## Newest reviews (15 of 66)

### 2/5 — No longer useful

*2023-04-27, version 1.11.2*

Used to be a great app but now out of reate and shows busses that are not really there. Better off with google

### 3/5 — My go to for buses, BUT …

*2022-11-01, version 1.11.2*

For showing bus times, delays or early buses, this is THE app. It’s far superior to Translink or texting for bus times. A map helps and you can change between minutes the bus is due and actual time.

That said, it fails a lot. In fact, for every few times I use it, it fails at least twice as much. Loading buses fails. At the top it says update failed or timed out. Annoying as heck. Mist of the time I close it and text bus info. If I need accuracy, I shut down my phone and open the app again. However, this is tedious and annoying. I wish they would just fix that glitch. It’s been there since the app came out. I’ve seen it through multiple phones as have others I’ve recommended it to.

### 2/5 — Has become annoying

*2021-02-11, version 1.11.1*

This was my go to app, but for months now it doesn't show you real-time information and has a warning that it was because the transit network was hacked. Surely it must be over now. Other apps don't have this issue

### 2/5 — System error

*2021-01-04, version 1.11.1*

Recently has been showing an error when tracking the buses. Please get it fixed ASAP
Thanks

### 3/5 — Please fix the app when you can :(

*2020-12-31, version 1.11.1*

I really love this app, it tells the time the bus comes exactly and where it is at the moment. But ever since the whole cyber attack with the trans link, the timings have been so hard. I really hope this will get fixed as I honestly use this app everyday. Will gladly change my review once it’s fixed. I hope this is read please and thank you.

### 4/5 — App image

*2020-06-25, version 1.11*

It’s a really good app. It helps me get on time to places but the only thing is that the image on the app needs to be updated maybe put a Translink bus or something.

### 5/5 — Love this app

*2020-01-31, version 1.11*

Regular Transit user here -I absolutely love being able to se The exact location of the buses on my route. This is the best app on my phone!

### 5/5 — Pretty much all I use for Vancouver commuting

*2020-01-25, version 1.11*

I’ve used this app for, gosh for 8 years? I don’t know for sure but it’s been on every iPhone I’ve had.

Every time I’ve seen a transit change, the app is updated on time. Example R buses. The app company also hasn’t made any drastic changes over the years (don’t fix something that isn’t broke)! Love it! Don’t ever change ✌🏼

### 5/5 — A Real Lifesaver

*2020-01-11, version 1.11*

The most accurate real time info from Translink with an easy to use UI that instantly tells you current and next bus info, when busses are delayed or early, and where they are on the map. Super handy to save your favourite stop/bus numbers for even quicker lookup. I wish every app was as simple and functional as this.

### 5/5 — Awesome radar app

*2019-11-29, version 1.10*

Great app, lets me know where my bus is before I leave home

### 4/5 — Some issues

*2019-10-03, version 1.9.1*

Hello, love your app, but I’m now having issues with it. I have iOS 13.1.1 and when I open the app, it looks dark, (like for night mode), during the day, and doesn't have any bus info.

### 5/5 — Where’s the bus? Siri, open Radar

*2019-09-15, version 1.9*

Simple, practical, with whole loads of awesomeness! I rely on Radar every day. Thank you for developing such a great app.

### 4/5 — Very visual and user friendly.

*2019-09-15, version 1.9*

I love that it not only show the location of stops on the map, but being able to tap on the stop icon tells me not only the stop number, but also which buses stop there.

This app really deserves to expand to the other major cities in Canada.

Well done.

### 5/5 — Best app for transit

*2019-09-15, version 1.9*

I’ve been using this app since Oct 2013 and it has never let me down. I find the information it gives eerily accurate. It is the only app, I’ve tried them all, that will tell you when a bus is cancelled. It’s easy to use, fast and doesn’t take up much room on my phone. This is my got to app for my morning commute, thanks to the developer for maintaining the support. I don’t know what I’d do without it.

### 5/5 — A VanCity essential

*2019-08-27, version 1.8.2*

I use this app every single day, it’s simply brilliant.
You should try all the other transit planning apps for a few days, use translink website, use google for a few days. Then get back to the real world: stand at a bus stop on a rainy vancouver day, and realize the ONLY app that is your friend is Andrew’s Radar. Get it!

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Time flaw

*2026-05-03, version 1.14*

Update your app so the times r more accurate. Even 5min allowance would be better than what it is now.also location shown is not correct. Not even on the req route. Update your app. The above problems have been ongoing for quite some time. Translink has been notified and they adv the problem is at your end. This was confirmed on numerous routes.

### 1/5 — Time flaw

*2026-02-03, version 1.14*

Update your app so the times r more accurate. Even 5min allowance would be better than what it is now.

### 1/5 — not live

*2025-05-14, version 1.14*

not accurate

### 1/5 — Why bother?

*2021-03-31, version 1.11.2*

It’s been close to 5 months and still isn’t fixed. At this point the weather app is more accurate than this app.

