### 2/5 — So disappointing

*2024-04-16*

I paid $700 for this thing. You would think that in this day and age and at this price point they would offer an automated experience that allows for HomeKit integration or at the very least greater control over the scheduling. I need this thing to start at very specific times and I would like to control it through HomeKit. But no. It really feels like some kind of scam. as if they don't want you to control this thing, minimizing how much it's used so that you will buy more of their unbelievably expensive air filter replacements sooner.

**Developer response:** Hello Raveltherapy, Thank you for the feedback, We are truly sorry that the Rabbit Air app is yet to have compatibility with the many emerging smart home devices such as Google Home and Homekit. Currently, the App can only be connected with Amazon Alexa. We hope to have compatibility in the future. If you can connect to the app it is possible to schedule specific run times for your MinusA2 SPA-780N or A3 unit. This scheduling function will supersede all other run speeds.

### 4/5 — Feature Request

*2024-01-30*

The app seems to work fine. It would be cool if it could display graphs of pollution over time rather than just the current estimated value. This could make it easier to design appropriate schedules.

It’d also be nice if the UI included helper text to explain what the negative ions feature is doing.

**Developer response:** Hello Tortoise Ham, Thank you for the great feedback. These suggestions will be passed on to the developer team. Feel free to reach out with any other suggestions. Kind Regards, Rabbit Air.

### 4/5 — Apps ok

*2024-01-26, version 1.1.18*

It does what expected..great purifier

### 4/5 — Can’t Connect

*2023-10-25*

UPDATE: Our Minus A2 is back online. I have updated the star rating accordingly. Thanks for whatever was done to fix this issue!

Our RabbitAir Minus A2 worked fine until I purchased a new router and set-up a new WiFi network. Every device connected to the new network right away, including two 2.4 GHz devices, but not the RabbitAir. I spoke with technical support and they did some trouble shooting that failed to solve the problem. They blamed the router and told me to call the router manufacturer - but what would the router manufacturer say since every other device I have connects fine? RabbitAir were dismissive and not helpful. I won’t be buying another RabbitAir!

**Developer response:** Hello Concatenation, Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry to hear that your most recent interaction with Rabbit Air was not as helpful as it could be. On occasion, newer routers can have firewalls or potentially block MAC addresses of certain products. We are working hard to ensure the connection of our units is seamless in the future for all routers. Kind Regards Rabbit Air.

### 3/5 — Software needs work

*2022-03-07*

I purchased the Rabbit Air A3, and when I turn up the fan speed manually on the unit, I looked at the fan speed on the Rabbit Air app, and it didn’t move. The A3 was on fan speed 4, but on the Rabbit Air app it shows the fan speed on 1. This Rabbit Air purifier and the app could be so much better. Pay attention to details and your competitors along with current/future technology, especially when asking for a premium price on the current A3. Can’t wait what Rabbit Air comes out next. And it would be nice if Rabbit Air had a recycle plan? Meaning when we purchase a new Rabbit Air to replace our old unit, and if still fairly new we would get some money back towards a new purchase on a Rabbit Air purifier. And please make the air purifier more quiet even when on the max fan speed. Thank you.

**Developer response:** Hello dkodko11, it is not uncommon for the app to have a slight update time when changing fan speeds but it should reflect the change on the app. Could you please contact us at customerservice@rabbitair.com so that we can assist with troubleshooting this problem with you. Kind Regards, Rabbit Air

### 1/5 — Doesn’t Work

*2021-12-07, version 1.1.8*

Connects to my MinusA3, auto fills the serial number, but won’t advance to the next step. Unfortunately that makes the app not function at all, so this app is basically useless.

### 1/5 — Nothing works

*2021-11-09, version 1.1.8*

App does not function! just get it together.

### 1/5 — App won’t connect to wireless feature.

*2021-09-02, version 1.1.8*

This app is not a great one, no way to connect with no clear error messages or try this next. Really disappointed

### 3/5 — Anyone else's go red immediately when connected??

*2021-05-29*

So..the app is meh, kind of whatever. I have more of a set it and forget it approach to air purifiers - except on the rare occasion my husband and I are trying to watch a movie or something. BUT, I've now had three units (one in each of two rooms, and a replacement for one of them) do the same glitchy thing where it will report "blue" or best air quality when it's not connected to the app, then when I get it connected (with nothing else in the environment changing) it's immediately go through the purples to red. I wish I hadn't tried to connect them one last time I just now - they're both stuck on red when they'd been humming along on blue for days... Customer service is somewhat responsive, making you jump through a bunch of hoops to get a swap out, but I'm just not that confident that another one wouldn't just do the same thing. I wish I could just get the price difference for the wifi back because although they appear to filter the air, they just don't work when connected to the app :(

**Developer response:** Hello Krissy310, We are so sorry to hear that your unit is having connection problems and that the error is altering the AQI running functions. Please reach out to us at customerservice@rabbitair.com and we can attempt some troubleshooting options and if the error can not be fixed we can refund you the difference between the WiFi and non-WiFi units as you suggested. Looking forward to your email. Kind Regards, Rabbit Air.

