I obviously dont buy it until correct price shows. Please sort this out. N Mac ### 2/5 — Often does not work for me *2024-07-20* In recent weeks, it has been very difficult to make this app work, and, even when it does, the paper can suddenly disappear. Needs improvement. ### 4/5 — Latest app version still frustrating *2022-01-17* The latest version of this app is eminently inferior to its efficient predecessor. Obviously designed for phones and not ipads, it assumes one wants to read in portrait, not landscape, mode and I have had continuous problems with the menu bar which should make navigation easier but in fact frustrates me daily. The page options offered in the bar most often only consist of "inside front cover" or "inside back cover" which means one has to scroll endlessly to find the required topic or page. The old version of the app enabled one simply to request a page number and go there directly - now you cannot. Racing Post Help say no one else has reported this issue, so why is it happening to me? ### 1/5 — Backward Step *2021-10-27, version 6.0.0* The new “app” is a digital paper, very nice to look at but there’s no links on the contents page to help you navigate quickly. Far worse though is all the dynamic functionality of the old app has disappeared. Much better user experience and access to form and other functionality. Working with the pdf version of the newspaper is not good and not easy to get around or read for that matter. It used to be designed for the iPad. Functional, clear and clean. This is just a digital copy of the paper. Very poor show, I recommend you just go to the newsagents next time you want this. It’s a shame that it’s reverted to being an onscreen version of the paper. It makes it more difficult to read and we lose the interactive elements like odds and being able to get on. I can only assume it was simply too expensive to maintain in its previous format. It’s still good value and it’s good to get it the night before but it feels like a backward step. ### 1/5 — Utterly useless new version *2018-10-15, version 5.0* They’ve scrapped every thing that was good about the original iPad app, saved themselves money in app support and are now peddling what’s essentially a pdf version of the newspaper No form, no stats, no database, no nothing. ### 2/5 — What’s the point of pricewise *2018-09-07, version 4.5* There’s very little point in pricewise any more as bookmakers are not interested in anyone having a chance . ### 2/5 — Frustrating *2018-05-28* An incredibly frustrating app. Great when it works but never keeps you logged in to your tracker, so have to re-enter details even if just flicking to another app for a few seconds. Also fails to restore my subscription most of the time so can’t download edition unless I pay more. End up downloading from the RP newspaper reader app instead which is fine but because it won’t let me download on this app it also won’t let me use the tracker etc without downloading that days edition. Everyone including racing professionals and the media are unhappy with these developments. I shall be cancelling my subscription and instead using ATR website with its considerably enhanced platform, all for free. Many of the tipster are lousy, never declare profit or losses. Who would want to take tips from youngsters, who know nothing of betting or racing?The racing post in print has long had its day, too expensive and the online platform is going the same way. Arrogance, incompetency and ignorance attitudes towards your customers will be your downfall. ### 1/5 — This is a rubbish App. I only want the Football edition. Constantly having to delete app and reload to be able to purchase the edition. Occasions when the app takes your money and still fails to download the paper. Despite constantly advising them of their system failures they are unable to improve matters. Pitiful. Dead simple app to use, no racingpost.com complexities which drive me mad. The free phone app combined with this is as good as rolling news format on .com for our purposes. It is rumoured the RP will terminate it which would be a big mistake. The only important thing missing is replays, but the big stuff is available to RUK subscribers anyway. Database provides almost everything for the basic iPad app sub and we have returned to this as racingpost.com just isn’t up to scratch.
