I go through that and then an error message pops up: Oops, something didn’t work! Then takes me back to the start. So I can’t even set up an account. Very frustrating and utterly useless ### 1/5 — Dreadful app *2024-08-18, version 34.6.17* App shows taxis are available but once you try and book they show unavailable. Use Tap a Taxi instead, that app at least will get you to your destination. ### 1/5 — Clowns! *2023-07-08, version 34.0.25* We travel to cities in the uk regularly & never have problems with taxis. In our home city of Carlisle it’s impossible to get a taxi. I’m in negotiations with a Yorkshire taxi firm who are keen to expand. Radio taxis in Carlisle are soon to be out of business. ### 1/5 — Poor *2021-02-26, version 33.0.16* App keeps crashing and it’s time Wallet need to be working so you don’t need to worry about cash. It is 2021 after all ### 1/5 — Fix it please *2021-02-06, version 33.0.16* Useless since it’s update ### 1/5 — Don’t bother just phone! *2018-11-04, version 12.20.1* The sign up process isn’t exactly trouble free - sends verification code to your mobile number then goes off into a loop to nowhere once you’ve entered that code. Why all the problem of registration anyway? We’re not dealing with national security here. Alright maybe the App can give your location to the cab company and send you an SMS message as to when a cab will arrive but generally you can get that from the person on the end of the phone, so Radio Cabs sell me the idea of your App - what its USP? Easier just to phone - trust me! ### 2/5 — Spammy and buggy *2025-04-18, version 36.6.0* Sends a constant stream of unwanted advertising notifications which I didn’t opt in to and which I cannot stop without also stopping important ride update notifications. Also quite buggy. If you try to pay with Apple Pay but there turn out to be no taxis available, there’s no way to back out and try again. You have to force quit the app and restart it. Be warned that pre-booking doesn’t actually guarantee that your taxi will turn up on time. If your booking is at a busy time, expect to be picked up very late. If you don’t run into bugs and if you can put up with the spam and if you aren’t in a hurry, the service itself mostly works. ### 2/5 — When works is fab *2019-01-19, version 12.20.1* Sadly it has not worked since before Xmas but when it did work it was great Sort it out please ## Most praised reviews (6 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — Mrs *2026-02-28* Enjoying Radio Carlisle and their services ### 5/5 — Good service *2025-04-06, version 36.6.0* Amazing with my 3 year old daughter who has been in the taxi and she has a good time ### 5/5 — App has had big revamp *2025-01-25, version 36.4.0* This app has had a major update and is a massive improvement on the original, I’ve used it a handful of times recently to prebook for 5am work runs and it’s worked very well, introduction of pre pay means I don’t need to worry about carrying cash, alerts are received once a driver is despatched and an automated call is made when the taxi arrives outside.
