Every corner is a decision. Race Driver is a turn-based motorsport career played from above, where you win with judgement instead of reflexes.

Each turn you commit to three choices: your line through the corner, how hard you lean on the throttle, and whether you defend, hold station, or attack. Then the whole field resolves at once and you live with it. Push the engine and it runs hot. Take the inside every lap and your tyres pay for it. There is no undo, only the next corner.
