I am in Alberta and am not fluent in French. Can this be resolved? ### 2/5 — Bug Ridden, Fiddly and Poor Support *2026-06-27, version 8.7.1* This used to be my goto radio player, especially in the car with CarPlay. But over the last couple of years this has become a poor quality app, with a lack of attentiveness from their developers to fix some fairly obvious bugs. Removal of the BBC stations was the first nail in the app’s demise, which I understand was down to their partners at the BBC wanting to keep everything in Sounds, but immediately took away serveral Of the stations I want to listen to in the car. Using app’s sleep timer is fiddly and requires way too many key presses. About a year ago the app showed my stored favourites on Car Play with the wrong station icons. I reported this via their website and they ignored it and have not fixed it despite many “bug fixes”. Now the app appears to use a lot more data than it used to, who knows why. Thankfully the stations I listen to the most now have their own Car Play compatible apps, so Radio Player is getting less and less use right now. No idea who is writing this app, but they clearly have no interest in listening to users ### 2/5 — Needs better programming *2026-06-06, version 8.7.1* It’s probably okay if you’re just sitting still and listening but I work in a warehouse that has several wifi points and every time the wifi does a handoff the app goes, “hey a new listener, let’s play a commercial, then the local radio station I’m listening to goes “hey a new listener, let’s play a commercial”. I then turn around and go back the way I came, ‘wifi handoff’, new commercial, then another local commercial. Oops forgot something, run up to office, “handoff”, commercial, run back down, “handoff”, commercial, go to far end, “handoff”… You get the idea. There have been times where I’ve heard only one song, and parts of others for an hour if I’m running around. I predominantly listen to three radio stations in the Toronto area. As of this update all three stations that I listen to are no longer available! When I listen to a normal radio o don’t just turn the volume down. I torn the actual device off. I use this app to connect to my car, when connected there is radio interference and most days it plays a 30 second loop of the radio station that I listen to. I tried other apps thinking it could be my car connection, but other apps are fine. Most recent updates have not only totally removed all of my favourites, but they’ve also made the app generally horrible to use. En plus j’ai régulièrement des problèmes de réception réseau depuis quelques temps sur mon lieu de travail. Du coup je perd régulièrement la radio en cours et du coup, je me tape pub sur pub. Now there are hardly any. Just recently when I ask Alexa to play my station or to launch Radioplayer it tells me it will resume Ocean FM Ireland but just plays part of a song on a loop, this also happens if I open the station on Apple CarPlay, this has only started recently and only when using the app; if I listen to Ocean FM Ireland on the radio it’s fine. Yesterday It seems to have sorted itself out when I listen to the station through Apple CarPlay or the app on my phone but on my Alexa speaker I’m still only getting a looped song. Why? ### 5/5 — Klasse App - mit Schwächen *2026-01-20* Ich hab die App auf iOS und Android wegen AndroidAuto wo ich sie je nach Fahrzeug einsetze. Was in beiden Versionen bisschen nervt ist die Radio Suche - schön wäre es ein Thema zu suchen „Techno“ oder „90s“ ohne dass dies direkt auf den Namen der Station führt. Die Suche sucht nur die Station, kein Genre. Die Favoriten lassen sich zwar speichern und abrufen, nervt jedoch dass man erst auf „Favoriten - mein Radio - Station aussuchen“ wozu muss ich auf „mein Radio“ wenn ich doch auf Favoriten gehe … sonst eine super App und nach ungelogen 15 Jahren Tu** In endlich eine super Radio App gefunden **Developer response:** Hallo, "Hardstyle" ist kein gängiges Genre bei uns. And I hope this app continues to stay ad free forever and that it will hopefully stay that way. However, just one thing: Can you guys please make it so that anyone who uses this app doesn’t have to wait 30 seconds for the next radio station to start before actually using the app? Thanks.
