However I have noticed recently that when I select a recitation range eg play page 60 5 times, when it restarts for the 2nd time it will start again from another place not the beginning of page 60. I rely on this feature quite heavily eg when memorising so please could I ask the developer to look into it! This is a regression I have noticed this month only. I want to mention what I have come across listening to the Quran recitation. After sora “ حمد”, listening to the recitation, on many words/alphabets da sign (‌ّ—ً ) is missing where it is used in reciting and this has caused a lot of confusion for me; after listening to the app recitation I have stopped reading the Quran myself because of worrying to read it wrong. I would appreciate to know why all the signs (ّ—ً ) are not written so that people like myself can read the Quran too. I am talking about all the signs that can be seen on a hard copy of the Quran. Have a wonderful day. ### 1/5 — Review *2020-05-11* This is an extremely poor and extremely offensive translation of the Quran. I consulted an Islamic scholar about Surah 4:34. The Imam told me that this was one of the most misinterpreted / mistranslated verses. This specific Arabic word for strike meant to touch with no more than that of a feather. This translation makes it sound as though it is permissible to physically harm one’s wife. This translation also uses the word, “niggardly,” which is extremely offensive and completely unnecessary. There are many other words that better express the meaning of the Arabic word than choosing a word that is phonetically similar to such a hateful and hurtful expression. **Developer response:** سلام Thank you for your feedback. We obviously want to improve the app and do not deny it can be improved. So why not helping us by listing its issues in its translations so we could gradually make the changes? Like in surat Abasa its a shame that a shia tafseer refers to the Prophet SAWW frowning (والعياذ بالله) as the “most famous commentry among the scholars” where it’s their scholars who attribute such heinous accusations on our pure prophet saww. Please fix this and place our Ahluyl beit tafeer first, we do not need to make everyone happy, this is a Ahluyl beit Quran tafseer and nothing else. Also, It would be great if a Tajeed setting for the ayat was added (colors), please do consider.
