### 5/5 — Super Innovative!

*2020-01-22, version 3.0.1*

My friend introduced me to this app and I’ve been having so much fun with it ever since! I was at a concert recently and I decided to check Radical to see if any of my other friends were there and turns out.. they were! We ended up meeting up afterwards and it was a great experience made easy by Radical. Would recommend!

### 5/5 — Easy to make new friends!

*2020-01-21, version 3.0.1*

I heard about this app from some girls in my sorority and I love it! Not only have I connected with people I know but now I’m meeting mutual friends! Such a fun idea and perfect for making new friends in college

### 5/5 — New Concept

*2020-01-21, version 3.0.1*

Very refreshing to have an app dedicated to meeting new people through mutual friends and connections. Honestly help a lot as a person who loves going out and getting recommendations!

### 5/5 — Great new app!!

*2020-01-21, version 3.0.1*

Radical is a great new app that helps people interact with each other. Although it can be easily used as a dating app it also is so beneficial for making new friends!! If you were to move to LA it would be an easy way to see if you have any mutual friends or friends of friends in the area. It is super easy to use and fun to check out different people’s profiles. A MUST DOWNLOAD!!

### 5/5 — Great upgrade

*2020-01-16, version 3.0.1*

I joined the app when it came to the UCLA campus 2 years ago. The app is basically unrecognizable now. I think the creators took into account all of the feedback from their initial launch and really used it to their advantage to create this new version. This version is simple, practical, and fun! They have cut back on the notifications and it is much more interactive.

### 5/5 — Does the job

*2020-01-15, version 3.0.1*

I like the layout of this app. It is simple, organized, and to the point. I think a lot of thought and attention to detail went into this app. I could really see it taking off. I think that a lot of the possible concerns with this app have been addressed and mended accordingly. I am excited to see it gain more exposure.

### 5/5 — The Social App We Need!

*2020-01-13, version 3.0.1*

I like how this app is totally different from anything I’ve ever experienced. It’s fun to look through the people on the app and I’ve found a lot of people with similar interests as me. I have found it much easier to approach people and make new connections. I think it will be very successful in and around college campuses.

### 5/5 — 10/10

*2020-01-13, version 3.0.1*

This app is pleasing to me. It is a great way to interact with other humans! I use it all over Los Angeles and have bumped a lot of people who have friends in common and similar interests as me. This app is unlike anything I’ve used before. It’s mo better!

### 5/5 — Refreshing!!

*2020-01-12, version 3.0.1*

I am super excited about this app and I love the mission behind it. I have found myself using it all over Los Angeles and around UCLA. The app is filled with super fun, social, and interesting people. I really like the community feature. This app has connected me with so many people and I can’t wait to watch it grow!

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — HATE THIS

*2020-02-23, version 3.0.2*

I go to UCLA and they’ve been on campus hiring “influencers” to post on their IG and Snap stories and throwing events to try to get us to use their app (with the requirement being you have to “bump” a certain # of people to gain admission).

I was curious and decided to download it and I regret it in a big way. They send SO many notifications and also infiltrated my contact list. I now get text messages from them without ever giving them my phone #! (They actually programmed a phone number in my contact list without my consent). On top of that, they sent messages to everyone in my contact list without my permission. Disgusting!

Beyond the invasiveness, no one I know actually uses this seriously. They’re either getting paid by the company, or are “using it” to get free stuff. Don’t bother unless you want them taking over your phone.

### 1/5 — DON’T TRUST THIS APP

*2020-02-12, version 3.0.2*

This app is beyond sketchy!!! By downloading it, they add a contact into your phone without your permission called “Radical.” They phrase it’s as “passwords are 💩, let us use your phone number instead.” Seems innocuous...they then ask for permission for your contacts (saying it only works with contacts), but then invade your contact list, add their own contacts to your phone, then spam you to death with notifications. BEWARE, DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY!!

### 1/5 — Texted my whole contact list

*2020-01-09, version 3.0.1*

App is so scammy and such a piece of junk. Constant sms messages even after I unsubscribe and texted all of my contacts without my approval and knowledge

Classic sign of an app faking their growth, it’s garbage

### 1/5 — Privacy Violation

*2020-01-09, version 3.0.1*

I turned myself off the “discover” ability and turned location settings off for the app. Still getting notifications that “people are viewing your profile”.

Also, no one has ever said “bump me on radical” instead of “what’s your insta” but nice try. People only joining to get money from them but that’s not real users

### 1/5 — You can’t delete your account!

*2019-02-06, version 2.1.2*

Once you make an account with this app there’s no way to delete it! I would really appreciate if there was a way to delete your account like there is with other social media.

