Instead of the delete data button I'd like to have a new search button (or a new search tab being opened when I launch the app) and search results should open in a preview panel like in the G. app that then becomes a tab after the user interacts with it. Search results are ok to good and presented nicely from a visual / clarity perspective ### 5/5 — Reminds me of how search engines used to be before censorship and AI *2026-01-26, version 6.9.0* Very good search engines it is one of the best when it comes to searching for random topics and getting a variety of results but only one thing I want and that is the multiple page sources when I scroll to the bottom like section 1,2,3,4 and etc and not just 1 section. When safari tells you fluroide is healthy, qwant tells you tge truth thatits rat poison... well kidding but 😆 you know. Wait a second, i just remembered why i keep deleting qwant and its because theres a g7 style "are you a robot? Complete this puzzle." Page that pops up everytime i research anything. Someone told me not to click those because they are for spying And its a robot going theough your traffic history and stuff 😂 so i usually wont do them. (Note: They were almost fined for the “pseudonymous” thing but haven’t changed since French government owns about 20% stake) The keywords are then retained for 12 months for aggregated statistical analysis purposes. Again only pseudonymous. Qwant can transfer the following pseudonymized data to Microsoft: Search keywords, browser information, full IP address (they use works like “may” and “possible” of course), then salted hash generated from your IP address, User Agent, and a salt changing at least every 3 months. This app already allowed too many pop up’s even with my VPN which helps to prevent them. But the one feature I really enjoyed about this app was how easy it was to erase browsing history with the lightning icon. Also, when you click the “App Support” tab, the redirect sends you to an Error Page. Using it feels like search before it went stupid- you look up things, you get actual answers- not hyperbole, AI opinion or forced AI banter/ offers to chat more about it. I'm 50. I use search to ask of a basic query, in hopes of a series of possible matches. As it should be. This feels more organic and useful, less product and sponsored /paid responses and more actual info with links that match, not chosen by who paid more to be ranked.