### 1/5 — Awful App

*2021-04-02*

App constantly nags to use Bluetooth EVERY time I open it I have to dismiss a notification asking for it. I don’t want and will never grant you access to my Bluetooth so stop asking! Also, “Schedule” only allows set fan speeds for each hour of the day - it doesn’t allow me to schedule “Auto” for some times and “Low” for others (e.g. while sleeping so the fan doesn’t roar).

**Developer response:** Hello scoobydoo99, We are very sorry to hear that you are having trouble with the app. The Bluetooth notification should not be reminding you every time you log into the app. Our technicians have attempted to recreate this error to no avail. Initially, we would recommend uninstalling the app then repairing it to see if you can wipe this notification error. If this does not work please contact our customer service at customerservice@rabbitair.com. We can investigate the error for you but would need to ask a few more questions, including the current update of your device, when exactly when the notification is popping up, and your log-on information. Please let us know if we can be of further assistance. Kind Regards, Rabbit Air.

### 3/5 — Good overall...needs updated features in Scheduling

*2020-11-26, version 1.1.1*

The app seems to have all the features except the schedule is missing Pollen and Auto mode. If the developers can add these 2 modes to the schedule them I believe this application would be excellent!

### 1/5 — App doesn’t work

*2020-11-21, version 1.1.1*

Thinking of sending this back and getting the cheaper one. WiFi app doesn’t work. It won’t connect to my phone, despite having the most updated app. I also found I interesting that they sign you up with a passcode but don’t tell you.

### 2/5 — Terrible WiFi Service

*2020-11-09*

I have 2 units and recently moved. Prior to the move the units were on 2 floors and never an issue. Now that I moved I was able to connect one unit to WiFi but the other (which is closer to the router) will not connect. Whether using password or WPS it constantly says ERROR and forced me to cancel the entire setup process. Pretty disappointing.

**Developer response:** Hello lamjimbob, Thank you for the feedback, We are very sorry to hear that you were not able to get the app working again on your unit. We would love a chance to help as there could be a solution that allows you to connect your unit to your WiFi again. Please give us a call at 888-866-8862. Have a wonderful day! Kind regards, Rabbit Air

### 1/5 — Three RabbitAir MinusA2 Ultra Quiet SPA-780N WiFi Enabled Air Purifiers

*2020-11-05, version 1.1.1*

I own three of these air purifiers for around 4,000 sq ft home with three kids and two German shepherds. They’re great air filters...BUT I *do* have some feedback that may help others when deciding on how to interact with these machines and how to change the filters.

1. THESE ARE LIKE A SINGLE-USE WIFI.

Once you add them to your WiFi, don’t change your WiFi SSID or password. Ever. It won’t add to a second WiFi or let you change the WiFi password. We found this out the hard way. We can’t add any of our three MinusA2 purifiers to our WiFi after changing out our routers. Being in the cloud security industry, this is a dealbreaker on the WiFi function for us. Three manually-controlled air purifiers it is!!

HINT: KEEP THE REMOTES, YOU WILL NEED THEM LATER.

2. CHANGING THE FILTERS. I recommend taking pictures as you remove each filter to remember how it goes in.

When you change the filters on these units, you will need to re-use three pieces.

First piece: there is a plastic pre-filter in the front. KEEP THIS AND REUSE IT OR YOUR UNIT WON’T WORK RIGHT. Vacuum it out and/or rinse it off and dry it all the way first.

Second piece: it’s the one with white fluff: remove white fluff from plastic shell and keep the shell, put new white fluff inside and replace as it was OR YOUR UNIT WON’T WORK RIGHT.

Third piece: it’s the one after the accordian-looking filter. It’s called your speciality filter and can be black or yellow with purple on one side. Remove the filter from the plastic shell and use the shell for your your new speciality filter OR YOUR UNIT WON’T WORK RIGHT.

I hope this helps a few of you, they’re really good air purifiers but with poorly designed WiFi and filter instructions.