### 1/5 — Pointless and annoying

*2019-01-09, version 2.1.2*

After they launch at your school get ready to be bombarded with dozens of pointless alerts letting you know that the football game and tailgates are gonna have a lot of people at them while constantly setting up tables on your campus to provide events for them to advertise. Not worth the time/annoyance. Also that's BS that this app is rated 5 stars when there's numerous 1 star ratings... Sounds sketch

### 1/5 — Avoid by all means

*2018-10-02, version 2.0.1*

This app is one of many that have landed on SDSU’s campus that have come to map out the locations of “hot zones” (primarily targeting Greek life) so that they can show other “edu secured” users where other college students are at. Few problems with this. First, not all edu emails are deleted and many remain active so u have non students knowing where young students are at. Second, this can only cause problems in Greek life as it can lead to the invitation of unwanted guest. Third. Although all staff edu emails are blocked, it takes one student to show admin. This app would be great if they pivoted towards concerts/festival mapping because current tech on that is weak

### 1/5 — Pointless

*2018-03-09, version 1.2.1*

It’s a combination of other social media apps that we already use and enjoy much more. The name is dumb and the “no parents allowed” motto is stupid. That’s the way most social media apps start out, but there’s nothing to prevent them from having an account. So what if you need a .edu email account. Numerous state schools don’t deactivate .edu emails after graduation. Many students get away with getting student discounts for years after they graduate and leave college. So nothing does prevent non-students from being on the app. Pointless altogether. And the employees harassing people on the streets forcing flyers into people’s hands is ridiculous. Additionally, all the good reviews, likely written by people involved in the creation of the app, center around “seeing what people in campus are doing” and “where the parties are at” when we can find this information out on instagram stories, Facebook pages, and Snapchat stories. Overall a pointless app.

### 2/5 — Filled with narcissists

*2020-01-25, version 3.0.2*

This app is filled with instagram ‘influencers’ and narcissists. Doesn’t seem to work anywhere outside of the west side of Los Angeles. A lot of profiles on this app are from people who know the developers. This isn’t really designed to connect people in any meaningful way. Seems like it’s built by narcissists for narcissists. Shame that the app doesn’t deliver on what it advertises.

### 3/5 — Invite code

*2021-02-09, version 3.0.3*

I don’t have an invite code and it will not open

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Love it - and easy to use

*2020-03-23, version 3.0.3*

Great way to meet people offline!

### 5/5 — Best social app ever

*2020-03-06, version 3.0.3*

Unlike other social apps, radical is fun and relevant since you can meet up in real life. Love it, 5 stars, download today!!!!

### 5/5 — New to LA

*2020-02-22, version 3.0.2*

I moved to LA recently and this app has been a huge help. I’ve met up with a few people and they were all normal good people lol

### 5/5 — Fun!

*2020-02-22, version 3.0.2*

Low key love this app!

### 5/5 — Great way to meet new people

*2020-02-05, version 3.0.2*

The location based connection is the best part. You see someone cool nearby, you bump them, you’re talking. It’s that easy.

### 5/5 — future of social media!!

*2020-02-03, version 3.0.2*

This app is the future! I love everything this app stands for… promoting real interaction with your friends and peers as opposed to spending hours on social media, starring at a screen.

I live in LA and I was walking around Melrose the other day only to be alerted by Radical that my one of best friends was super close to me! We were able to meet up for a quick coffee then got back to shopping.

I also love that with the “bump” feature you can see who is interested in chatting with you and from there decide whether or not to pursue a conversation with them. It’s uch better executed than other social & dating apps.

Lastly, I love the sleek look of the app and how easy it is to use & understand! It took me maybe 5 minutes max to start using the app when I first downloaded it. It’s a very simple and smart concept! I’d recommend to anyone looking for more positivity and human interaction in their life… 10/10!!!

### 5/5 — Super Dope App

*2020-02-03, version 3.0.2*

I’ve been on Radical for a few weeks now and I love being able to see when my friends are near me! Super cool app and I love what it stands for - encouraging face to face interaction. Definitely recommend to all!

### 5/5 — This is very good

*2020-01-29, version 3.0.2*

This app is really fun. It’s taken off at UCLA and it’s cool to see what’s happening around town. I’ve met over 30 people and everyone is doing something really interesting. Well done to this team for creating a better version of social networking

### 5/5 — This is legit

*2020-01-24, version 3.0.2*

Its crazy how well this works

### 5/5 — Refreshing new social app

*2020-01-23, version 3.0.2*

I’ve really enjoyed using Radical and have actually made so many new connections because of it! I love how it makes people engage in real life. I’ve made a lot of new friends where I live and love using it when I’m wanting to connect in new areas too!!
