After this app I bought similar radio apps too, but none beat Receiver Radio. It has one of the largest library of radio stations on the App Store and the devs keep on adding if you mention a missing station with description and song identification as well. Also the delay between live radio and this app is significantly longer than other free apps ### 1/5 — Added Adverts *2026-05-03, version 4.7* Purchased foolishly thinking this would mean the end of adverts apart from ones broadcast on station itself, sadly this is NOT the case. Adverts played upon selecting station, pausing only pauses or even restarts adverts forcing you to listen before being able to hear your chosen station. Disappointed! ### 1/5 — Cannot play iHeartRadio stations *2026-01-14, version 4.7* Stay clear away from this app. It cannot play every single radio station as most of them are owned by iHeartRadio and cannot be played on this app. Useless if you ask me. Just use iHeartRadio or Music. ### 1/5 — A lot to be desired *2025-09-25, version 4.6.4* Overall it is an okay app. Yes, you will get access to a lot of channels, but the channels also possess ads. As many as a minute worth of ads before any non-ad content (i.e. music) plays. Also some stations take a long time to load and play. I would recommend other streaming music apps before purchasing this one. But I generally prefer to use the watch app for convenience. I have noticed with the recent watchOS update that the favorites button is no longer featured. That was a saving grace for me to find my saved stations. Now I have to use the rewind forward buttons which takes away convenience I needed. Also I would like to suggest in future updates to incorporate a recents tab to go back to previous stations as another option for the app user. It’s also not eligible for a straightforward refund request, they’ll ask you to talk to the developer that hasn’t updated in eight months. This app has transformed my radio enjoyment on the iphone and as i can use it just as i did with a traditional tuner. The developers go out of their way to make it work for the blind, and when this happens, it generally works better for all of us.
