Just wish for what you buy it for you get so more features. ### 2/5 — HORRIBLE CONTROLS RUINS PERFECT APP *2026-07-23, version 5.8.0* Horrific UI. I don’t know why it was changed to be microscopic font. This has so many great features, but the font size,/button size just makes for a horrible time to use it. I remember when this was a perfect app, and now i hate opening it. I hate looking at it. I open it every once in a while on accident, and then I realized how a once perfect app was ruined by a dumb choice of shrinking the buttons size. ### 2/5 — Used to be Great *2026-06-28, version 5.7.2* This was a great app when it hit the scene. So much so I purchased it. It's since been stripped of pretty much every feature I paid for. It's continually declined in features and usability to the point it's practically worthless now. The initial GUI had a learning curve, but was very usable. Now it's just awful. For instance click on the map in a warning zone and it's impossible to clear the alert which fills the entire screen. The search for a great weather app because this one isn't it any more ### 2/5 — Doesn’t work with lockdown mode turn on *2026-05-08, version 5.7.1* Great app, but I had to turn on lockdown mode reasons and now the app no longer works. To be more specific radar doesn’t show anything it’s just black. ### 1/5 — I paid $10 for this app and now features are locked behind a subscription *2026-04-26, version 5.7.1* This should be illegal. ### 4/5 — Works great…when it actually works. *2026-04-15, version 5.7.1* The app will sometimes refuse to load despite network/data strength, making it incredibly unreliable during storms. When it DOES load, then the information is easy to interpret and use, but there’s always that chance that it doesn’t load anything. I’d look elsewhere until they fix it. Edit: If it werent for this app that I checked on a whim, my family and I wouldn’t have taken shelter from a tornado that dropped less than 2mi from us. The storm wasn’t even warned for Severe T-storm and no tornado watch or warning beforehand. Extra two stars for that. ### 3/5 — Lacks dependability *2026-04-15, version 5.7.1* Love RadarOmega, but can’t depend on it as my only radar app because it tends to go down during major severe weather outbreaks. Not much use if it can’t handle high traffic when it matters most. ### 3/5 — Great, but missing some features. *2026-04-13, version 5.7.1* The spotter feeds, togglable layers are really cool, but I would like to see some features added. It already has a spotter network layer, but doesn’t include spotter network reports, just LSDs and spotter locations. I would like to see that added. Also I would like switching from MRMS to local radar to be easier, such as it automatically being enabled when you deselect a radar, and it bugs out if you switch to it in split screen mode. ### 3/5 — Was the best radar app, but... *2026-04-09, version 5.7.1* I have had Radar Omega for a couple of years and subscribe at the Alpha level. Opinions vary, but R/O was by far the best app in my opinion, surpassing my former favorite, RadarScope. RadarOmega has a lot of great features integrated into it including the ability to use it across any of your devices; dual pol advanced products, chaser video feeds, multiple fixed cameras and a matching desktop application that many apps like WeatherFront don't have. Anytime I have emailed a question about something, their meteorologist staff is always quick to reply with a comprehensive, thoughtful answer, so they obviously care a lot about their product. I don't know what's going on with the last several updates, but they have not made improvements that make any sense, and have actually made it harder to use. For one thing, the display font is tiny and difficult to read , no matter how you have your display settings configured on your iPhone; the satellite display map option has a gold tone to it, when compared to other, newer apps, and some of the overlays they have added just don't make sense, at least not to me. My subscription is up and I plan to drop to the lowest tier, while adding WeatherFront and WeatherWise to my options. I really hope that R/O gets their act together soon because I would love to continue to support their product. ### 1/5 — Look elsewhere *2026-03-29, version 5.7* This app has been left behind. I’ve been paying monthly since I got the app and only thing it will allow me to look at is the FREE version and not the Beta subscription which I pay for monthly. When I purchased this app it was sold as a “one time purchase” price. Less than a year after buying the app, the company retroactively changed the terms of sale and removed features that I had paid for! They then locked them behind a monthly subscription fee! This is one of the most repulsive business practices in existence. They also do not respond to customers. ### 1/5 — No longer updates *2026-08-02, version 5.8.0* 5 years ago this was my favorite radar app. It was cutting edge, and was updated frequently. However, about 5 years ago they stopped updating it and sometimes go years at a time with no updates. Now, they might update with “minor bug fixes” every year or so, but that’s it. RadarScope, WeatherWise update almost weekly and are far superior for the same price as RadarOmega charges…and WeatherWise doesn’t charge addon costs for the fast scan radar updating like these people do. Unless they upgrade this app to 2026 standards — and keep it updated — you’re throwing your money away unless you just use the free version. I started using your app in March of 2024 and for over 2 years I’ve been paying for your gamma subscription. And despite the amount of people telling me in the last year to move over to different apps I stuck with yall because despite the app being glitchy and not working properly quite a few times I liked the app and didn’t know if I could switch over. But in the last day or so your chasers that you are supposed to pay revealed you haven’t been paying them and instead of being upfront about it and communicating you pinned the blame on Max Velocity. The lack of communication on your end when you knew your business was collapsing has led to this. And i can’t support yall anymore for this. We have moved on from you radar omega it’s time to shut it down for good and apologize to the world for what you did. I canceled my subscription less than 10 minutes ago and I will proudly use Weatherfront from now on. Costly and unsafe. ## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — I don’t know what the others are saying *2026-08-10, version 5.8.0* It costs 8.99 full time purchase to get the app right than $12 month for the full package but really technically it is cheaper than RadarScope has several models of tempature, tropical systems, radar, satellite, 3d it has everything so really RadarScope has better reviews but for what this is 10x better sure it is good but if you look at radar scope this is amazing, let alone specific dates and 250 frames for slideshows of storms, and even heat warnings, winter radars, fire warnings, it has everything. So really whoever is doing the review, doesn’t realize for mobile (iphone) it doesn’t get better than this ### 5/5 — Radar Omega is phenomenal *2026-07-23, version 5.8.0* This is an amazing and very user friendly app and in my opinion as accurate and more detailed than Radarscope and other radar apps.
