### 3/5 — Bad display of car arrival time

*2024-11-03*

From booking the ride, the app displayed an arrival time of one minute. It took ten minutes

### 4/5 — can’t pre-book due to UI scaling issue

*2022-03-03*

good app for ASAP booking, but when trying to pre-book the only option that shows up is “RESET TO ASAP” at the bottom without the ability to scroll down for other options. This is using the smallest font on an iphone SE 1st gen. If the font size is increased then only the time is at the bottom. Please allow UI scaling to accommodate smaller devices or have a multi step confirmation process that doesn’t rely on screen real estate, thanks!

### 3/5 — not user friendly

*2021-08-21*

The app doesn’t allow you to put your whole address in if you have a Unit or Apartment number. And it won’t work with some Debit cards either.

### 3/5 — ❤️ Radio Cab 💔 This app

*2021-07-25*

Declines all my credit cards, won’t work with Apple Pay. Please fix this.

Too many reviews talk about RC as a beloved local business vs the evil empire of Lyft and Uber. Yes, RC is more reliable, their drivers are better, and all for a few bucks more. I’ll take RC over Lyft or Uber any day of the week!

But please fix the app. I don’t mind paying in the taxi, but if you’re going to feature Apple Pay and a card scanner and so on, make sure it works.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Scheduling Not Effective

*2025-03-16*

No issue with the app other than that the scheduling logic seems broken. Like other reviewers, I was expecting the scheduling ahead feature would ensure we had a driver arrive at the requested time. However, the last few times we used this they did not end up assigning a driver until the actual time we requested and then the cab was 20-30 minutes away. Since we typically use this for airport dropoff, we ended up having to cancel and switch to Lyft the last time, which had a driver within 5 minutes. It is a shame because we’d rather support a local cab service, but it’s just too unreliable.

### 1/5 — No mobility chair transport in Washington County

*2024-08-21, version 3.13.0*

No mobility chair transport in Washington County. Which is a Portland address and zip code. All in the Portland Metro. Only needed to go 5 miles. What a joke.

### 1/5 — Bad app

*2022-11-05, version 2.16.0*

Worst app ever better to use Lyft

### 1/5 — Push notifications

*2022-07-06*

Great company but after a ride I received roughly thirty push notifications asking me to rate the company so here you go. You wanted this one star super bad

### 1/5 — Pick a Price, Not for Airport Use

*2022-05-16*

I scheduled a ride home from PDX Airport to home. The actual fare want up $5 beyond what the app had pre-charged (from 33 to 38). What’s the point in giving me the fare amount first, then running the meter and changing the meter fare when the ride arrives? It feels like bait and switch.

Also, Using RadioCab for PDX airport pickup was not a good experience because I watched many other cab companies use the Island 3 Taxi stand which would have been faster than waiting 40 minutes for RadioCab.

I think I’ll continue to use RadioCab for scheduling early morning trips from home to PDX, but never again for leaving the airport.

### 1/5 — Terrible

*2022-03-29*

I set up an account with them and want to close it now and they tell me they don’t have my information, even though I’m in the app look at settings. It says contact us to delete your account. Also there is no way of doing multiple stops unless you call them, why would I want the app if I have to call them anyways. Last, the person I was talking very rude & unprofessional. I will never recommend this company to anyone.

### 1/5 — Payment methods don’t work,

*2021-12-08*

The app wouldn’t take my apple pay or credit card to prebook (these methods work everywhere else)and it keeps changing my pickup location. Spent way too much time trying to book a ride and had call them old-school style.

