### 4/5 — Good App but only for level 3 data.

*2025-03-30*

To start off this is obviously trying to recreate the Gibson ridge products with the smoothing and NAIP imagery. We need super resolution and/or level 2 data. Level 3 data is useless for most people. Also we need MDA’s (Mesocyclone Detection Algorithim)

### 3/5 — Spotter Issue again

*2018-03-29*

Just like last year, spotter locations no longer show up on the radar for any of your apps. Yes, I am logged in to spotter network. RadarScope has never had this issue.

### 4/5 — Great app!

*2016-10-14*

I love this app the smoothing option and ability to filter the radar color table is awesome. My one request is to add more roads. Thanks and keep up the good work.

### 3/5 — Alright

*2015-06-06, version 1.17*

I really like this app, but I have noticed on reflectivity, it displays level 3 data. I would like it alot more if it displayed level 2 data. Otherwise amazing 👍🏻👍🏻👌🏻

### 3/5 — Simple things will improve

*2014-04-12*

This seems like a solid app. I like the smoothing effect. The app could be better. Make it where I can do a single pane, or make it easier to do because I can't figure it out. Make the zooming in and out more smooth. Add location tracker. Level 2 radar and allisonhouse integration would be a nice addition. The overall design could be improved on for the $14 price tag. I will update review as needed.

### 4/5 — Great update

*2014-04-02*

I bought this app when it first came out and have seen it grow over the years. It has been slow at times and that is understandable but this update is great. I love the fact that you can now click on the warning and get the warning info. There are a few thing I would like to see in the future but I would recommend this to anyone who actually knows what this app is capable of.

1. Allison-house integration .
2. Level 2 data which would be generated either from Iowa state or Allison-house.
3. A option to see a list of all warning and the option to click on one to take you to that radar.
4. Have a few different color tables available
To choose from or maybe a built in color table creator?

These are just requests that I think would make the app better. As it is right now it is fully functional and great .

### 5/5 — Great weather app.

*2014-03-08, version 1.14*

It's been good radar app. With winter storms that we had. With spring storms coming soon this will be good radar app.

### 5/5 — More

*2013-06-02, version 1.9*

I is good but it needs more

### 5/5 — The best weather app yet!

*2012-11-17*

No I'm not a professional meteorologist, nor a storm chaser, etc. But I do like watching and studying meteorological events so I have a bunch of weather apps, one that costs as much as this one. I kept balking at paying $10 for this app but the developers description mentioned several features that I was unfamiliar with. I'm glad I've spent the money as it is worth every penny IMHO.

The two split display is a first, as far as I am aware, and now I can't do without it. And, the two finger swipe to enlarge either split display to full screen is ingenious. It's as "configurable" as any, and more so than most, other weather app that I've seen.

This app along with Intellicast Boating and WeatherMap+ provides as complete weather data (atmospheric, ocean temperature and tide information, etc.) as anyone would want. For a pure NEXRAD radar data on a black background I still like the RadarScope app but the other app's ability to display terrain so as to be able to see if the landscape is affecting the weather cell is very nice.

I think the "NOAA Weather and Radar" may be more the kind of app that the one and two star reviewers were after.

### 5/5 — Chase big t

*2012-05-11*

Love the product. It would be nice to be able toggle between full screen and dual screen. In other words, one image full or two images splits screen. Great job and like the may 7th updates.

### 5/5 — Upgrade

*2012-03-23, version 1.7*

I'm a NSSL field observer in South Florida and this app is beyond imagine!!! PLEASE add an Allisonhouse data feed so I can view storm tracks and lightning data.Someday maybe a feed from the NHC?? Thank You Ralph.

### 1/5 — BRING BACK SOUNDINGS MOBILE IN THE U.S. this app is actually good though level 2 viewer would benice

*2025-05-08*

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE

### 1/5 — No updates or support.

*2020-01-16*

This app and the developers other apps are now mostly useless to do lack of updates and changes made by the data sources. Don’t waste you money, another dev that took the money and ran.

### 1/5 — No radar images!

*2019-10-22*

What’s the point of this app? No radar images displayed!

