## Newest reviews (14 of 46)

### 1/5 — Too simple

*2016-08-04, version 9.4*

A simple online version. Can not generate plots and can not install packages either.

**Developer response:** Unfortunately, graphics, network and file system are not supported.

### 1/5 — Not for learning

*2016-05-09, version 7.2*

Basically a book and then tries to charge you to try it on your own

**Developer response:** It's perfect tool for practice and learning R if you buy it!

### 1/5 — Unreliable

*2016-04-28, version 7.2*

"The program executed perfectly"....yet I don't see anything. Why create an app and make people pay for compilations like I did, just so it it can frustrate users with its unreliability. Thanks for taking the time to develop this neat looking app, but it's simply garbage if it doesn't function as it should.

**Developer response:** Please just use text output to print any data by your program.

### 1/5 — Awful documentation

*2016-03-03, version 7.2*

Awful documentation on what R functionality is / is not available in app.

### 1/5 — Why bother?

*2016-02-10, version 7.2*

You may get some reference value for basic R, but they want you to pay per compile/run. I can do that for free with less hassle most any other time: in fact an iPhone is a grossly inconvenient way to do/learn R. Why add to this cost. Try a minimal ad-paid model instead.

**Developer response:** Most of users prefer to pay small amount of money and don't see any ads.

### 1/5 — Not free

*2015-10-03, version 7.2*

You have to buy "compilers". Not a free app

### 1/5 — Bad app

*2015-08-20, version 7.2*

Runs program and then nothing happens. I can't figure out how to export anything real...

**Developer response:** Please just output any data to print results from your program on the screen.

### 1/5 — Just don't.

*2015-04-09, version 7.2*

The program is "free" where u don't pay for the program, but you need to buy compilations to run any commands.

**Developer response:** But you can just buy it as use as much as you want!

### 2/5 — What is wrong for Build and Run

*2015-03-28, version 7.2*

I write simple statement like set.seed(1). It returns error all the time, say scan() expect integer. I tried some other simple commands. It seems have bug. I paid $2.99 for online compilation.

### 1/5 — Compiler?

*2014-12-19, version 6.5*

This program worked great last week, but now it doesn't work. I get a comment that says "please update application" when I try to use it. There is no update, and I bought the unlimited version for $2.99.

**Developer response:** You have to update operational system first. Just update both and it will work again!

### 1/5 — Misleading

*2014-09-09, version 6.5*

This is not a free app. Can't do anything without a purchase. Uninstalled.

### 1/5 — Absolute Rubbish

*2014-09-08, version 6.5*

I made a purchase with an absolute rubbish.
You know x<-(1,2,3,4,5)
                 x
So simple R code can Not operated at all with this platform at all.

### 1/5 — Compilations cost

*2014-08-23, version 6.5*

You get zero builds with this version, so it is useless without paying. Unlimited is only $3, but I think this app is misleading.

Even a few compilations are required to evaluate.

**Developer response:** The sample program can be compiled and executed for free.

### 1/5 — Better get an ssh client instead

*2014-07-29, version 2.1*

This is ridiculous; pay per compile or pay to unlock unlimited compiles, which requires an internet connection?

python, ipython, lua, LaTeX and others have been ported to iOS to compile and run natively. R is lagging seriously behind. Sadly, I don't think this is going to be the environment which results in it getting caught up.

**Developer response:** There is only online R compiler. And it's much better than nothing!

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Too few free compilation to evaluate

*2022-03-20*

Sadly, I would appreciate more free compilations to try the app. 1-2 is cheap
Sorry

### 1/5 — Not free

*2018-08-25, version 11.1*

You have to buy “compilations”.

### 1/5 — No graphics

*2018-01-15, version 11.1*

R programmers expect the plot() function to plot graphics. If nothing else in R works, this ought to. But it doesn’t. To be fair, the App Store description says so, but I didn’t read that till afterwards, and never in my wildest dreams did I imagine that graphics would not be supported. I even spent a few bucks on unlimited compilations before discovering this to be the case.