### 1/5 — Bugs and wifi and app do not work

*2020-10-23*

Replace filter light came on so ordered new ones and replaced. Light still on. Called tech support and was told there is a software bug and had to connect unit to wifi and update. Downloaded app, went through multiple cumbersome steps, got solid green wifi light but app can get past this point, get “no app” error. Have tried many fixes with tech support and no luck. They are willing to send a replacement unit but i am not confident i wont have the same issues all over again. Is it the unit (which they admit has at least one bug), the app, or both? This whole process has been a time consuming pain.

I would not waste time or money paying for the wifi unit. Does not work.

If they are going to offer units that have internet connectivity, the should have a LAN cable jack with a control panel on the unit in addition to wifi through ad app so you can hard wire and avoid these issues (like all printers have)

**Developer response:** Hello swin55, Thank you for the feedback. We are very sorry that your unit was having trouble connecting and that you spent quite some time working on the problem. Individual units do have trouble connecting with WiFi occasionally which is why we suggested the replacement. We would love to have the opportunity to make this up to you! Please call our customer service line at 888-866-8862. Have a wonderful day! Kind regards, Rabbit Air

### 1/5 — Wifi option doesn’t work with Eero

*2020-10-16*

We have been using Rabbit Air purifier for more than a year. Purifier itself is excellent. It does what it claims to do. However, ever since we replaced our old router to Eero, Rabbit air wifi doesn’t connect to it. We tried several approaches such as rebooting the router and retry connecting but none of them works. It’s very frustrating to know that I cannot use wifi function even though the purifier has a feature. Definitely need some solution here.

**Developer response:** Hello Critic of the Critics, Thank you for the feedback. We are very sorry to hear that you were not able to get the app working. We would love a chance to help. Please call our customer service line at 888-866-8862. Have a wonderful day! Kind regards, Rabbit Air

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Machine good, app useless

*2025-03-15, version 1.1.19*

The machine seems to work fine. Unfortunately, as others have posted, the app is worthless because it can’t maintain a connection to the machine. You can still control the machine manually, but they should probably lower the price if it just doesn’t do something that it claims to do.

### 1/5 — Can’t Connect

*2023-10-19*

### 1/5 — App update crashed my ability to log in

*2023-10-10, version 1.1.17*

New update has taken a functional app to the state of none functionality. I can no longer log in or do anything to control my purifier. I’m was considering buying a new rabbit air purifier…this however has sealed the deal on me looking else where. Shame!

### 1/5 — Keeps on disconnecting from Wifi

*2023-09-11*

I had the A2 unit for almost a year with no problems. When all of a sudden I got kicked off of Wi-Fi. Now every time I try to connect, it connects no problem but then when I go to use the app later it is off-line I contacted RabbitAir and spoke to them numerous times, with all of the troubleshooting, the same thing keeps happening.I am truly getting no help from them. This unit is very expensive and I should not be having these problems. very frustrating.

**Developer response:** Hello Leia, we are sorry to hear that you are still having connection issues even when contacting Rabbit Air directly for troubleshooting advice. The best course of action would be to contact Rabbit Air directly one more time to proceed with warranty if possible. We stand by our products and would not want you to have a unit that is having connection issues. Kind Regards, Rabbit Air.

### 1/5 — Not worth the cost of the Wi-Fi module

*2023-01-13, version 1.11.13*

The app doesn’t work properly. It doesn’t adjust fan speed or turn off lights. It only seems to want to turn on and off. If I had realized it came with a remote I wouldn’t have paid the extra money to get the Wi-Fi enabled rabbit.

### 1/5 — Won't connect to 2.5g Wifi

*2022-10-07, version 1.1.9*

Can't find SSID

### 1/5 — Wat???

*2022-08-10, version 1.1.8*

This app doesn’t work. I was able to get the app to recognize my A3 once but it always said it was offline and the controls did nothing. I uninstalled and tried to re-add my A3 but now it wont even recognize there’s an A3. Best to ignore that this purifier even has an app/wireless connection.

### 1/5 — 1 year later, still not able to connect to the Wi-Fi

*2022-05-26*

My MinusA2 used to be able to connect to the Wi-Fi, but not anymore. I have exchanged countless emails with the support last year, exchanged the unit multiple times – no luck.

I decided to give it a go today, thinking they would have solved the issue. Still not.

I was planning on buying more units but won’t because of this issue.

**Developer response:** Hello Sylvain Kalache_, we are so sorry that you continued to experience Wi-Fi connection issues after multiple exchanged units. Every replacement unit connected successfully to our 2.4 GHz network when tested prior to shipment. We apologize again for any inconvenience this process has caused and are available if you have any additional questions. Kind Regards, Rabbit Air.