### 1/5 — Dude

*2019-02-13, version 1.31*

Plz tell or let people know that the products in the pictures require an Allison house subscription!! 12.99 for maps???

### 1/5 — I hate it is an understatement

*2016-03-26*

I got this for a background on Apple TV. It’s not the least bit intuitive and I can’t find a way to zoom in once I zoom out. It’s not easy to navigate or find what you want to display. It’s all trial by error. This is a complete waste of money and I’d avoid it. There are far better programs for a fraction of the price. You will regret the purchase.

### 1/5 — Bad Value

*2012-10-13, version 1.7*

Would be ok at 99 cents. Not very configurable.

### 1/5 — Horrible App

*2012-04-14, version 1.7*

This is the worst weather app I have ever bought; Apple should review this app. I am a boater and fly fisherman I own many weather apps for both iPhone and iPad, but this is by far the worst app I have ever purchased.

### 1/5 — Poor Performance

*2011-07-19*

This app has much potential, but needs lots of work. it has no setup or real "Help". It is slow to respond. Not worth the price when there are better radar apps for less. suggest you wait for significant updates. hope the developers will streamline a "friendly user" interface.

### 2/5 — Apple TV version - NO ZOOM?

*2018-06-12*

I've been looking for an AppleTV version of the (much superior) RadarScope app that I use extensively on my other devices. I thought this might be it, and it does offer a lot of the same radar products to select to show on the map. Scrolling around the map auto-selects different transmitters to display, which is fine although I think it could do a better job linking adjacent transmitters to show a more complete map. Especially when there is NO ZOOM on the image, and the screen is showing nearly a 500 mile wide view! The radar range is just about entirely enclosed within the screen view, but if you want to zoom in to less-than-the-entire-state... Too bad, can't do that.

VERY disappointed. Also disappointed that I cannot browse these reviews on the AppleTV, only the aggregate star rating. Considering the price for this, zooming is a MASSIVE oversight to be left out.

### 2/5 — Lacking

*2013-04-04, version 1.9*

No storm relative velocity.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Great app and not for your average weather enthusiast !

*2022-06-23*

I love this app, even though for me when I used correlation coefficient I was used to the red and orange color scheme rather than the current one. (If possible make an option to change it to the normal color scheme please)

### 5/5 — Best weather app

*2020-03-17, version 1.31*

Apple tv does work now just saying i did it on my tv it works fine please though dont take remove this app off the Appstore please i love this app nothing like this out there!! Worth the 12$ just update this app more! Please and bring back the satellite app you guys need revive this app please it will be worth it. Edit please update the app!!

### 5/5 — 👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼

*2017-04-28*

Fantastic!!! needs advisory and special weather statement and fix map graphics but great app!! 🖐🏼⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

### 5/5 — I love this radar app.

*2016-12-04*

I love the split screen feature the most. I can watch two radar products at the same time for one radar location. The radar mosaic is wonderful to see the larger picture.

### 5/5 — Awesome

*2016-05-25, version 1.26*

Really the best radar app available, especially now with Allison House integration.

### 5/5 — Very good for all Weather needs

*2016-02-08*

This is a great weather app. Not just your basic weather app. Has lots of great features. Great radar!!
If you own a MacBook, Weatherwall is absolutely incredible. Everything you need for your inner weather geek(nerd) needs. (Me)

### 5/5 — Awesome Radar Application

*2015-11-13, version 1.22*

Great app!!

### 5/5 — Add more stuff

*2015-08-14*

I would be even better with 3d hail cores and tornado hail signatures 3d maps it would make it so much better

### 5/5 — Amazing for the Enthusiast

*2014-09-13*

This gem in the Weather category seems to be overlooked. With more features than the competition, I don't exactly understand why. Definitely get this app added to your iOS weather arsenal.

Pros:
* Split view. Unheard of in other iOS weather apps.
* Dual Pol Products
* Storm Relative Velocity based on Storm Speed & Motion
* Reflectivity Mosaic
* AllisonHouse Integration (for MCDs & Watches)
* Spotter Network Integration

Cons / Bugs:
* UI leaves something to desire

### 5/5 — Great app!

*2014-06-06, version 1.17*

Very clear and accurate radar. Great dual-pol products and reflectivity!