### 1/5 — $3 !! It's not free

*2017-02-16, version 9.4*

The app is misleading, as it is not free.

### 1/5 — Can't work

*2016-12-23*

Insufficient compilations. Please get more on Settings tab.

**Developer response:** Unfortunately, we can't offer free compilations with the application.

### 1/5 — Horrible

*2016-12-20, version 9.4*

Should have read reviews before trying. Do not get. This is a waste of time and not free.

**Developer response:** Please explain your opinion in details, so we could make our application even better!

### 1/5 — Worst of the worst

*2016-11-18, version 9.4*

A piece of junk. No packages after you pay three bucks.

### 1/5 — Don't bother

*2016-10-15, version 9.4*

Dont bother with downloading this misleading app. Free to download Asks for money when you actually want to use it. No Package installation support. This is very opposite to what R community stands for.

**Developer response:** Just pay for it and use the application as much as you want!

### 1/5 — Terrible

*2016-09-26*

Nothing like R on windows or mac. Can only run one command at a time (you actually have to delete the old one to run another one) and needs an internet connection. Slow after you download unlimited. This is the first app I've ever rated, but it was so bad that I needed to tell people.

**Developer response:** Information in the review is false. The application doesn't allow user to execute command one by one. You can only compile and run the whole program. So, there is no issue with it.

### 1/5 — Not really free.

*2016-09-25, version 9.4*

You can download for free but need to pay to actually use it. It's only $3, but still misleading. Charge the money and stop being dishonest.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Great App!

*2014-05-03, version 4.2*

I am writing a compiler that targets many languages and this app is ideal for my purposes. Keep up the good work!

### 5/5 — Good one.

*2012-08-20, version 2.1*

So far so good!

### 3/5 — As stated it doesn't support plot

*2015-10-19, version 7.2*

This is an important omission

### 3/5 — Good but needs some work.

*2015-03-13, version 7.2*

I'm using R Language to tutor a student for Biostatistics, which uses R. Although the support is quick, this iPad version should be improved by a programmer who has professional knowledge of R. Many of the functions are creating errors when they shouldn't. I'm a little disappointed.

### 3/5 — Graphics

*2013-03-14, version 2.1*

Ok, but wondering if there will be graphics support - this is an essential when using R for the usual statistical analyses.

### 3/5 — Does what it says

*2012-09-19, version 2.1*

It runs code in R, but no graphics. Since R is often used primarily for its graphics, this is a huge limitation. I will be watching this app and encourage the creator to add this functionality.

### 2/5 — Good App Support

*2019-07-27*

I finally decided to pay and now keep on getting a weird files open error(Fatal error the limit on the number of open files is too low) ... Good thing is the App support is good and got a response in under 10 minutes

### 2/5 — Refund

*2016-09-17*

Hi

I needed a console based app. I purchased the unlimited one and now it is awfully slow and hard to work with. Please refund me.
Thanks

**Developer response:** You can use text input/output in your programs. Please check your Internet connection if it works too slow. You have to request a refund to properly handle it.

### 2/5 — Very minimal

*2016-09-17*

Allows you to run r script 3 times, and then asks you to pay to continue.

Was not able to see if it even had any packages built in, and the app is not like the command line type of R, it sends the command over the Internet and returns the result. It is not worth the time to install at this point.

**Developer response:** Features of the application are limited. But it's much better than nothing!

### 2/5 — refund

*2016-07-03*

Hi i accidentally purchased the both 100 and unlimited. i only need 100 so can i get a refund on the unlimited one?
also i bought a new phone(samsung) so i wanna use this app on my ipad. Can you move the 100compilations that i bought to ipad? i dont have an iphone anymore
thx

**Developer response:** You can restore unlimited compilations on any Apple mobile device for free. But you can't restore or transfer 100 compilations.