### 1/5 — Scheduling a ride doesn’t mean what you think it means

*2021-09-15*

I used this app the way I use other drive-hailing apps, to schedule a pickup hours in advance of my departure time. I didn’t want to risk looking for a ride at the last minute so thought a several-hour advance booking would ensure a timely pickup. After twenty minutes passed (could’ve called sooner of course but wanted to be gracious and had built in a buffer anyway) I finally contacted the help line. Dispatch said yes, they saw my ride had been booked and confirmed but they were still waiting on a driver to accept the ride. I didn’t know what this meant, as when a ride is confirmed on other apps it means someone is coming (and if not, they let you know). I asked how long I might need to keep waiting, he said he had no idea. He asked if I wanted to cancel the ride, and I had to so I could toggle over to Lyft or Uber to see if I could make my appointment in time. The fact that a “confirmation” means only that they’ve received your request but does not guarantee a pickup should be make abundantly clear. It’s absolutely useless otherwise. Sat out on the sidewalk waiting naively for twenty minutes and might’ve been there all day had I not called. Developers, please make the person aware of this fact so they can have a backup plan. I missed my appointment, it turns out, because of this flaw. Not a great day for me.

### 1/5 — Scheduled a ride to the airport that never came

*2021-07-08*

No one called or texted to notified me that the cab I reserved for 5 am was delayed. When I called to check on the status of my ride the operator said it was 10-15 min behind schedule. 15 min go by and still no cab. So I call again. The operator says the cab is still 10-15 min out. He offered no apology and didn’t try and find me a closer cab. We were able to get a Lyft to the airport but the experience left me quite stressed. The threat of missing a flight is never fun and the company didn’t handle the situation gracefully. I have to wonder what the point of being able to reserve/ schedule a ride if the company doesn’t respect the reservation.

### 2/5 — Read if you tip with cash

*2021-08-21*

Hey - there app will force a 15% tip on top of the HUGE cash tip you usually give drivers. So set the “tip” to zero. Otherwise the tips will cost you more than the trip!
Otherwise an excellent experience!

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Easy to use

*2024-02-01*

Easy and dependable

### 5/5 — Best cab in Vancouver

*2023-05-24*

I always use these guys for rides to PDX. Been burned too many times by Uber or Lyft drivers flaking out when needed to get to the airport. These guys are super reliable and have friendly drivers. The also hire veterans.

### 5/5 — App’s good, company is still probably the best

*2023-01-29*

App is a huge improvement over phone-only dispatch and the debacle known as Curb. Highly recommended.
Anywhere you go in the world (except London, as far as I know) cabbies are independent contractors, which means they work for themselves and lease the cab from the company. That means they’re under no formal obligations to service your order, although they may want to. Now, there was a time when Radio drivers were career pros, and they loved their town and their job. I was one of them. I think you still find more of these types at Radio than you do anywhere else. Still, ridesharing took its toll, and a lot of good people had to bail. I was one of those, too. Radio’s been through a lot in over 75 years, but it’s still cooperatively owned by the drivers themselves and is still probably the most legit company in town.

Keep in mind that chances are, your driver got your order and drove to you immediately. They do not control how busy the orders are or how many cabs are on the road.

### 5/5 — Excellent

*2022-06-02, version 2.16.0*

Awesome driver.

### 5/5 — Great Service

*2021-08-23*

Radio Cab is the only company to use!!!!
Always great service.

### 5/5 — True & Efficient

*2021-07-20*

With Radio Cab you have a date that beats Uber and Lyft plus it goes directly into the local community that makes Portland an original city. Kind drivers who know the streets with experience. You can’t get that from a corporation.

### 5/5 — Makes the right decision easy.

*2021-07-01*

Radio Cab’s app is the local answer to nationwide ride sharing apps. With this addition they are the obvious answer to lyft or uber. I don’t ever see a need to use any other app locally with this system!

### 5/5 — Well done

*2021-04-29*

WOW !! This driver was the fastest ride from across town I have ever ridden on. Not only that but he did not seem to brake the speed limit. He instinctively knew the right way to get in the best flow of the traffic. I was in the back seat and I can get easily car sick. I never even felt a bit queasy. His driving was rock solid. This gentleman is one of the best rides I ever had. Well done!

### 5/5 — Reliable

*2021-04-23*

Live in city. No longer have a car. Finding Radio Cab very reliable and nice drivers

### 5/5 — Great guy!

*2021-01-27*

Great guy! Lived him so much!
