So while you can track radon exposure in a linear fashion, you can’t compare one date clearly against another. ### 2/5 — Great device with a useless app in terms of data tracking *2026-01-24, version 1.6.1* How in the world can you build an app that does not provide the date and time of a reading!? Otherwise, I really like the device. The frequency of readings really does make it better than competitors. But the fact that they can’t be bothered to add basic time and date functionality makes me wonder what else they are not doing. If it does know this basic thing, does it really know how to read radon levels? I hope so. ### 2/5 — App needs work *2025-11-09, version 1.6.0* App does not capture date and time. You cannot rename the device if you have more than one. Poor interface. All and all the app seems so poor that it does not give me confidence that the hardware works. ### 2/5 — Could Use A Tweak or Two *2025-04-27, version 1.4.0* The hardware seems to work however, the alerts can hardly be heard from the actual device. In addition, when the alert goes off on the device, there is no notification sent to your iPhone to inform you. ### 2/5 — Save your money. Use another brand *2024-04-16, version 1.4.0* I was a radiochemist for over 8 years and worked five of those years at a nuclear reactor. That doesn’t make me an expert on radon by any stretch but I suspect my experience gives me a perspective that your typical home radon testing consumer doesn’t share. What’s remarkable to me, however, is that despite my background, I feel exactly as other do: This app needs work. The fact I can’t do something as simple as rename a device to, for example, “Utility Room” speaks volumes. So, too, does the chief complaint expressed by many reviewers here: The app will not allow one to plot radon readings in a way that’s easily understood by your run-of-the-mill consumer. I should be able to select a date and time and the graph should return those readings. Why is something so simple out of reach? I suspect it’s because this company neither has the staff nor the expertise to address the app’s—and to a lesser degree, the RadonEye unit’s—glaring shortcomings. Nothing says “I don’t care!” more than a company that hasn’t updated their app in over 4 years and that’s why this gadget is going back. ### 2/5 — Why are there no time/date stamps in data? The history data is practically useless without time and date stamps. ### 2/5 — RadonEye vs EcoQube *2023-12-18, version 1.4.0* I have the RadonEye monitor in 2 rooms and the EcoQube in another room. The EcoQube app gives me day and time of the readings it takes, the RadonEye app doesn’t, it just give “data points “. In my case I want to know what day and time there are spikes, having a monitor show me “ at data point this is the reading “ does not give me the information I need. I emailed their support to ask if that can be converted to time and never heard back. So if you want to monitor the actual time a reading occurs buy the EcoQube ### 1/5 — Need date and time *2023-06-04, version 1.3.0* As other users indicated, please add date and time stamp on the x-axis. ### 3/5 — Device is great. I can use a separate app to remind me to save the data on certain days and review them. Makes it practically useless for figuring out sources of radon exposure. And the unit has date time on the display! How hard would an app update be? If the app fails to reach the detector, instead of retrying and automatically connecting when the detector is available again, it asks ME to reconnect it. Historical data is shown without the obvious context you want to see… the Radon level was high, when was it high??? The app knows the date and time of day but does not correlate the data in those normative terms. Crazy. ### 1/5 — App and unit aren’t connected long distance *2026-04-02, version 1.6.1* The unit seemed great. Was giving readings on the app just fine. Until I left town. Now the app tells me the unit has disconnected and if previous reviews are correct, that means that the unit has turned off and I’ve lost all of the data previously connected. This seems like a huge issue and the company should address this immediately. Until then, I will be returning the unit. ### 1/5 — Unclear App Origin *2026-01-09, version 1.6.0* Neither the physical manual nor the digital version linked from the QR code in the box include a link to this app. The manual says to install the "Ecosense RadonEye" app but this app does not have that name and the developer is some other 3rd party. It is therefore not clear this is the official app. Having to trust by comparing screenshots is poor practice for a device which sits in my home and connects INLINE through an app. The app itself looks like a developer's first ever written with no professional UI or UX consideration. ### 1/5 — No features *2025-10-30, version 1.6.0* App has no features . Very basic reading ### 1/5 — Stupid Graph Means Nothing *2025-04-15, version 1.4.0* Why can you add a date stamp from your phone to the data? Why does the data on your phone deletes if the electricity goes out or you unplug the unit? It should still save on your phone. Really useless app ### 1/5 — App is garbage *2025-04-01, version 1.4.0* As many others have noted, there are no date and time stamps to the data meaning you have no way of