Overall a really solid effort and concept. I played my first game recently and had a good experience, but the app still hasn’t been able to update it under “my activity” looks like a glitch whenever I try to. That said it’s a great platform with a lot of potential, and I’m glad to be using it. ### 3/5 — Functional but buggy *2025-11-21* Overall, this app has helped me meet people and play tennis. So it does what it is supposed to do! But the app itself runs poorly. Everything loads slowly. There are lots of bugs. I can’t see any of my games for example. It always says there’s an error. They’ve also introduced ads recently which has been annoying but I understand they need to make money. Just a day after downloading, I was already playing a game. I’ve loved table tennis since childhood, and RacketPal has helped me reconnect with the sport and find practice partners, something I struggled with before. I’ve already played three games with lovely people and even have another lined up next week InSha’Allah. It’s not just about finding players, but also making new connections. Sometimes the app takes a little while to load, but overall it’s fantastic. Initially, you need to purchase a subscription to access its features. However, I found it to be completely useless and full of scammers. I was never able to find genuine partners for any sport I wanted to play. Instead, I kept receiving nonstop messages from young women mainly interested in getting my WhatsApp number off the platform. The usability is terrible - you are forced to spend a lot of time waiting for the page to load, it often says you’re offline when you aren’t. You can’t see at a glance when someone has arranged a game as the time isn’t in the message that gets posted in the group, you have to click on it and wait for that page to display often only to find it’s at a time you can’t make. When I posted a match someone joined it without me having any say in whether I wanted to play them. And the whole app designed like a game to entertain 8 year olds with badges and gimmicks is just annoying for adults.