### 1/5 — Trash app

*2022-01-15, version 1.1.8*

It worked great for a while. Suddenly it’s offline and can’t connect. Removing and reconnecting the unit always errors out. Useless now, just leave the unit on auto and call it a day.

### 1/5 — Worthless

*2021-12-18, version 1.1.8*

Unless I am completely missing something, this app is only applicable if you have a WiFi unit, otherwise it does nothing for you.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Works as expected

*2025-01-12*

My first rabbit air and had no issues connecting to the device. The instructions were straightforward and very easy to navigate. Operating and monitoring the device via the app is simple and easy to use. Wasn’t quite sure what the dots meant on each index line in the air quality section and but figured it out searching the web. Maybe that’s my only comment to inform the user what those dots mean.

**Developer response:** Hello FrustratedBostonUser123, Thank you for the feedback. We are glad that you were able to connect without issue and are finding the app easy to navigate! We offer 24/7 customer service with phone, email and the chat function on rabbitair.com. Feel free to reach out if you ever have any questions about your unit or functions on the app that may not be easily available to find. Thanks again. Kind Regards, Rabbit Air

### 5/5 — It works EXACTLY as expected…PERFECT!!!

*2023-08-13*

Hello everyone. I installed the app and went through the step by step instructions to setup the air purifier, wireless, etc.. It was a no-brainer and worked exactly as expected. Maybe all the bugs have now been corrected. I encountered ZERO issues. 10 stars. Just letting everyone know that I setup a minusA2 and NOT an A3.

**Developer response:** Hello G333E, Thank you for the wonderful feedback! We are so happy to hear that the app is working exactly as intended. If you ever experience any issues in the future please reach out to us at customerservice@rabbitair.com. Kind Regards, Rabbit Air.

### 5/5 — Outstanding Performance

*2023-05-04, version 1.11.13*

I’m Extremely happy with my purchase of the Minus A3, I love this app. It’s really easy to use, and intuitive. I just wish it was a little more detailed like the Dyson app. (Where I would know the amount of gasses in the air, CO2…) there are no graphs, no none of that here. But, you have a very good quality product, in my opinion a Rolls Royce of Filters, with the GUI of a VW. But nonetheless I’m one happy customer 👌

### 5/5 — Works great

*2021-11-19, version 1.1.8*

The app works great. Just got my A3 and seamless setup. App is a little generic but does what is advertised

### 5/5 — Very Cool

*2020-03-19*

I wrote an earlier review giving a lower grade and I will say I jumped the gun....after calling Rabbit Air, the awesome customer service rep walked me right through the install process and it was breeze.

I’ve been messing with the controls and I really like the flexibility....

Again, thanks Rabbit Air for having such good customer service team in place !!!

**Developer response:** Hello Eyesell, Thank you for your excellent feedback! We're so glad to hear that our customer service team was able to assist you with setting up your air purifier. We hope you continue to enjoy clean air! Have a wonderful day! Kind regards, Rabbit Air

### 5/5 — Rayliu0124

*2019-01-07, version 1.0.5*

Great app easy to setup

### 5/5 — Does it’s job!

*2018-09-07, version 1.0.3*

Works very fast, it needs an iPhone X update to fit full screen, but the app in general is flawless
Great job!

### 5/5 — Works well

*2018-09-06, version 1.0.3*

App works well, no problems so far. Simple and straightforward.

### 5/5 — App works great

*2018-04-22*

Just follow the directions to get your Rabbit Air connected to your WiFi. You can then - turn off ALL lights, and pretty much do anything else you would need to do. You can schedule fan speed at certain times of the day as well. App works great (had to restart app once as it appeared to lose connection... same thing can happen with the NEST app... no biggie) I’m impressed with how well the app does work. The Rabbit Air itself (minus a2) is pretty much silent on silent speed. I wanted to use it as a white noise machine at night... it will work great for that if you turn it on high or Turbo mode... it will definitely circulate the air. If you’re used to a fan being on you should be fine - if not you might wake up with a dry mouth.

**Developer response:** Hello AppreviewJMK,

Thank you for your detailed feedback! We are happy to hear that you find the App useful for your needs.

Have a great day!

Kind Regards,

Rabbit Air

### 5/5 — Easy to set up and use

*2018-04-03*

App was easy to set up. It gave specific instructions and they were easy to understand and follow. I had my Rabbit Air set up on my phone in less than 5 minutes. I like that I can check my air filter from bed or work if I want to. 😀

**Developer response:** Hello Michelle,

Thank you for your feedback! We are happy to hear that you are enjoying the Rabbit Air App.

Have a great day!

Kind Regards,

Rabbit Air