Better idea to just blindly guess when a bus is going to show up as you’d probably be closer to the truth.

Stop using COVID as an excuse for something that happened half a year ago.

### 1/5 — Not updated

*2021-02-03, version 1.11.1*

For some reason this app keeps saying it in not updated. Annoying!

### 1/5 — No real time info - even after update

*2018-12-04, version 1.8*

Since a week ago, I’ve had intermittent or “No real-time info” for any of the bus stops so select. I had high hopes for the recent update that claims to introduce real time info but it still doesn’t work. At all.

### 1/5 — Completely stopped working

*2018-12-04, version 1.8*

Used to love this app, but now it never has real time info. It’s useless.

### 1/5 — What happened?

*2018-12-04, version 1.8*

This was a great app and for the last week or more it hasn’t functioned properly or provided any real time info on buses. What happened? Shouldn’t you improve your products instead of making them worse?

### 1/5 — Doesnt work

*2018-12-03, version 1.8*

Doesn't matter which route I pick it just says “no buses” and the only option for app support is twitter.

### 1/5 — Incorrect tracking

*2018-11-30, version 1.8*

Lately showing no real time info very upsetting

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Awesome

*2026-02-22, version 1.14*

Thanks Andrew, been using the app for years and it’s still the best way to navigate. Thanks for doing this work out of the goodness of your heart. Appreciate all the upgrades you have added! 🙏

### 5/5 — Great

*2025-09-10, version 1.14*

I love the app. Maybe an info page on where the data comes from and the algorithm used to predict times (esp how accurate) would be super helpful.

### 5/5 — Invaluable

*2024-12-05, version 1.13.1*

Clear and effective, been using this app for years whenever I need to take transit

### 5/5 — showing route is very useful - one improvement suggestion

*2024-09-22, version 1.13*

suggest to remove when you tab on “yourself” and a human balloon pops up which is useless IMO.

### 5/5 — 90% of the way to great, but you should still use it

*2024-04-05, version 1.12*

I use Radar every day, have for over two years, and I can’t say enough about how it fills a real gap in the information I need to plan my day. However, there are four functions I wish it had:

- The ability to pin, say, three favourite routes to the lower header where the “Welcome to Radar” text currently is (saving a click and a search through the bookmarks list, which does not differentiate between routes & stops)

- A map overlay of the route that a user has selected (preferably something like a similarly dual-coloured line for the N/W & S/E routes like the icons already show, but static)

- Selection of multiple routes at a time to surface the interchanges that both service, if any (although I can guess a few reasons why this hasn’t been implemented)

- A surfaced option for the zoom level setting when a user clicks the current location button (I have never once clicked that button to see where I am and not immediately zoomed out to see more context & incoming transit vehicle icons, which changes the interaction from a one-handed click to a two-handed pinch; my guess is that the default was selected as a trade-off for screen sizes and resolution, but that could easily be a choice that’s given to users)

It doesn’t look like there’s a GitHub page for the app, otherwise I would have made these changes for myself & submitted a PR. Nonetheless, the app is immensely valuable to myself and I’m sure thousands of other people, and I’m very grateful that the dev keeps it updated for new versions!

### 5/5 — A solid app

*2023-10-17, version 1.12*

I’ve been using Radar for so long now. This is just a solid app. It does exactly what I need it to do. Should I run to the stop? Can I stroll? Should I just walk from the station to where Om going? Radar answers all those difficult life questions without ads or unnecessary fluff.

Thanks for the app!

### 5/5 — Change this

*2022-02-11, version 1.11.2*

For the most part, the app works well. I feel it would be easier to use if every time I open it, it defaults only to the area I am in and not see the whole lower mainland. Every time I open it to look for a stop, I need to shrink down to my location before I can find a bus stop. When a user opens the app, you either are using a saved stop or route so no problem there. Or, you are looking for stops near by. Change this and the user can save a lot of time when searching.
Thanks for your follow up Andrew. I was not aware of the feature you described of one tap and the app will zoom into my current location. Thanks for that.

### 5/5 — Radar is amazing

*2020-12-03, version 1.11.1*

Absolute best app I’ve ever had, I’m a bus nerd, and I spend about 6 hours a day on radar. The best app ever and it’s so cool!!

100% recommend

### 5/5 — This app needs way more exposure!

*2020-10-31, version 1.11*

It’s fantastic. I’ve been using it for years and it has NEVER failed me. It’s accurate. Shows delayed and cancelled buses. Stops are clearly labeled. Easy to use and easy to read. Seriously the best app I’ve downloaded onto my phone. Ever.
Thank you for making this thing!

### 5/5 — Perfect for everyday use in Vancouver. Love it!

*2020-08-05, version 1.11*

Thank you for putting together this app.

I have been using this for YEARS without fail.

It lets me track in real time where the buses on my route are . At the same time, I can see what options I have available at a given time at a give stop.

Awesome app! Should be more readily available across Canada !
