## What is RadioStar?

This is RadioStar.

CRAFTED WITH OBSESSION

We didn't build an app. We built a radio.

The leather-grain cabinet. The warm amber glow of the ULTRA POWER frequency display. The needle that drifts across the dial as you tune. The speaker grille with its vintage mesh pattern. The chunky power switch that clicks on with purpose. The red LED that breathes slowly when powered, then pulses as you spin the dial.

Every shadow. Every highlight. Every texture. This isn't flat design pretending to be retro. This is a portal to 1965.

THE DIAL THAT CHANGES EVERYTHING

Rotate the outer ring and watch it move. Feel the haptic tick of each notch under your thumb. The weighted resistance of real brass. Between stations: static. That familiar warm hiss your grandfather knew. Then lock onto a signal and hear it fade in. Jazz from Chicago, news from London, oldies from a station you've never heard of.

No playlists. No algorithms. Just you, the dial, and whatever you discover.

REAL RADIO, WORLDWIDE

Hundreds of stations from Radio Browser, the world's largest open-source radio database. AM talk radio. FM music. NPR. BBC. Old-time radio dramas from the 1940s. All mapped to authentic frequency bands, just like the real thing.

### 1/5 — Has potential but where’s local stations?

*2026-07-06*

I personally think RadioApp is wayyy better! It gives you that nostalgic feel of “static” when tuning, and has almost all my local market stations. If I ever want to I can sort by country, state, and city as well. This app is just useless unless you’re in one of the few cities it has.

**Developer response:** Thanks for the response , please check the latest version which allows you to select location based on GPS , zip , postal code by country, hope that help a

### 5/5 — Vintage radio

*2026-04-27*

I like to play the radio when I go to bed. I have this app on my phone’s sleep screen. It lets me stream radio stations without distractions. Just like using a 1960s transistor radio.

The developer is responsive to the community and already adding more stations and features, but keeping the interface simple.

I highly recommend.

**Developer response:** Thank you so much for this wonderful review. Reading that RadioStar has become part of your bedtime routine really means a lot to me. The goal was to recreate the simple experience of listening to a real transistor radio without the distractions of modern apps, so I’m glad that came through. Thank you as well for noticing the updates. I’m always listening to feedback and will keep improving RadioStar while staying true to its simple, vintage spirit. I really appreciate your support! ❤️

### 5/5 — Fun app

Tune into the actual stations near you, with over 9,000 local stations across more than 160 countries. It used to be US only. Powered by your location and ranked by real
distance.

Real frequencies, where they are known.
When a station's broadcast frequency is known, the dial puts it exactly there. Tune to 97.2 and you find the station that really broadcasts on 97.2. Internet and unlisted
stations fill in the rest of the dial.

Tune into any city.
No GPS needed. Just pick a country and type a postal code, and drop into London, Tokyo, or your hometown from anywhere in the world.

It speaks the local language. In multilingual regions, the dial tunes to the language actually spoken there. Kannada in Karnataka, Chinese in Beijing , and so on , not generic national feeds. Works across every Indian state.

A fuller, cleaner dial. Sparse markets pack stations closer together so there is less static between them. Dead streams are filtered out, and if one drops, the dial rolls to the next station automatically.
