### 4/5 — Very cool way to see the world!

*2026-04-29, version 1.0.14*

It’s a great app, allows you to examine the data in every conceivable way. A few feature requests from an iOS user, would be great to be able to scale the data on the map view, a single hotspot and all of the other data points turn green. If it was plotted along an exponential curve, that might be better. But at least a way to see nuances in a way that’s less binary. Also, would be spectacular to have the clicks be able to play through headphones, and instead of a “click”, have it be a tone who’s frequency is proportional to the energy of the received measurement. That is the say, lower tones for low energy higher tones for high energy. This would allow a user to get a more qualitative understanding of what radiation sources might be nearby.

### 3/5 — Need some work

*2026-03-28, version 1.0.14*

First of all, I don’t even have a geiger counter and you really have to connect one to the app to at least measure the radiation second of all I just want to at least change units to count per minute instead of counts per second. But the App is kinda Great on its own.

### 3/5 — Где русский язык?

*2026-03-13, version 1.0.14*

Почему в приложении нету русского языка , хотя сама компания сделана в России , почему обладатели телефонов apple получают совсем другое приложение если сравнивая его с приложение на Android (Why is there no Russian language in the application, although the company itself is made in Russia, why do owners of apple phones get a completely different application if comparing it with an application on Android)

### 4/5 — Please add option to use Bluetooth headphones for the clicks from app

*2025-12-22, version 1.0.14*

Add headphone option for app to keep it a bit more discrete and cpm option when app is minimized on phone or on Apple Watch no option to switch from cps.

### 4/5 — Its Amazing

*2025-11-12, version 1.0.13*

The application is already pretty close to perfection in my opinion.

If I could requests changes, I’d ask for the following:
1. A setting to keep the device awake when using the app. When I’m monitoring with the app, it often causes my phone to lock.
2. The pinch to zoom in the spectrum view is very finicky, maybe getting that to work better may be a good idea.
3. An option to have the device shut-down when the application disconnects.

Over, the application is amazing 🎉

### 4/5 — Settings

*2025-06-25, version 1.0.11*

I love the detector and only have one issue with the app. I can change the device to read out in REM and CPM but I cannot match that in the app. I hope they will make this available.

### 3/5 — Unstable and shuts down immediately upon opening

*2025-05-16*

The app was great during an earlier iteration, but for the last update (past four months) it has immediately shut down upon opening. I can only use it on my iPad now. Will there be an update soon?

**Developer response:** Thank you for your feedback! Please update the app to the latest version, as the issue may already be fixed. If the problem persists, kindly contact us at support@radiacode.com so we can assist you further.

### 3/5 — Locks up

*2025-04-11, version 1.0.10*

Ever since iOs 18 it locks up esp if you are using the track function

### 4/5 — Not bad

*2025-02-17, version 1.0.10*

It would be good is the map function would work with apple car play so you can use it while driving

### 3/5 — Onboarding Needs Work

*2025-01-13, version 1.0.10*

On the plus side, the data this app claims to collect based on the App Store page appears minimal, which is great!

Unfortunately, the onboarding /initial setup seems to need quite a lot of work.

For one, there seem to be zero instructions. Not even a mention of what the charge status lights mean or even which button to press to power on. There's not a lot to figure out here, but I would have expected a guide somewhere.

Then there's the issue of connecting a RadiaCode to the app. Normally, you would expect to connect the device via the Bluetooth settings pane, but this does not work unfortunately. Instead, you're expected to just grant the app permission to scan for Bluetooth devices, and then it connects.

Concerningly, there's no authentication required. Once connected, the app can actually change settings on the device, such as muting audible alerts. I get this is a hobby device and not designed for safety critical work, but the idea that anyone nearby with a phone can just mute audible alerts on a radiation detector is… surprising.

That said, basic functionality seems to work as advertised. I just hoped for a bit of a more robust implementation, security-wise.

### 5/5 — This app is amazing

*2025-01-08, version 1.0.10*

I have this running all the time when I’m out and about with my Radiacode. They are getting more features seen in the droid and apple app, in this one now which is great. Can’t wait to see what they come up with next.

### 1/5 — App Crashes

*2026-07-01, version 1.0.16*

I have went as far as factory resetting my iPhone 14 Pro Max and setting up with a new iCloud and the app crashes on splash screen. This has been a known problem for 2 months minimum. Posted on July 1st 2026, I will update my review if this gets resolved.

### 1/5 — Keeps crashing

*2026-02-09, version 1.0.14*

What good is this app if it keeps crashing?

### 1/5 — Crashing

*2025-08-02, version 1.0.12*

App will not run. It crashes immediately.