knowing if there is a real health concern when limits are breached. Also, it does not alarm you when limits are breached despite setting the app to alarm you. No mater how good the device is (tbd) this software is the reason why it will be returned. Again, shockingly poor execution. ### 1/5 — Not downloading data *2024-03-02, version 1.4.0* When I go to the data tab and tap on refresh, it displays a progress bar and it gets stuck at 92%. Tried unplugging, reinstalling app. ### 1/5 — Poor connectivity *2024-02-28, version 1.4.0* This app is constantly disconnecting from my bluetooth on iphone. The device then shuts itself off because it can't function without a bluetooth link to a smartphone. This is very annoying as you essentially can't use your phone for anything else unless you're sitting right beside the RadonEye. Oddly it doesn't appear in the phones normal bluetooth menu where all other devices would appear. So it seems the developers chose to use some different method than literally everyone else to pair up and I suspect thats why it doesn't work. After a lot of cajoling and babysitting I can get the device to do it's job maybe 60% of the time. The rest of the time it fails. It disconnects from bluetooth then turns itself off. Maybe the developers could have thought to try out their product to see if it works?? Yes, yes, you should try it out before selling it. ### 1/5 — The data tab is useless *2024-02-04, version 1.4.0* It’s just a bunch of lines but no way of knowing when any event occurred. It’s either a total waste or just a ploy to get you to pay more money for the interpretation. ## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — Great App that just works *2026-03-05, version 1.6.1* FYI: RadonEye app will only read from the device when within range of Bluetooth. Apple HomeKit integration would be perfect so I could automate a Raydon exhaust fan to operate within a set range or once in alarm range. ### 5/5 — Works great *2026-01-23, version 1.6.1* Not sure why some people leave bad reviews. I plugged the device in, installed app, and Bluetooth connection was found in 1 second with an audible beep sound from the device. I go to sleep, next morning check app and see an average reading and under data tab I see 10 data points, 1 per hour it seems. This is exactly what I want from an app like this. No fuss 5/5 ### 5/5 — Simple but useful app *2023-02-18, version 1.3.0* App is straightforward and easy to use and pair with device. The bottom line is knowing if you have a Radon problem and the device/app do a great job. ### 5/5 — Best in class R200M *2022-10-01, version 1.2.0* The app is intuitive. The sensor is designed by FTlab in Korea and is the most accurate in the world. The primary complaints I see about the data logging are time stamp associated. The issue is that this device is not internet of things (IoT) capable and therefore cannot regularly sync with a time server or satellite. ### 5/5 — most reliable and accurate consumer radon detector *2020-05-09, version 1.0.2* It’s very accurate Radon data reading. It uses a dual structured pulse ionization chamber system that can detect Radon level accurately, 95% confidence +-0.5 pCi/l, within the first 1 hour. Its base technology is NRPP certified. Easy to use. Simple UI. Strongly recommend for anyone who wants to monitor Radon at home. ### 5/5 — User interface design can be improved *2020-03-13, version 1.0.1* But otherwise solid ### 4/5 — Excellent monitor *2024-08-13, version 1.4.0* The best sensor at a reasonable price combined with a workable app. Unlike Airthings, this app / hardware combination doesn’t reliably choke on large downloads, it just works quietly in the background unless it detects an error and then it warns you. Could the app use some work? Yep, for example it could save / show the data in a format that includes time and date to make it more legible to humans. At the same time, it’s biggest use is determining whether a space is safe or not. For that, it works exceedingly well (with the usual time delay of any sensor) and mitigation efforts should show up decisively, if effective. I used RadonEye to ensure that the repairs we did to the basement made effective reductions to absolute as well a average radon levels. For that task, it is perfect. ### 4/5 — Great app but room for improvement *2023-01-13, version 1.3.0* It's a great app and great device, but I can't for the life of me understand what the "Data" tab is telling me. My radon alarm went off the other day and I wanted to know if it was just a one time spike or if it was a long term trend. So I went to "Data" and waited a minute or two for the data to refresh. Then when it loaded, the x axis wad "# of data points". What does that mean? Am I looking at a day worth of readings? A month? I don't know. It would be really helpful if the x axis on the "Data" tab was time instead. Also, I like how the chart shows the "alarm value" but the data is all over the place. Instead of showing 9000 data points, could you show an average reading or something? ### 4/5 — Great device but mediocre app due to lacking of timestamp on captured data *2020-10-30, version 1.0.6* This app get basic job done. The device is the best in the consumer market. If the app could chart and export timestamp, it will make the user experience 10x better.
