did—become a shipped improvement very quickly. Quota FX is not intended as a one-to-one replacement for the SP-404MKII, and DJFX Looper is one of 44 performance effects included in the app. We continually tune and improve it based on user feedback. The 16 performance pads support three activation modes: Select Only, Toggle On/Off, and Momentary (Hold). In Momentary mode, an effect engages when the pad is pressed and disengages when released. Tap the PADS mode control to select the behavior that fits your workflow. A laggy interface is not expected. TGL changes state the instant you press. MOM stays active only while held and switches off when you lift—ideal for live loops, stutters, freezes, throws, and drops. • Quick taps, Favorite pads, and control moves now reach the active effect immediately, making the interface feel tighter and more responsive. • DJFX Looper has been extensively retuned. Loop Length now has a curved, pitch-coupled rubber-band response with a livelier ratchet and sputter, plus cleaner transitions and fewer hard digital clicks. • Bit Crusher Drive has been reduced and remapped for a much more usable range, while the top end still gets deliberately aggressive. • The standalone app and AUv3 now share seven-day trial and unlock status on the same device. Fixed a trial that could read as expired when it should not have, and one that quietly reset when your network setup changed. The scope fills the phone. The layout used to run out of width first, leaving about a quarter of the screen as empty bars above and below it. That height goes to the scope instead. MAP shows the six CTRLs you can actually map, instead of sixteen. The MIDI learn line no longer draws through the buttons under the knobs.