### 1/5 — Won't open

*2025-07-31, version 1.0.12*

Cannot open the app in iPhone 15 Pro

### 1/5 — Can’t Open App

*2025-07-29, version 1.0.12*

App can’t even open.

### 1/5 — App crashes constantly

*2025-07-12, version 1.0.11*

Great device but 90% of the functionality is useless because the app constantly crashes. I have reinstalled the app several times with no change. Hope they fix it at some point.

### 1/5 — Great UI doesn’t mean anything if the back end is always broken

*2025-07-11, version 1.0.11*

Features that flat out don’t work, no way to manage firmware on devices, no way to roll back firmware when the devs inevitably break Bluetooth connectivity. Wake up guys, fix your stuff actually release a single stable update who’s listed features aren’t vaporware till next release. My 103 is effectively useless till this app updates next, I can’t run calibration because the spectra list doesn’t populate. Fancy ui is great but it doesn’t fix the fact that I can’t actually manage any of their devices with this app by itself, you will need an android or pc inevitably just to calibrate because they started with damming the ui look nice I stress of just making an app that’s useful. I have to carry an android phone just because this app doesn’t work still. It’s nuts.

### 1/5 — Map Tracks Being Deleted

*2025-06-12, version 1.0.11*

The app works fine, however the main reason I use this is to record radiation tracks while travelling or on hikes. The tracks are deleted/lost in the app after a short time! Upon contacting support they said they were aware, and were working on a fix, but there’s no way to retrieve the old tracks.
Notify your users so they can export the tracks before they’re deleted! Unacceptable

### 1/5 — Crashes

*2025-06-10, version 1.0.11*

App crashes before opening. It used to work.

### 1/5 — No support for older iPhones

*2024-07-30, version 1.0.8*

After much research, I decided to get the Radiacode 102 only to find out that the app will not run on my iPhone 6s.

It's a shame that the older version of the app is no longer available. I know it can be done because other companies do it.

Sadly I now have to cross this amazing device off my short list.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Gets better with every update!

*2025-12-23, version 1.0.14*

This app complements my Radiacode 103G and 110 perfectly. The developer is very responsive to feedback both here and in the associated support channels online. The app plays well with my iPhone 13 both when I was on iOS 18 and now after my update to 26. Am I a bit jealous of the Android version? A little bit still, but the iOS version is getting more features and is closing the gap in every update.

### 5/5 — Great app with some work to do.

*2025-11-24, version 1.0.13*

The app is great. While the Android version is still ahead in features and functionality I’m noticing that I use the iOS version more and more.

### 5/5 — Great app and device

*2025-09-19, version 1.0.13*

Radiacode is a great device for hobbyist and I have loved having it. The app is easy to use and intuitive. Devs respond to feedback and have earned this review!

### 5/5 — Fun app

*2025-08-30, version 1.0.12*

Great app with fun features. Bluetooth works really well. My only suggestion is to let me see all of the tracks I’ve made at once

### 5/5 — App suddenly crashes

*2025-07-17, version 1.0.11*

I have the Radicode 103 which I discovered watching Radioactive Drew on YouTube. I love it and have enjoyed mapping with it until recently, the app on my iPhone keeps crashing. I have uninstalled it 4 times now with now luck and tried restarting both the 103 and my iPhone. Restarted the blue tooth and made sure all apps were closed and freed up space. I’m not sure what the bug is or the solution it has been great up to this point.

### 5/5 — Great app with radiacode device

*2025-05-11, version 1.0.10*

App works great (when paired with the REQUIRED radiacode). Constantly being developed to host more features.

### 5/5 — Great App

*2025-05-09, version 1.0.10*

Fun to explore the world of radiation. Keep up the good work. Great value for the hobbyist.

### 5/5 — Radiacode 103

*2025-05-07, version 1.0.10*

This app works great on my IPhone12. It has never crashed and I have ran it continuously for 18 hours without any issues. The battery drain is low to moderate. The built in GPS tracker seems to function accurately. The app communicates with my 103 device very quickly.

### 5/5 — Great! But please let us change units!!!!!

*2025-04-19, version 1.0.10*

I love this app and the radiation detector. As someone who’s around radiation sources a lot, it’s fun to be able to actually measure sources and even do some rudimentary gamma spectroscopy. However, I would really prefer to be able to use REM on the app instead of Sieverts. I can change the detector itself to REM but not the app? I still understand Sv so it’s not a big deal and doesn’t detract from the amazing app, but it could be perfect!

### 5/5 — Getting better with each new version

*2025-01-27, version 1.0.10*

Please add the ability to change the temperature to Fahrenheit. Thank you for continuing to make the app better!
