### 2/5 — Hmmm… fishy (hehehehaa)

*2025-07-13*

The app looks pretty good.

However, in the apps preview pictures, there is literally a picture of an alligator titled crocodile. Not only this, but just from looking at the pictures in the app preview you can see the time of day and the persons service at the top. Not sure this helps with the rhetoric of the app. Once downloaded it looks decent. But from a standpoint to someone downloading the app, looks kinda janky and not sure how true things really are. For example, there are different colors per sighting but there really isn’t an explanation behind the colors and what they mean beyond a title that can be misinterpreted. For example, “No further action”. What does that mean? That there was a confirmed sighting? Or? Worded poorly.

Feel like it’s weird to have the “Australian Government” tab at the bottom with all of this going on. Noticed all this only from looking at the for less than 10 min.

None the less, I hope I am wrong and that this app is very trustworthy/helpful.

### 1/5 — Can’t accept the terms

*2024-10-21*

Opened the app for the first time and the terms and conditions can’t even be accepted. Useless

### 1/5 — Ineffective at helping koala populations

*2024-03-15*

This app is difficult to navigate and it’s time consuming to enter details every time you see a koala. Uploading photos doesn’t seem to work so you have to take photos with the app open.

iNaturalist is much quicker and easier to use.

We persevered with the app for a long time thinking it would help show where koalas are active to help protect them when it comes to development. However, recently a block of koala inhabited forest near the QEII hospital in Brisbane was cleared by the Queensland Government. They claimed they had done a survey and found no evidence of koalas, despite there being multiple sightings recorded on QWildlife.

This app is simply a marketing tool for the Queensland Government.

Unless big changes are made, I works recommend recording koala sightings on iNaturalist instead.

### 5/5 — Never smile at a crocodile

*2020-12-02*

Easy to use and navigate.
