Would there be any way to solve this. ### 2/5 — iOS functionality poor *2026-06-08* I suggest you look elsewhere. I got this app and then when I discovered I needed to pay for the ability to view live race results, I thought that was fair and went for the annual subscription. Unfortunately this did not give me the ability to look at my lap times for the event that I was currently attending. It only showed me my most recent lap. It prompted another upgrade. Ok fine- I’ve come this far. But then, it wouldn’t allow the upgrade. I tried it on several different networks and at different times, but it would never allow the upgrade to Plus. Hopefully I can cancel this whole mess. I was in a two day, endurance race, and they capture day one accurately. Day two is nowhere to be seen. ### 2/5 — Get race hero instead for free *2022-06-28* Race monitor has always been bad and I’ve only kept it on my phone for times when the race weekend wasn’t on race hero (rare). Last weekend seemed like one of those so I found the race on race monitor, but had to get a subscription to follow the race I was entered in. Fine. $0.99 for one month then I’ll cancel. Well, if you want to see your individual lap times you need to pay another $4. I’m in too deep and out lap timer was broke, this looked like it. Fine. Well 30 mins later the race popped up on race hero. For free. And it charts lap times. Has better sorting by class. Tells you who’s in the pits and who might be out of the race because they’ve pitted so long. And gives you track communication like black flags by car number. Oh, and it’s just more attractive and easier to read. And free. If race monitor wants to have a chance they need to check out race hero and get with the program. I want my $5 back. And you, save your money and hassle and get race hero. ### 2/5 — It is what it is *2022-05-30* The platform performs poorly. The logical steps are not so logical and the back button is missing a few windows so you have to press q thousand buttons just to get to one screen. I’d pay double for a platform that actually works. Get rid of the 1 dollar version that does nothing please. ### 4/5 — GREAT customer service *2022-04-27* I had issues viewing individual driver’s details. After reading some reviews it had me nervous that it maybe a glitch and wasn’t showing my paid upgrade. I did the “contact us” through the app and with a few days heard back and the issue was resolved (user error). Extremely wonderful customer service and almost immediate replies. Gave 4 stars because it’s a little hard to learn how to maneuver through the app but again … more than likely the user. 😆 ### 2/5 — Upgrade? *2022-04-15* I have this App on my iPhone X and want to upgrade to the plus version to utilize the added features. The problem is I can’t find any way to accomplish this within the App itself or through the App Store. **Developer response:** The Plus upgrade screen can be accessed by tapping on a racer in live timing or results, or from the orange banner in the lower-right-corner of the directory. Purchased an annual subscription 3 times this year? Sure, go ahead and “restore” it once more. It won’t work. ### 2/5 — Outdated *2020-09-06* Used be a good app when no other was available. Seems now you can’t find results easily, no schedule shows up. The other popular app seems to be a much better choice. Today at Hallett the data was erratic at best. Laps not being counted, unable to view an entire session, if I had 10 laps, it only showed 2???? Very frustrating. As far as I know I pay for RM, it hadn’t free in the past? Ok no problem im happy to support developers for their work if its for something useful. After the upgrade i could only see one laptime. So i had to upgrade for 3.99 to see individual times. Ok a bit steep but i guess i have no choice. It worked for a bit but then if i closed the app all the previous LapTimes were gone! (Or when it crashed) It also didn’t record any laptimes while the app was closed. All in all its pretty useless. There is also no way to see laptimes after a event is over. The whole interface was a bit frustrating, if you want to go back from individual laptime to overall team laptimes it spits you out in the main menu where you have to find your event every single time. At a 12hr race last weekend every single driver including me who used this app was extremely unhappy with it. We were 5 drivers and downloaded it on 3 different phones and all had the same issues. RaceHero it so much superior in comparison, every single laptime is recorded and in a database and its very intuitive to navigate. **Developer response:** Your experience doesn't sound typical. Since you mentioned paying for live timing, you must have been viewing a race that was listed in the app's directory, in which case, all of the lap times are stored and served up by our servers on-demand (no need to be continually connected unless you were connecting via IP address). I’m at race now and app doesn’t show race at all. Now have to figure out how to cancel subscription Update. They answered me and stated IMSA Rolex 24 hr race has not been on this app. The only other races I would have used it for would have been HSR ( historic sports car racing). My mistake. **Developer response:** You seem to be confused about the timing for the 24 Hours of Daytona. IMSA has never offered their live timing within Race Monitor. As a result the value had decreased while they have increased subscription costs. I have dropped this service and DO NOT RECOMMEND. I have used it since 2015. Usually I upgrade I think for $4.99 but right now I can’t figure out how to find it except if it pops up. I guess I can wait. But now it’s free so why do we have to renew every year. Mine always renews during Snowball Derby and there is never any cell service. But I am good for this year.
